The Cursed Triplet Alphas' Fated Mate-Chapter 32: True Colors
Chapter 32: 32: True Colors
Sue
He stepped even closer this time and I took a frightened step back. My heart was thumping hard against my ribs and I was so afraid that I completely stopped breathing.
He kept coming forward, and I kept backing away, till my back was flattened against a wall. When he placed a hand on the spot above my head, I flinched, my heart flying into my throat at once.
This time, he let out a low chuckle as he grasped my chin and tilted my head up so our eyes locked.
"I’ll never hurt you kitten, so there’s no need to be frightened."
I swallowed emptily, blinking up at him for a moment before glancing away.
When I spoke this time, I didn’t recognize my own voice. "So, I have to marry you, or lose my pack?" ƒгeewёbnovel.com
The sound of Damon letting out a sigh filled up the room before he spoke. "I dont understand why you’re now sentimental. From all that I’ve gathered so far, you weren’t treated well by your family, and your sister married your mate while your parents supported her. You were even sent to go capture Angelo, when no one else has succeeded— that felt to me like you were sent on purpose to go die. So, why do you still care about those people?"
I bit at the inside of my cheek while feeling unsure of how to respond. I felt embarrassed after what he just said right now, because listing everything out now is making me feel like a fool.
But the thing is, even though all that he said was the truth, it dosent mean I went then to die. Yes, they hurt me and I do hate them, but I still don’t want them to get killed because of my stubbornness.
"I dont have to explain myself to you." I finally mumbled in response to Damon who snorted this time.
"So, you agree to the marriage?" Landon said this time and I let out a long breath before reluctantly nodding.
"Yeah."
When Angelo pulled away from me this time, the exhale I let out was so long, it rattled my entire insides.
"Good." Angelo acknowledged before turning away from me, whine I remained frozen in the same spot, my brain reeling from shock because of all that just went down right now.
Angelo had just revealed his true colors to me. This is definitely what he actually is like underneath all his silliness and teasing personality. It made me shudder right now as I was thinking about it. Him being the first born made a lot more sense now.
"I told you she had no choice." Damon drawled from his spot and I suckec in a deep breath to avoid doing anything unthinkable or silly like bursting into tears right now or screaming my lungs out right now.... Because it was clear that neither of those things were gonna make a change in my present situation.
"Now, you’ll get ready today, then tonight, we’ll present you to our father and the pack as our fated mate." Angelo continued and his voice managed to pull me out of my thoughts.
My heart was racing hard as I nodded numbly.
"What about your betrothed?" I asked as I glanced between the three of them.
Landon waved me off as he walked closer to me. "They won’t matter anymore once you’re introduced." He explained and I nodded.
"Of course, none of this is gonna be real." Damon suddenly pointed out, and everyone glanced over at him.
"It’s just gonna be for show." He added, glancing at his brothers as he spoke. They all slowly nodded this time.
"Of course." Angelo added with a nod and Landon followed suit.
"So, um... what’s gonna later become of me once this show ends?" I asked after a few minutes.
"Do you wanna be mated to us for real?" Damon asked and I instantly shook my head.
"What? Of course I don’t want that," I bit out and he rolled his eyes as he folded his hands.
"See? We don’t want you either." He informed me before continuing. "So we’ll find a way to reject you once the throne is no longer vulnerable and you’ve served your purpose and usefulness for us,"
I blinked in confusion. "Purpose? What does that mean?"
He shrugged. "Nothing,"
"I don’t like this situation that I’m being forced into. First, I was kidnapped against my will, now I have to get married against my will too. For my fated mates, you’re all cruel and heartless," I breathed out as I folded my arms.
"Heartless and cruel? We haven’t hurt you or laid a single finger on you, have me?"
"It’s not till you physically hurt me," I pointed out while Damon rolled his eyes in clear irritation.
"Enough whining. It’s already settled, you’ll become our bride, but hold no delusions, it’s only because we have no choice." Damon informed me without missing a beat.
Something within me cracked at those words even though I was already aware before.
"Of course. I can’t delude myself because I don’t wanna be in this situation either." I informed him and he nodded firmly.
"Good. At least you’re a little bit smart." He noted and I scoffed. I was definitely way smarter than him, but I refrained from pointing that out right now.
"The wedding will take place in a week, so look forward to it." Landon’s voice filled the silence this time and I glanced over at him before stiffly nodding.
"There’s nothing to look forward to in a situation that I’m being forced into." I breathed out as they all began to head for the door of my bedroom.
"You might really end up loving being married to us. You might even fall in love with us while at it. After all, we’re the heart robes of the pack." Angelo called out from across his shoulders while I scoffed hard.
"Over my dead body would I ever do such a thing!" I hurled out at them while they all snickered.
"Well, for your own good, I’d advise you not to fall in love with us. Besides, we have someone else we’re in love with anyway. Too bad she’s been away for years." Landon chirped in, then the door was being slammed closed before I could ask a question.
