The Broken Angel & Her Overprotective Brothers-Chapter 293: The Birthday Dance
Emily opened the door and her gaze met with a pair of dark brown orbs as a young girl hurriedly bowed her head in greeting. "Ms. Alessandro, Master is waiting for you. Please allow me to be your escort."
She seemed to be in her late teens with freckles decorating her cheeks. Her dark hair was styled in a loose braid and she was wearing a simple yellow evening dress.
"Have we met before? You seem kind of familiar but I can’t recall correctly." Emily asked the girl as she took another step closer to take another look.
The girl seemed surprised as she looked up to face Emily. "This is the first time I have seen you in real life. Maybe it was someone else?"
Emily nodded her head in understanding as she gave the girl a warm smile. Returning inside the room to take a look at herself in the full-length mirror she asked, "How am I looking?"
The girl took a look at Emily for a long moment before a beautiful smile bloomed on her lips and her eyes sparkled as she nodded her head in approval and responded, "Miss is looking really pretty. Master will surely like it."
Emily felt her cheeks warming a little bit as she turned her attention back to the girl. "Thank you," and she really meant it. Since it was her very first time wearing something so bold, she was quite nervous and the girl’s positive comment did help her motivate herself a little bit.
"Alright." She felt excitement and curiosity bubbling inside her as she stepped out of the room. "After you."
The girl led the way and the two of them headed towards the south of the castle. Emily’s high heels clicked on the hard floor and the sound filled the empty hallway.
Within the next three minutes, the girl left her outside huge wooden double doors, telling her that Kaiden was waiting on the other side.
Emily stared at the doors for a long moment as she felt her knees trembling as anxiety started taking control of her.
Taking in a deep breath in a futile attempt to collect her nerves and calm them down, she finally pushed open the double doors.
Her gaze met with colorful balloons that descended from the sky as soon as the doors opened and as she stepped inside, she found the floor covered in cloud-like figures which gave the feeling as if she was walking on actual clouds.
She sensed his presence way before her eyes found him standing under the beautiful pavilion that was built at the center but near the edge of the balcony.
Beautiful vines covered with flowers were wrapped around the pillars with dozens of fireflies sitting on those flowers.
The dark purple and white drapes were used to decorate the pavilion with dozens and dozens of moonstones used to light the area.
A soft breeze was blowing with the scent of something sweet filling the air. Most importantly, Emily could hear a faint but very sweet sound of something magical that sounded like pure music to her ears.
The setting of the place was purely magical and ’otherworldly’ was not even close to the word that could describe it.
Her attention was pulled away from the decorations of the set and toward her boyfriend who was now standing right in front of her in a simple white velvet shirt with sleeves rolled up to his elbows and dark black pants and matching shoes.
A custom-made watch was the only accessory he carried on him and his shoulder-length silver hair was left loose in soft curls that made her fingers itch to run through them.
Their gazes met and Emily felt a wave of energy hitting her from the inside out.
"You look so gorgeous..."
"You dressed up quite well..."
Both of them blurted at the same time and it resulted in smiles that immediately bloomed on their faces. Kaiden closed the remaining space between the two of them as he pulled her into his arms. "You are looking breathtaking, sweetheart."
Emily felt her heart warming up at his compliment, not because she liked hearing such compliments but solely because it came from him, especially when she wasn’t really sure if he would like her look or not even though he was the one who selected the dress for her.
"I wasn’t expecting to see you dressed like... this. It suits you perfectly and somehow it matches well with my dress." Emily didn’t hide her admiration for the thoughts that he had put into their dressing code. The man had surpassed her expectations in this particular area.
"Thank you," Kaiden whispered as he placed a soft kiss on the corner of her lips before pulling away and entangling their hands together as he pulled her in the direction of the pavilion.
"This place looks absolutely beautiful, Kaiden. Thank you so much for all your efforts." Emily confessed as she was made to take a seat around the dining table set for two of them.
"As long as you are happy." Kaiden placed a soft kiss on the tips of her fingers before he moved to take the opposite seat.
He clapped his hands and Emily watched as pixies after pixies appeared out of nowhere with the meal that they had prepared for their dinner date.
The aroma that filled the air made her excitement rise as she watched the pixies serve the food on the plates. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
"Your special dinner dates always come with pixies as our chefs, don’t they?" Emily teased as she took a bite of the food and immediately felt the flavors filling her taste buds.
"Only for you," Kaiden responded as he gave her a little wink.
"Cheesy." Emily watched as a high smile bloomed on his lips at her remark.
"I got you a special cake for just today. I want to see if you can guess what is special about the cake. So be prepared." Kaiden informed her and immediately caught her curiosity.
"Alright, I’m looking forward to it."
