The Extra's Advent: My Villainess Fiancée is a Yandere-Chapter 51: Dinner
Inside one of the rented apartments.
The faint glow of moonlight slipped through the window, casting soft silver shadows across the room and reflecting gently off the polished floor.
Cael sat in a chair, watching the moon climb the sky.
As he gazed at the moon, moonlight elemental mana rotated in his hand.
It started slowly, but as the seconds passed, the moonlight rotated faster and faster.
A subtle shimmer formed around his hand as the energy intensified, creating faint ripples in the air like distorted reflections on water.
Cael was amused.
He leaned back slightly, watching the mana spin with quiet interest, as if observing a small experiment unfolding in his palm.
’In terms of speed, moonlight is faster than wind.’
’But my mastery over moonlight is so pathetic that my wind speed is greater... for now.’
Moonlight was Cael’s first unique element, and he didn’t create it; it was his from the start.
So, Cael didn’t want Moonlight Mastery to fall behind his other elements.
After he returned to the Academy, Cael would undergo training under Seraphina V. Hale.
And honestly, Cael didn’t want to train under Seraphina.
After all, he was a lazy guy, and he hated body-related training.
This was also one of the reasons Cael chose to come to District Neva instead of returning to the academy with the others.
So, he wanted to search for skills here.
Cael opened his status and checked his new skills.
Most of them were simple abilities, minor enhancements, basic utilities, and niche skills that wouldn’t stand out in real combat.
There were more than 150 skills, but all of them were below B-Rank, except one A-Rank skill.
....
Mark Tracker
Rank: A
Type: Utility
Description:
The user can mark any object or being, and sense and track the marked target. Mana consumption depends on the distance.
...
As Cael checked his skills, the doorbell rang.
—DING DONG
Cael paused, thinking Elowyn might have arrived.
He walked toward the door while stretching his body.
Cael opened the door as Elowyn slowly walked in.
Her black hair was tied in a ponytail, and her blue eyes scanned the room.
A smirk formed on her face. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Although she was caught off guard by Cael’s actions in the morning...
She wasn’t going to fall for his tricks again.
That said, Elowyn also wanted to tease Cael.
Cael was confused by her strange smile, but he didn’t think much of it as he welcomed her inside.
"So, what do you want to eat?"
Elowyn asked as she wore an apron.
Cael shrugged.
"Whatever those ingredients can make."
He paused, then softly added,
"It doesn’t matter, as long as you’re the one cooking."
Elowyn nodded. She was already mentally prepared for Cael’s sweet talk.
Under Cael’s watchful gaze, Elowyn started cooking.
The soft clinking of utensils and the gentle sizzle from the pan slowly filled the quiet room, bringing a surprisingly homely atmosphere.
Cael remained silent and didn’t disturb her.
And so, silence filled the room for the next hour.
Finally, the dishes were ready.
Cael helped carry them to the table.
Elowyn sat opposite him and looked at him with sharp eyes as he took the first bite.
"How is it?"
Elowyn asked, closely observing his expression.
Cael smiled.
"I think you put too much salt."
Elowyn’s eyes widened as confusion spread across her face.
She quickly took a bite.
But the taste was perfectly fine.
"Pfft... haha."
Hearing Cael laugh, Elowyn instantly realized she had been tricked.
Then Cael said softly,
"You know, it’s kind of awkward if you stare at me while I eat... so join me."
...
[SS-Rank Skill: Copy Activated]
[Do you wish to copy C-Rank Skill: Calm Mind?]
[Yes] [No]
...
Elowyn calmly looked at Cael.
"Okay."
Cael silently copied the skill as they ate together.
But he had to admit, the food was amazing.
He felt like he could eat ten more dishes if they were available.
—TRING
A notification rang on his watch.
Cael checked it curiously.
...
1 billion UTM has been transferred to your account successfully.
...
Cael was startled.
"What in the-"
His expression stiffened slightly as he reread the notification, making sure he hadn’t misunderstood the name displayed on the screen.
He immediately checked the sender.
Even though he already had a guess.
And sure enough, it was his father.
’What the hell was he thinking?’
’Wasn’t he only sending a million UTM every week? What’s with the sudden billion?’
Another message appeared.
...
I HATE YOU.
...
Even though the sender was unknown, Cael already knew who it was.
His father.
Those three words were very familiar to him.
He had practically grown up hearing them.
Looking at Cael, Elowyn asked,
"Did something happen?"
Cael shook his head.
"No, it’s nothing. Anyway... I need your help with something, Elowyn."
Elowyn put down her spoon and asked,
"Is it something to do with the spare dress?"
Cael paused, then nodded.
"I guess."
Even though Elowyn tried to calm her mind using the skill, it only made her overthink more.
Her ears faintly turned red as she asked,
"Th-then... what do you need?"
Countless thoughts ran through her mind as she looked at Cael, who took a deep breath, hesitating.
The silence between them stretched for a moment, making Elowyn’s anticipation grow heavier with every passing second.
That only made her more nervous... and more expectant.
Meanwhile, Cael was wondering how to phrase his request.
After all, he couldn’t just say,
"Hey Elowyn, I want to copy mana circulation, so could you show it to me?"
But for some reason, Cael felt she would agree even without a proper explanation.
He sighed.
In the end, he was overthinking.
"I want to know about mana circulation and enhancement."
"Could you show it to me?"
As soon as Cael said those words, Elowyn lowered her head in shame.
Seeing Elowyn suddenly act strangely, Cael asked,
"Hm! What’s wrong?"
Elowyn’s fingers tightened slightly around the edge of the table, unable to meet his gaze as her thoughts spiraled further.
’What was I expecting...’
’Th-this is all his fault.’
