Chapter 296: Resigned.

"Forever," Cyprian whispered.

Her lips parted subconsciously, feeling Raymond’s member slip through her wet entrance to fill her insides.

"Rayyyy..." she moaned, tilting her head to capture his lips for another kiss.

"Say that again."

Holding her by her waist, he guided her hips up and thrusted into her. As the seconds went on, the moans in the car increased as the speed of Raymond thrusts did the same.

With a dreamly look in her eyes, Cyprian rode him as fast as she could until she climaxed, losing herself in excitement.

The two were completely oblivious to the outside world, revelling only in the fact that their bodies fit each other perfectly and were only made for the other person.

Shikera shook her head to clear her fuzzy eyesight but her efforts turned out futile, her frustration growing as the minutes passed by.

"Noah," she called, turning to look at him where he was sitting right behind her. From the serious expression on his face, she could tell he was busy with work, but she could not bear the curiosity any longer.

"Hmm? Need anything?"

"Tell me where Ethan is. When can I see him?" she asked.

Noah replied her without looking up, "I don’t know. I was only tasked to do accompany you back home and return."

"Don’t give me that shit, Noah. Will you guys always keep me in the dark about stuffs that concern you and expect me to tell you everything about me?" she questioned, her eyes narrowing in displeasure.

"This is between you and your husband, Kera. You asked me to hide your pregnancy from him, and I did. He asked me to hide his whereabouts from you, and I did that too. No partiality in sight," Noah stated. He looked up briefly from his phone to assess her face, and his eyes clouded on seeing how different she looked from when they left the penthouse. "Are you okay though? You look...weird."

"That’s none of your business," Shikera snapped.

"How is that none of my business? You are my sister—"

Shikera interjected, "And you are my brother! Noah, if you don’t want to tell me what you know then...just forget it."

Silence reigned in the cabin, with neither of the siblings willing to give in to the other’s whims.

"He went back home ahead of you. Visited The Jordans base," Noah finally broke it.

"What?!" Shikera yelled, feeling her eyes become clear all of a sudden. "I thought you will take care of the rest. Why did he go there?"

"Didn’t you only want to know where he is? Now you’re asking multiple questions all at once," Noah sneered, rolling his eyes.

"Just tell me, Noah..." Shikera pleaded. Threatening wouldn’t work on him this time, she could tell.

"Well, he had some business to take care of with them. Said something about repaying Jordan for being his father for ten years or so. He’s not gonna do anything to Elizabeth Jordan and her mother, but will hand them over to Jordan to do whatever he deems fit to them. Seriously Kera, if there’s anyone who should know something here, it’s you," Noah stated. If you could remember what happened, then you wouldn’t need me to answer all all these, he thought.

Shikera ignored his words about how she was supposed to know more than he did. All that concerned her at the moment was Ethan.

"You think those people won’t hurt him? Considering the fact that he wants to do them a favor," she asked.

Noah laughed out loud without restrain, his eyes crinkling in amusement even after he stopped.

"Do you know what you’re saying, Kera? Your husband is a special recruit of the special military forces so they won’t be able to stand up to him. He’d get out of there with his shirt at least," he laughed.

"I’m being serious here, Noah," Shikera complained.

"So am I," Noah deadpanned. "You should rejoice though since he already submitted the resignation letter from the SMF. You’ll have your husband all to yourself very soon."

Shikera’s eyes widened in surprise.

"He resigned? When is it going to be approved? You think it’ll be a good idea if I celebrate that with him? What if he resigned reluctantly; will he be displeased if I’m happy about it then?" she threw a barrage of questions at Noah who stared at her like he was staring at a robot machine.

"I won’t answer any more questions after this, Kera, so listen and listen well to my answers," he paused for a while as if to make sure she was listening to him, before continuing, "His resignation was approved by yours sincerely. I think you should celebrate him and finally, he resigned voluntarily. He’s been wanting to break free for a while now but the forces held him back. Now he’s free."

"So—"

"Shut up, Kera. And get some sleep," Noah cut her off before she could say anything. Throwing a glare at her, he watched until she turned away from him before averting his gaze from her.

"Get some sleep. We’ll arrive home soon."

Shikera turned away from him and closed her eyes, pretending to sleep when she could not. She had been feeling strange since the previous night after Ethan left but it had been bearable until she got onto the airplane and it ascended.

"Noah, put yourself in Ethan’s shoes. What would you do if I told you everything today, about me being pregnant and how the doctors predicted it to end?" she asked. Hearing a small sigh escape her brother’s lips, she pretended not to be bothered and waited silently for his reply.

"You know what, Kera?" Noah began, "Ethan loves you. I think that’s the only thing that needs to dwell in your mind so stop worrying. He loves—"

"He loves me, doesn’t he?" Noah heard her chuckled, "Who the hell loves someone who’s going to leave you sooner or later, Noah? Isn’t he—a...a fool that lo—loves pain?"

Finding something odd with how shaky her voice was, Noah stood up to check her face, his own expression falling when he saw the tears streaming down her cheeks.
