The Forbidden Heiress At The All Male Alpha Academy-Chapter 153: The Secret Cave
Theo moved in the direction of his voice. It was coming from the free face, and it sounded like he was climbing down.
She kept going till she got directly where he was coming from above. Her paws reached up achingly and she scratched them against the side.
"Hellcat?" He called again, this time softer than before.
Suddenly, the earth under her feet vibrated as Zeke landed right next to her. She walked over to him and lunged her herself unto his body, rubbing and purring, so glad and relieved to see him.
Zeke was silent for a while. He had never seen her in wolf form before and had no idea that she was a silver wolf.
"Hellcat?" He asked again to be sure, even though he was already sure she was the one.
She looked up at him with her tongue out, like a dog happy to see its owner. Then, she let her fur fall back and slowly changed back to her human self.
"Zeke!" She cried as she hugged him again.
He embraced her too, "Fucking scared the hell out of me. I couldn’t find you and I heard a few people murmuring that someone had fallen over,"
His heart was pounding fast again.
"I’m fine, Zeke," She said softly, "Thank you for coming down for me,"
"I thought I’d come and find you dead. I’m so glad you’re alive," He pulled back and stared into her eyes questioningly, "How did you manage to slip?"
"I didn’t slip, someone pushed me,"
There was a flicker in his eyes, but he quickly swallowed it down and forced a smile, "I’m just glad you’re alright for now. It’s cold down there. We should head back," he said as he took her hand.
She looked up at the cliff, "Are we climbing?"
"No," He tugged her gently, "Come with me, I know another way,"
She was just a step behind and frequently stared at the side of his face. His face covered a good portion of it, so she couldn’t make out his expression very well. But from the way his body temperature kept rising and falling in a heartbeat, she knew something dangerous was going on in his head, and he was just trying to control himself.
"Zeke?" She reached out and tucked the hair behind his ear, and just as she suspected, the orange in his eyes was glistening with fury once again.
He sucked in a sharp breath, "I’m fine,"
"You’re not," She forced him to look at her, "Don’t do anything rash, Zeke, okay?"
"Okay," He said stiffly and they kept walking. She knew he did not mean that.
Only when they arrived did Theo finally notice there was a cave down here by a small corner, but the entrance had been blocked by a rock. Zeke stepped forward and shoved it out of the way with one hand, revealing the entrance.
"How did you know about this place?" She asked as they walked in.
"I was an explorer in my first year," He replied, "and my resting spot was the archer’s range. One day I stumbled on something and found that it was a wooden door covered with moss and leaves. When I opened it, it led underground and brought me all the way down to this cave," Zeke turned around and pointed back at the entrance, "That path over there leads to a waterfall. You can’t hear it because of the wind, but in a few miles you’ll reach it. Once you get out of the water, you’re officially out of Gravemont’s territory and can easily escape. Easy,"
"Do the authorities know about this?"
"I highly doubt it,"
"Have you ever thought of escaping?"
"I sneak in and out of Gravemont using that path. Whenever the Crimson Den gets boring, I follow that road to the nearest town miles and miles away. There’s a club there and wolves usually drink there and every time I go there girls try to pick me up and..." Zeke paused when he felt a murderous glare from him.
"They what?" She eyed him.
"I hadn’t met you, then. You can’t get mad at me,"
She angrily yanked her hand away from his, "Yes, I can,"
And then, she walked forward. She was surprised when she found herself staring at a spiral staircase that led all the way up. It was quite convenient. And it was just like Sylas had explained to her, Gravemont was once the Pack house of Alpha Alcaeus.
That means the cave must have been some kind of... underground hideout or something else.
"Come on, don’t get mad at me," Zeke called out behind her as she marched up the stairs, "There were no girls at Gravemont and the strippers weren’t enough and...,"
He just kept making his situation worse.
She stomped up even faster. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
"Fine. I’m sorry, okay? That was the past, and you’re my future. Come on, Hellcat," He cried and came up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist.
"You get jealous so easily,"
"You seemed to have had a good time at that club, so how about you let go of me, and keep on enjoying your streak of sinful experiences!" She jammed an elbow in his ribs.
He groaned softly, but refused to let go, "Hellcat, the only experience I want to have is with you," His hand slipped between her legs, "And there’s a lot I want to show you...so much to teach you,"
He was wearing only pants, and she...was almost naked. Seraphina had used her fur as clothing again, but her dang wolf was starting to enjoy this so much that she was retracting them.
*Don’t!* Theo warned.
*Sorry, I can’t hear you over your breathless gasps*
"Have you ever been touched on a staircase?" Zeke whispered into her ear as he gripped her inner thigh.
Then, she remembered he was the one who had swiped their flag today, and that brought a fresh wave of anger to her, "Have you ever been jammed in the ribs twice in a row?"
She pushed her elbow backwards, adding more force than the last one. This time, Zeke gripped the side of the staircase to stop himself from falling back as pain seared through his chest.
Then, he chucked.
"You just broke two of my ribs,"
"Serves you right,"
In a few seconds, he was walking next to her again. They were silent for a while before he broke the silence.
"How does it feel like being Aeron?"
"He’s strong," She replied, "But his mind is far too twisted and he’s too greedy. I feel bad for Kael. Even though he was also evil, Aeron not only killed him but also stole Lyra from him. It’s a sad ending,"
"Yeah, and Poor Lyra served as his slave wife for the rest of her life,"
"That’s probably the moment when women became unimportant in this world. We are considered unworthy, and our job is to satisfy our husbands and give them lots of male children,"
Zeke looked at her carefully.
"And I’m going to change that train of thinking in everyone’s head when I become the first female Alpha this world has ever seen," She looked at him and grinned.
He didn’t say anything. She couldn’t tell whether he was moved or disappointed, but she didn’t care what he thought about this. She was going to make it possible.
They got to the top of the staircase, and Zeke pushed the top open and it fell over. Theo climbed up first, and Zeke followed. Just as he explained, they were back at the archer’s range.
They covered the top back and scattered leaves and moss over it before they left.
As they walked, Theo felt that unnerving sensation again of someone watching them. The depth of the gaze and feel had her stopping as she recognised that gaze.
It was the person in a black and Golden mask.
The one stalking from when she had first came to Gravemont. And now she knew, it wasn’t Sylas. It was someone different.
