The mannerless self-obsessed hypocrite bastard Hua pursed his lips into a thin line as he commented, "Jie Ming, it looks like you’re very drunk."

"Shut up!" Jie Fu Lian slammed his hands on the table and stood up with a jerk as he angrily shouted, "I hate you the most!"

Hua Tianshu knew Jie Fu Lian was drunk and spouting nonsense, but for some reason, he still felt a little depressed when he heard these words. If this man was going to tell him he hated him even in such a drunk state then it must really be true.

Now that he thought back to it, he felt as if it was cowardly of him to hide away. Instead of hiding, perhaps he should’ve tried to improve their relationship. If he had tried, maybe Jie Fu Lian wouldn’t have died like that...

He really thought he had lost Jie Fu Lian forever and it was the first time, Hua Tianshu found himself feeling utterly lonely. The day Jie Fu Lian died, Hua Tianshu felt as if his own soul had also died along with him. He felt empty and lonely.

No matter what he did, he would be reminded of him. No matter where he went, he would be reminded of him. No matter what he ate, he would be reminded of him. With every breath he took, he was reminded of Jie Fu Lian.

In the beginning, he kept a little hope and thought Jie Fu Lian might have survived but it didn’t take long for that hope to also be shattered.

He was given hope once again. He was given a second chance. He was given something that had been stolen from him.

His soul, his happiness, his desire, his drive, and his purpose... It all came back to him in the form of the demon king whom he hardly knew.

Jie Fu Lian came back and Hua Tianshu felt as if he had finally been pulled out of the water that was slowly drowning him. He could breathe again. He could smile again and he could live again.

Perhaps the heavens had blessed him or perhaps the heavens had pitied him. It didn’t matter which one it was. What mattered was Jie Fu Lian... Only him...

He now had another chance of fixing his own mistakes. He had another chance at making his own choices and this time, he decided not to hide away.

Even if his heart was beating crazily inside his chest and his mind couldn’t form words for him to speak, he was still going to stand beside Jie Fu Lian and he was still going to say everything he wanted to say. If he couldn’t say it then he would show it and if he couldn’t show it, he would make him feel it.

This time, he was going to follow his heart.

"Jie Ming, you haven’t answered my question."

"Huh?" Jie Fu Lian looked to be a little clueless as he innocently tilted his head and looked at the other with a blank expression.

"If I’m the Dog then who is my master?"

Jie Fu Lian sneered, "How would I know that?"

Hua Tianshu stood up with a sigh and grabbed Jie Fu Lian’s hand as he asked, "Then, can I choose my master?"

Jie Fu Lian, who was still drunk out of his mind, had no idea what was going on nor did he know what Hua Tianshu was saying. He simply went with the flow and said the first thing that came to his mind.

"You can."

Hua Tianshu smiled, "Then Jie Ming, can you be my master?"

Jie Fu Lian chuckled as he heard this and looked at Hua Tianshu with a wide grin as he pointed at himself and asked, "Me? You want me? As your master? Me?"

Hua Tianshu nodded his head without any hesitation.

"Then you need to be a Dog first."

Hua Tianshu’s eyes slightly widened as he heard this reply and he decided to act a little clueless as he teased Jie Fu Lian and asked, "How should I become a Dog?"

Suddenly, Jie Fu Lian grabbed Hua Tianshu’s face and slowly licked his cheek as he whispered, "Firstly and most importantly, a Dog must love his master."

Hua Tianshu was the one who had first started this and teased the man, but he had certainly not expected the man to react like this.

In his mind, he thought, ’Jie Ming, you say you hate me, but then you go and tell me to love you. Just what goes on in your head?’ 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Hua Tianshu opened his mouth to say something but before he could utter a single word, Jie Fu Lian passed out like a lamp that had run out of oil.

In the end, Jie Fu Lian provoked him and passed out first. Hua Tianshu could do nothing but sigh and calm his heart down as he picked up the man and laid him down on the bed.

As he lay beside Jie Fu Lian, he brushed back a strand of hair from Jie Fu Lian’s face and thought to himself, ’Would he be embarrassed tomorrow?’

However, his worries were proven to be a waste as Jie Fu Lian shamelessly forgot about everything that happened.

The next morning, when Jie Fu Lian opened his eyes, he came face to face with a sleeping Hua Tianshu and the shock was enough for him to kick the other off the bed.

Hua Tianshu’s back hit the floor and he immediately snapped awake as well, groaning a little as he rubbed his back.

"H-Hua Tianshu!" Jie Fu Lian pulled the blanket over his body and pointed at Hua Tianshu accusingly as he automatically assumed the worst, "How can you get drunk and take advantage of me?!"

"..."

The pot was calling the kettle black.

"Hua Tianshu, you’re really the worst! Piece of trash! Bastard! Pervert! Asshole!"

"Wait," Hua Tianshu sighed as he pushed himself off the ground, "You are fully clothed and we only slept beside each other. Jie Ming, what are you thinking?"

"..." Jie Fu Lian gulped as he looked down at himself and then continued to scan the room.

After a minute of trying to figure out the situation, he finally understood that he had falsely accused an innocent man.

However, Jie Fu Lian wasn’t the type to apologize so he simply pouted as he exclaimed. "Still! You were hugging me. Of course, I’ll misunderstand. In any case, didn’t Dua Luoyang say you wouldn’t sleep at night? I thought you were going to sit and meditate."

"I had a lot to drink and I was tired."

Jie Fu Lian coughed and said nothing more.

"But Jie Ming... Do you not remember anything?" Hua Tianshu raised his eyebrows, feeling a little suspicious as he asked.

"Huh? Of course, I remember."

Hua Tianshu frowned as he heard such a confident response. From the look on Jie Fu Lian’s face, it didn’t seem like he remembered...

In the end, Hua Tianshu decided to stay quiet about the matter and simply sighed as he asked, "What do you want?"

"I won’t be a Dog but if you want to sneak me in as a pet, let me be a wolf pup."

Hua Tianshu had certainly expected Jie Fu Lian to use the wish a bit more wisely but it seemed that Jie Fu Lian’s mind worked in the simplest of ways.

"Alright," Hua Tianshu gave a nod as he agreed and Jie Fu Lian grinned as he felt that he had suddenly won something great.

In his mind, Hua Tianshu thought, ’Be it a Dog or a Wolf, both have a fluffy tail, four paws, and standing ears. Doesn’t it look all the same...?’
