After eight days of traveling, the three reached the Jin Sect.

Since Hua Tianshu had already announced his visit, the Jin Sect was prepared to receive a guest.

As agreed, Jie Fu Lian turned himself into a little wolf cub, and unexpectedly enough, he enjoyed it a lot more than he thought he would.

It was like a whole new world had opened up to him. Who knew being a wolf would be this much fun? He could run faster, jump higher and no matter what he did, people would think he was cute and would play with him. If somebody asked him to stay as a wolf cub forever, he would probably agree to do it with no questions asked.

Upon their arrival, the first one to come out and meet them was Jin Long.

Jie Fu Lian would certainly be lying if he claimed to not be surprised upon seeing the man after such a long time.

Back when they had met for the first time, Jin Long had been a dumb boy who wasted both potential and resources. However, Jie Fu Lian never disliked the boy. On the contrary, he felt quite affectionate towards the boy because of his pure heart and unrestrained actions.

The current Jin Long certainly resembled Jin Gengxin a lot more.

Seeing the change in Jin Long really reminded Jie Fu Lian once again of the time that had passed.

Jin Long’s smile faltered for a second as his eyes trailed toward the wolf cub, "Ah! This must be Hua Gongzi’s new spiritual beast. I’ve heard about it. I didn’t expect it to be so young."

Jie Fu Lian obediently sat in Hua Tianshu’s arms and his sharp eyes stared at Jin Long with great interest.

With one hand holding the wolf cub, Hua Tianshu gently stroked the wolf cub’s head with his other hand.

Duan Luoyang, who knew the true identity of the seemingly innocent wolf cub, couldn’t help but choke on empty air as he saw his master’s action.

Shizun... Was certainly not one to waste opportunities...!

"You can call him Ai Ming. He might look pretty cute but don’t be deceived by his looks. He’s quite a dangerous one," Hua Tianshu spoke with a proud smirk as he introduced the wolf cub.

Jin Long awkwardly chuckled as he heard this and glanced at the wolf cub as he muttered, "Well he certainly doesn’t look harmless with the way he’s glaring at me."

"..." Jie Fu Lian felt a little wronged as he heard this. He was only looking at Jin Long because it had been such a long time since he had met the man. Jin Long had changed so much and it was only natural that Jie Fu Lian would look at him with great interest. He had only looked out of curiosity and interest, how can that be mistaken as glaring?!

"Ai Ming has a hard time trusting people. He’s only close to me so please do not be offended by his actions," Hua Tianshu softly chuckled as he spoke up, defending the wolf cub.

The wolf cub suddenly licked Hua Tianshu’s hands, as if proving his words to be true.

"That seems to be the case," Jin Long nodded his head as he replied.

Hua Tianshu’s hand, which had been licked, paused in mid-air and his ears turned bright red.

Duan Luoyang, who noticed the sudden change in his master’s expression couldn’t help but look at the wolf cub with a bit of admiration.

In this whole world, perhaps Uncle Fu was the only one who would dare do something like that to Master Hua Tianshu, and he was also the only one who would be allowed to do it.

Somehow, it was admirable.

"Let’s head on inside," Jin Long suggested politely, "We’ve been waiting for you for the last two hours. My wife personally prepared today’s banquet for you."

Hua Tianshu didn’t look to be that shocked as he heard this but Jie Fu Lian certainly felt a little stunned as he heard the word ’wife’. It seemed that not only had Jin Long’s personality and demeanor changed, he had even gotten married.

Suddenly, Jie Fu Lian felt even more curious. Was it a marriage out of love or was it arranged? Who was the woman? Was it someone who had a calm temper like him or was it someone who liked to be pampered and spoiled? How long has it been since they had been married? Do they have any children?

Jin Long glanced at the wolf cub and got terrified once again. Somehow, it felt as if he had offended the wolf cub and now, the little animal was glaring at him even more intensely.

"Let’s go," Hua Tianshu nodded his head as he agreed and followed after Jin Long.

The wolf cub suddenly sent him a voice transmission and asked, ’Could it be that Jin Long was also killed and now a demon is pretending to be him?’

’Why do you say that?’ Hua Tianshu asked back.

’The current Jin Long seems way too different from the one I remember. He even got married. It reminds me of Bai Guanyu’s case.’

’You can rest assured, he’s not a demon. After all, if he was, wouldn’t you have already sensed it?’

As expected, the banquet prepared for them was as lavish as it could be. They were the only guests present and they were treated very kindly and politely. The food was also delicious but sadly, it was bad for wolf cubs to have human food, and hence, the food prepared for Jie Fu Lian was a bowl of boiled spiritual lamb and milk.
