The Demon King is an Idiot [BL]-Chapter 119: I really kissed... Hua Tianshu...?!
Jie Fu Lian couldn’t help but feel a little self-conscious as he entered Hua Tianshu’s house.
Out of all the houses located inside the HuiXue sect, Hua Tianshu’s house was perhaps the only isolated one that stood on top of a mountain and had absolutely no helpers or attendants around.
The fact that there was no one who dared to come up here was quite evident since there was already weed growing out in front of the house and dust collecting on every surface.
Since Hua Tianshu had been away for a few days, it seemed that there was no one left to clean up around here.
"Do you want to take a bath?" Hua Tianshu enthusiastically asked as he looked at Jie Fu Lian.
Jie Fu Lian awkwardly smiled and slightly shook his head as he replied, "I’m okay. I already took a bath."
Hua Tianshu froze up and suddenly realized that it was too flustering and awkward with just the two of them present inside the house. He had invited Jie Fu Lian over to his house on an impulse but now, he had no idea what he was supposed to do. His heart felt like it was about to jump out of his chest and he couldn’t even look at Jie Fu Lian without his mind imagining all sorts of scenarios that he could not even dare to mention. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
As if wanting to escape the flustering situation, Hua Tianshu scratched the back of his neck as he spoke, "Then I’ll go and take a bath! You can look around if you want."
Jie Fu Lian nodded his head with a smile as he heard this, "Okay."
Hua Tianshu immediately ran away to prepare for his bath and without shying away, Jie Fu Lian decided to take his words seriously and looked around the house, feeling fascinated by every single thing he saw.
Jie Fu Lian had always thought that Hua Tianshu’s house would reflect the man’s personality. Back when he hardly knew Hua Tianshu and looked up to him, he thought the house would be clean and organized. When he met Hua Tianshu and hated him, he thought that the man’s house would still be organized and clean since he was just that sort of a person. Even now, when he got to spend time with the man and got a better understanding of his character, he still imagined the man’s house to be organized and clean.
However, the reality gave him a bit of a shock.
Hua Tianshu’s house was far from clean and organized. It was messy to the point where it looked like even the owner had given up on cleaning it. There were all sorts of things lying around carelessly on the floor, ranging from scrolls to books and paintings. Even the futon was still left out, completely wrinkled and sitting curled up in a corner as if it had been shoved over there.
On one side, there was a table sitting with three good legs and one broken leg that had been replaced with a pile of books. On the table, were several tea cups, out of which, tea had already been drunk and the residue had left a stain on the cup that was yet to be taken away.
The table was also filled with different kinds of books and scrolls that were left open for one to read.
Even Jie Fu Lian, who hated cleaning up, looked at this mess and felt the need to clean up.
For the first time in his life, he sighed as he volunteered to clean up another person’s house.
First, he picked up the cluttered mess of books, scrolls, painting, and all from the floor to make some room for him to be able to move. Then, he started organizing them one by one. He took out the several stained cups and washed them before placing them together in a neat and tidy manner.
He lifted the table and fixed its fourth leg by removing the books and substituting them with a piece of wood.
The more he cleaned up, the more shocked he felt as he wondered how Hua Tianshu had lived here.
Was it even possible for a person to live in such a place and not go insane...?!
While cleaning up, Jie Fu Lian accidentally knocked over a rolled-up piece of paper. He picked it up to put it back but suddenly noticed an inked painting peeking out of the paper that had been slightly unrolled.
Jie Fu Lian immediately guessed that it was a painting of a person and the painting was probably made by Hua Tianshu. He felt extremely curious as to whom Hua Tianshu had painted and unrolled the piece of paper.
As soon as he saw the painting, his eyes widened in shock.
On the piece of white paper, beautifully painted with a thin brush and black ink was a picture of Jie Fu Lian when he was just fourteen years old. In the painting, standing on top of a stage, Jie Fu Lian had a small proud smile decorating his face as he held up a wooden sword.
Jie Fu Lian immediately recognized that the painting was inspired by that day when he had first visited the HuiXue sect and joined their sword competition.
Jie Fu Lian looked up at the other rolled-up pieces of paper that were kept at the same place where this one had fallen off from. In the entire house, these papers were perhaps the only things that were actually kept with great care and seemed somewhat organized.
With a complicated heart and an even more complicated expression plastered on his face, Jie Fu Lian gulped as he picked up the other rolled-up pieces of paper kept neatly on the shelf and opened them one by one.
In every single paper, he saw his own face beautifully painted from all angles, doing all sorts of activities and with all kinds of facial expressions.
Jie Fu Lian gulped and his heart started racing a little as he asked himself, ’Why did he paint me...?’
Was it just boredom...? Would someone actually paint their enemies so beautiful when they felt bored...?
None of the paintings looked recent. In fact, with just a glance, Jie Fu Lian could tell that the painter of these artworks had improved and refined their technique over the years, and hence, the oldest painting could easily be told apart from the newest painting.
For a minute there, Jie Fu Lian’s heart grew a little hopeful.
He wondered if his feelings were really one-sided.
In his mind, he hesitantly questioned whether he was the only one who had been looking at Hua Tianshu all this time or was Hua Tianshu also looking back at him...?
Just the mere thought made Jie Fu Lian overwhelmed with emotions.
With excitement evident on his face, he opened even more of those papers and looked at every single painting.
One such painting made him blush profusely and only after a minute did he realize that there was something wrong with the painting.
This was the only painting where both Jie Fu Lian and Hua Tianshu were present, but unlike other paintings, this painting was not based on an incident that had happened in real life.
The picture depicted in the painting was of the two passionately kissing each other in the middle of an unknown road. Jie Fu Lian was lying on the ground, leaning into Hua Tianshu who was kneeling beside him and holding onto him tightly.
As long as Jie Fu Lian remembered, such a situation had never happened. In fact, the only time he had ever kissed a person was when he was trapped inside the demon king’s illusion and kissed Bai YiJun by mistake. That day, he looked at Bai YiJun’s face, and for a second, he thought he was looking at Hua Tianshu and since he was already going a little crazy that day, he kissed Bai YiJun, mistaking him for Hua Tianshu.
It was an embarrassing memory that he wanted to bury since he was sorry for both Bai YiJun and Hua Tianshu.
As soon as Jie Fu Lian recalled that incident, he wanted to dig up a hole and bury himself.
Afterward, Bai YiJun even pretended as if nothing happened. It was truly embarrassing!
"Eh?" Jie Fu Lian softly muttered as he realized an odd detail that didn’t seem to fit.
That day... How was Bai YiJun inside the illusion dream...?
As long as he remembered, the gate to the illusion dream had been closed and there was no way someone entered afterward so it was impossible for Bai YiJun to have been able to come there.
It also made no sense that Bai YiJun was there, considering the fact that the man was a cripple who was also pretending to be a lunatic in front of others.
As soon as Jie Fu Lian started asking all these questions that he should’ve asked sooner, he came to realize the truth and his whole face turned red as he correctly guessed, "I really kissed Hua Tianshu...?!"
