The CEO's Seductive Doll-Chapter 123: To be Under the Owner
Evan looked away, trying to hide his cheeks that were slowly turning red.
"I can see the merit in it," he admitted after a moment of contemplation.
Eternity smiled slyly at him.
"You truly are an exhibitionist!"
"Wha--" Evan’s head snapped in her direction, spluttering incredulously as he was clearly taken aback by her accusation against him.
But in the end, Evan sighed in defeat and nodded begrudgingly.
"Yes," he sighed heavily. "Yes, I am."

Eternity stepped out of the employees’ restroom, making sure to gargle and brush her teeth (she brought a hygiene kit at work) to make herself presentable so no trace of their attempted office sex would leave a visible mark on her.
"D!" a voice called out, too loudly even if it sounded like it only came from a few feet away from her. "What a coincidence!"
She spun around to look for the source of the voice, only to see J, who seemed to have just exited the restroom—the men’s restroom, of course.
"Hi, J," Eternity greeted back.
J walked closer to her, eyeing Eternity from head to toe like he was inspecting her appearance.
It was making her feel anxious and overthink that he might have an inkling that she and Evan tried to fuck in his office.
"I’m genuinely surprised that you’re still here," he said.
But it seemed like that wasn’t the case. Eternity felt relieved and confused at the same time.
"What is that supposed to mean?" She raised an auburn eyebrow in his direction.
Realizing belatedly that his words were slightly offensive, J began to explain nervously.
"I-I heard rumors about Sir Holz!" He stammered. "Bad things about him!"
’Bad things?’ Eternity echoed inside her mind. ’Is there a side to Evan that I don’t know?’
"Okay," she drawled, a hint of curiosity apparent in her tone. "I’m listening."
He nodded and seemed glad that he managed to untangle himself from a sticky situation.
"The reason why your position has been vacant for the longest time is because Sir Holz fires them as soon as they serve him coffee. It’s his version of a test, you see. If you made the right blend, he won’t fire you on the spot."
"But he’ll fire me sooner or later?" Eternity asked, trying to sound surprised upon hearing this gossip.
Not like she didn’t already know this beforehand.
J nodded.
"That’s right. But if you didn’t, you got to pack your bag and go home."
Eternity wanted to say something to defend Evan, but she noticed something with what J said.
"Is that a Next Top Model reference?" Against better judgment, a small smile formed on Eternity’s lips.
J’s brown eyes widened, and he started gushing.
"Giiiiiirl!" He practically squealed. "I loved that reality show!"
"So do I," she said, gushing back, but not at the same high energy level as he did.
"Speaking of models," J began, abruptly grabbing her wrist and pulling her away from the entrance of the women’s restroom because they were blocking the way. "Have you ever considered modeling as a career?"
Eternity shook her head. "I have never given it some thought."
"What a waste!" He exclaimed. Now they were standing at the corner of the end of the hallway, no longer blocking anyone’s path. "I think it’ll suit you more than being an office worker."
"Is that so?" she said, not knowing how else to respond to what he said.
"Yes!" J exclaimed enthusiastically. "With that face, you deserve to be plastered on every billboard and every magazine cover!"
Eternity couldn’t help but feel embarrassed by J’s words. Although Evan had always made her feel beautiful, it felt different to hear it being said by other people.
"You’ll inflate my ego if you keep praising me like that!" She joked, but what she truly wanted was for him to stop showering her with praise.
"You should be!" J insisted, fiercely placing his hands on his hips. "I think a girl like you would stand out more if you had more confidence in yourself!"
"Do I seem like I lack confidence?" she probed, genuinely surprised to hear this.
"I wouldn’t say you lack confidence," he clarified. "It’s more like, you’re too modest."
Eternity felt more confused. "Isn’t being modest a positive quality?"
"It is," J affirmed. "But someone of your caliber should be raising your chin high and holding yourself in high regard whenever you walk inside a room. It would be such a waste if you don’t."
"I..." Eternity tried to compose a coherent sentence in reply to what he said, but all she could come up with was, "I see."
J looked at her with an expression that she could only decipher as pity before proceeding to change the topic.
Thank goodness.
"Well," he said, raising his wristwatch to his face to look at the time. "It’s almost lunch break. I assume you also have no one to eat with. Because we’re new hires," he added as an afterthought.
"It’s almost lunch break already?" Eternity gasped in an exaggerated manner, though she admitted that she also wasn’t aware of the passing of time, not until now. "I haven’t made any friends yet in the CEO’s division, so yes, you’re right. I don’t have anyone to eat lunch with."
’Although I don’t really eat in general,’ Eternity thought.
But it’s not like he could read her mind, right?
"Sweet!" J beamed. "Let’s eat together!"
Eternity nodded, laughing nervously.

"You don’t look too good," J said, looking at her worriedly. "Is the cafeteria food not up to your taste buds?"
Eternity perked up from her seat, shifting her expression to a neutral one.
"I’m fine!" She assured before forking over broccoli and began eating it. "I’m absolutely fine!"
’No, I’m not,’ Eternity grumbled internally. ’I want to vomit all of this human food as soon as I can!’
J continued frowning at her. But after a few seconds of tense silence, he continued eating his lunch.
"So," he drawled as he took a bite from his egg and mayonnaise sandwich. "How was it?"
Eternity tilted her head to the side, acting like a confused puppy. "How was what?"
"Being under Sir Holz, of course."
