Jie Fu Lian frowned as he heard this and curiously looked at the book. Although it was faint, he could sense that the book was infused with demonic Qi.

"I’m sure this isn’t a joke," Jie Fu Lian commented as he took the book from Hua Tianshu’s hands, "Let’s just take it with us for now."

Hua Tianshu nodded his head as he agreed.

Hua Tianshu once again gave a nod, "Let’s go back."

The demon looked at the two of them and asked, "Are you already going back? What about this corpse then?"

Hua Tianshu and Jie Fu Lian looked at the burnt corpse in unison before shrugging their shoulders.

Jie Fu Lian, "Let it sit there."

Hua Tianshu, "We have no use for it."

The demon looked at the corpse with a frown and shivered as he felt a little terrified by the expression on its face.

Hua Tianshu took out two transportation talismans and immediately got ready to leave the place but was suddenly stopped by the demon who spoke up, "If you are going after the master of curses, make sure to never look into his eyes."

"Hmm?" Jie Fu Lian turned to look at the demon in confusion.

Jie Fu Lian couldn’t help but want to laugh as he saw this reaction. He winked at the demon and held Hua Tianshu’s hand as he spoke, "I’ll be going now. Ah, and you were wrong."

The demon tilted his head with a frown as he heared this but was still too shocked to respond in time.

"Heaven’s eye might be strong but he’s still too young to be a threat to me," Jie Fu Lian confidently spoke, "Even if he goes against me, I can crush him like an ant. I, the supreme demon venerable Shen Fang, am not someone to be underestimated."

Hua Tianshu shook his head as he muttered with a soft smile, "A show-off with no backing bone."

The demon didn’t hear Hua Tianshu’s words but Jie Fu Lian sure did and in turn, he glared at Hua Tianshu.

The two soon left the demon realm together and headed back to the HuiXue sect.

On the way, Hua Tianshu informed Jie Fu Lian about Duan Luoyang by saying, "I made him go to Henglong in search of the art of controlling spirits."

"Are we still going after Heaven’s eye?"

Hua Tianshu let out a small sigh as he heard this question and replied, "We can’t give up. He might not have been the one who killed you but that doesn’t mean he is a good man. He threatened one of HuiXue sect’s disciples to turn into his spy. He is acting too suspiciously. I don’t think it would be a good idea to stop going after him."

"A spy?" Jie Fu Lian raised an eyebrow as he repeated.

"A man named Wang Zexian. He specializes in making spiritual pills but he doesn’t have a spiritual core."

"He uses spirits."

Jie Fu Lian frowned as he heard this and he couldn’t help but think back to Yao Fei and how the woman had escaped from the demonic beast’s jail by using stones that had developed spirits.

"Yao Fei wasn’t lying," Hua Tianshu continued as he spoke, "With great care, a spirit can be created and only the one that creates them can control them. The spirits aren’t too special or powerful but I can’t be too sure about that. Wang Zexian met Heaven’s eye and he told me that Heaven’s eye has also used a variation of the same method to create the spirit that he uses."

"A variation?"

Hua Tianshu nodded as he spoke, "The demonic cultivation technique of creating spirits by feeding it demonic Qi, wrath, hatred and other such negative emotions."

"But didn’t Heaven’s eye practice the dark art of summoning spirits?" Jie Fu Lian asked with a small frown, feeling a little confused.

Jie Fu Lian’s frown only deepened as he heard this and he hesitantly asked, "Then that benefactor also knows...?"
