The Faceless Billionaire Celebrity Wife-Chapter 279: Decision.
It took Cyprian only a few days to realize that she was wrong, terribly wrong on all she had thought about Raymond. Even after she placed countless calls to him without the line going through, her brothers and Alicia had also done the same and gotten the same results. At the end, they had concluded the number simply didn’t exist.
"You have been played, Cyprian." Alicia didn’t bother to beat around the bush.
Currently, she was standing in Cyprian’s room while the latter was sitting on the bed. Her brothers were also present and while the older ones were fuming in annoyance and mumbling about how they were going to kill the one who made their younger sister like that, the younger one, Callum, was pacing around the room in impatience. He was the only one who kept dialling Raymond’s number and was persistent about it.
"He has to pick the call. Rian isn’t stupid to fall for a man who’s not trustworthy," he spoke up, momentarily convincing the others except Alicia, who was hell bent on insisting that Cyprian had been fooled.
"That’s true; Cyprian can’t be that foolish," Her oldest brother nodded. Turning to her, he erased the frown on his face and put on a gentle smile.
"How many years have you known him for, Cyprian? Do you know anything else about him? His house, his friends, his family? Anything at all will do," he asked.
"Two months..." Cyprian replied.
"That’s excluding when he left, right?" Callum asked.
Cyprian slowly shook her head in answer. She knew without anyone telling her that her brothers were dissapointed in her. The downcast expression on their faces was all it took for her to know.
A brief silence hung over the room for a while before one of Cyprian brothers decided to break it.
"So what do you plan to do now? Are you keeping the baby or not?" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
As if scared by the tension in the room, Cyprian broke down into sobs, torrents of tears falling down her face.
"I—i don’t know...I’m just so scared," she cried.
Even though her brothers had been dissapointed, it didn’t stop them from rushing over to her side when she mentioned being scared. If it was possible for all four of them to embrace her like Callum was doing presently, they wouldn’t hesitate in doing so.
"It’s alright. You will be alright, Cyprian. We won’t leave; we’re here with you."
They had to put their discussion on what she wanted to do, on hold for a while until she calmed down. But at the first sight of a small smile on Cyprian’s face, Alicia broached the topic again.
"Have you decided, Cy? You know we’re talking about pregnancy here. Any sort of delay can be disastrous," she said.
"Can I just take a break please? I... I’ll think about it and tell you my decision tomorrow. Can I do that?" she asked, her gaze moving from each one of her brothers to the other.
They nodded in unison, and it dawned on her that they would support her no matter the decision she made. Now, the only thing left for her to do was to decide.

"That’s it. I made my findings and discovered he’s actually been asking around about your friend, during the time you two were together. Can his intentions be more obvious than this? Shikera disappears and he does too?" Alicia asked. She was pacing the living room in front of Cyprian who had taken her seat on one of the chairs.
"Shikera didn’t disappear. I know where she is," Cyprian muttered, her tone showing her total disinterest in the matter. She found it hard to believe whatever bad things she was hearing about Raymond, and though she hated herself for that, a part of her was still happy that she could still dwell over the good memories they had together.
Alicia sighed in frustration.
"That’s not the point here, Cyprian. I’m just reminding you that time waits for no man. Okay, let’s take Raymond or whatever his name is, let’s take his absence out of the picture and think logically. Do you think you are ready to be a mother, Cyprian?" she questioned.
Cyprian was silent. She had no answer to a question like that.
Her silence prompted Alicia to proceed, "You are a student aspiring to be a reporter, right? You know how tough life gets for people in that line of profession and how it’s not going to be easy for single mother. I’m sorry if this hurts but Rian, look at your brothers. You think any of them can babysit a child? They are gentle, yes, but they are completely clueless just as you are. You don’t have a mother to put you—"
"Stop it, Alice!" Cyprian interrupted her all of a sudden. "If you’re trying to get me to abort this baby then I’m sorry but I’m keeping him or her. Even if Raymond doesn’t come back, I don’t care. I won’t be the first pregnant student and a small reminder, there are daycares in town now. It’s my choice whether to keep this baby or not—"
"Do you think pregnancy is that easy? Fact that it’s your choice to keep the baby doesn’t mean it will be any easier for you all through the months. You are well aware your brothers won’t be there for you all the time so...I know I’m probably going overboard right now but, I just want you to realize that pregnancy will come in the way of a lot of things you are supposed to be doing. It won’t be easy," Alicia stated.
"It won’t. I won’t be the first to go through her daily activities while being pregnant."
"Then prove it."
Cyprian raised her brows, "Why do I need to? And how?"
"By getting yourself ready to go to a party. At a party you won’t stress yourself, right? Just take it as you going to a normal night study as usual," Alicia replied.
"But—"
"This is just a test to see if you’ll be able to keep up. It’s understandable if you can’t go. Pregnancy makes you weak after all," Alicia shrugged, a smug expression on her face.
Her overconfident eyes irked Cyprian.
"No, that’s not why I hesitated," she smiled. "I’ll go get dressed for the party," she agreed.
