"Shizun, where are we going?" Duan Luoyang quickly asked as he grabbed a hold of Hua Tianshu’s arm.

"The nearest town," Hua Tianshu shortly answered.

With a small frown, Duan Luoyang curiously asked, "Do you know where that is?"

In the first place itself, it was hard to find the Yu Sect. If Jin Shifeng hadn’t given them the special transportation talisman, perhaps they would have never reached here this soon.

"If we keep walking, we’ll eventually end up finding a town," Jie Fu Lian yawned as he spoke, his eyes glued to the book that he was leisurely reading as he walked.

Duan Luoyang looked at Jie Fu Lian before quickly diverting his eyes to Hua Tianshu.

With a gulp, he leaned closer to Hua Tianshu’s ear and whispered, "There is something weird about uncle Fu."

Hua Tianshu threw Jie Fu Lian a single glance before he looked away and asked, "What’s weird?"

It had been a little over an hour since they had parted their ways with the Yu Sect’s inner-core disciples but Duan Luoyang was yet to see Jie Fu Lian and Hua Tianshu properly communicate.

Normally, they would be talking so much that Duan Luoyang would feel like an unwanted child stuck between a loving couple.

To see the two suddenly avoid each other... It was truly a bit worrisome.

"I’m holding onto your arm but he hasn’t said anything about it," Duan Luoyang whispered back with a small frown as he pointed out, "Normally, he would say mean things and push me away. He’s quite the possessive type. Why is he suddenly acting like he doesn’t care?"

"..." Hua Tianshu dare not give a reply to that.

With a gasp, Duan Luoyang looked at Hua Tianshu in shock as he blurted out, "Did he get bored of you already?!"

Hua Tianshu’a eyes unhappily narrowed down on the man.

"If not, did you say something super mean to him? Did you two get into a fight when I wasn’t around? Does he not like you anymore? Did you force him or something?" Duan Luoyang immediately bombarded him with questions and although he tried to whisper, his excitement got the best of him and Jie Fu Lian could hear everything clearly.

Hua Tianshu sighed as he scolded, "Stop talking nonsense."

Duan Luoyang threw Hua Tianshu a worried glance before he turned to face Jie Fu Lian and loudly asked, "Uncle Fu, Did Shizun upset you?"

"Stop talking nonsense," Without even lifting his eyes off of the book, Jie Fu Lian sighed as he gave the same response as Hua Tianshu.

"..." Duan Luoyang frowned as he looked between the two and wondered what he should do next.

On one hand, he wanted to help his Master out with his love life, but on the other hand, he was sure that Hua Tianshu was the one at fault so he dare not interfere.

"This is exhausting," Duan Luoyang complained, "Why do we need to walk so much? Can’t we just use a transportation talisman?"

Duan Luoyang didn’t want to be stuck between these two people. If they used a transportation talisman, they could quickly get to the nearest town and Duan Luoyang could escape from this awkward situation.

Hua Tianshu simply shook his head as he refused to use a transportation talisman.

Duan Luoyang frowned as he complained, "Throughout this whole journey, we have only used a single transportation talisman and we only used it because it was necessary. Shizun, why do you keep making us walk so much? It’s not like we are from a poor sect that can’t even afford a transportation talisman."

Hua Tianshu coughed as he heard this and quickly came up with an excuse, "Walking is a better way to train your body. You shouldn’t be too dependent on transportation talismans."

"..." Duan Luoyang looked at the man as if he had been wronged. Ever since he had been picked up by Hua Tianshu, he had been training his body under extreme conditions. "Disappeared?" Duan Luoyang’s eyebrows creased together in worry and he immediately asked, "What do you mean? Was the mask not supposed to protect you? How could it just disappear?"

Hua Tianshu thought about it for a minute and let out a short breath as he spoke, "To say that it disappeared wouldn’t be exactly wrong. At one moment, it was there and in the next, it was gone."

Duan Luoyang looked to be even more confused as he heard this explanation.

Even though Hua Tianshu didn’t know how exactly he lost the mask, he could still make an accurate guess.

The mask was stolen by Yao Fei who disappeared along with the mask.

Since Hua Tianshu didn’t want to talk about the fact that Yao Fei disappeared, he simply decided not to mention the fact that the mask was stolen.

"No matter how much I think, I can’t believe that the mask is truly normal," Duan Luoyang sighed as he commented, "That Elder looked like a tricky person. Why would she keep so many useless masks with her?"

Hua Tianshu nodded his head as he heard this, "I also agree."

If the mask was completely normal and had no special attributes, why would Yao Fei go through the trouble of stealing it?

There had to have been something that they hadn’t noticed.

"But Uncle Fu already checked it," Duan Luoyang added with a sigh.

"He could’ve missed to notice something."

"No way. He’s dependable," Duan Luoyang thoughtlessly blurted out.

Hua Tianshu looked at Duan Luoyang as if he was questioning something and Duan Luoyang blinked as he defended, "I trust Uncle Fu and his judgment."

Hua Tianshu pointed at himself as if asking: What about me?"

Duan Luoyang awkwardly laughed as he half-jokingly spoke, "Shizun, how can I compare the two of you? At first, I thought Shizun was the strongest cultivator alive but lately, we’ve been meeting many cultivators much stronger than shizun and none of them seemed to be able to sense Uncle Fu’s cultivation. Uncle Fu doesn’t look like the type to use such a precious artifact to hide his cultivation so he probably has higher cultivation than them. Doesn’t that make him much stronger than you as well?"

Hua Tianshu and Jie Fu Lian once again confirmed in their minds that this man was quite sharp.

Jie Fu Lian pointed at the book that he was reading and spoke, "Madam Jin Shifeng! She truly is interesting!"

Hua Tianshu frowned as he heard this and Duan Luoyang titled his head in confusion as he asked, "Uncle Fu, you’re interested in women as well?"

Jie Fu Lian glared at the man as he heard this and retorted, "If I’m not interested in woman, who would I be interested in? Your stupid Shizun?"

"..." Both Duan Luoyang and Hua Tianshu felt speechless.

Jie Fu Lian was reading the book titled ’A fool’s guide to pursue Jin Shifeng’

He had proudly stolen it from the Jin Sect’s record room and at first, Duan Luoyang thought he had stolen it for fun but now that the man was actually reading the book, both Duan Luoyang and Hua Tianshu felt a little shocked.
