He would have stopped at his original plan if all he could get were 2 million energy stones from the Rein Family. With that kind of money, he would only be able to buy a maximum of 2 kg of Living Metal.
With 2kg of Living Metal, he would have had to be content with his initial idea. But he somehow managed to get his hands on 10 million energy stones, so he became restless, and the craziness that had been lurking deep within his heart decided to peek out.
His dream plan will be difficult to forge, though. For one, he had to fuse the Knife Box Metac and the Angel Wings Metac into one in order to make the design work.
This way, it will be easy to forge, and the materials that make up his wings can also be fragmented into blades that can be used to attack anything that comes too close for combat.
This had to happen because even with a rank 3 body and many rank 3 materials, it was still difficult for him to create something this crazy and ambitious.
But he doesn’t regret his decision, though. This is because by incorporating 7 Branch Metacs into his Core Metac, he has reduced the amount of mental power needed to control and use all of them at the same time from 7 to 1.
The reduction of the mental power needed to use all those Metacs makes everything worth it for him. As for the increase in energy expenditure, that doesn’t concern him at all.
A month passed by while he was forging his Life Ability. So while he was busy, his profile was finally evaluated by the sect.
The sect gave him an evaluation of 100,000 energy stones. This means that the sect only believes that he can reach rank 3 in this lifetime.
A valuation of 100,000 means that he will be top-notch for a rank 3 cultivator, but Loki was not happy with this evaluation at all. He kept grumbling about it while he was working, saying all manner of things.
"How come? I am clearly talented."
"I advanced to rank 2 in less than a year of cultivation. I have a lot of money. I once fended off a cultivator with status, so I am very powerful. What more could they want?"
"What’s special about rank 4 anyway? Is there anything that can stop me from advancing to rank 4?"

After cursing the sect some more, he went ahead to split his value into shares. He split them into 100,000 energy stones valued at 1 energy stone each and tossed them aside.

Loki didn’t care, though. 100,000 energy stones are too small to matter to him at this stage. He was more concerned about the 1.1 million energy stones, rank 4 Crystal Worm Metac, whose delivery was delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.
When the Crystal Worm Metac finally arrived, he dropped everything he was doing to try it out immediately.
As he opened the box that it came in, he had a large smile on his face, and he said, "To think it would actually arrive. For a while there, I thought that I had been had."
After the box was opened, the Crystal Worm was revealed. He saw that it was a green worm curled around itself. Its body was see-through like glass, so it looked like a beautiful green sculpture.
He didn’t care for its beauty, though. What he cared about was its effect, so he quickly grabbed the glass, refined it with his blood, and used it.
Fenrir devoured the Crystal Worm as soon as it entered his body. Then the size of all four of his energy chambers began to increase.
The four energy chambers increased in size slowly from 77 to 80. When they stopped expanding, he felt a greater yearning for more of the Crystal Worm from Fenrir.
This made him pat his stomach and say, "I want more, too. But this is damn expensive. It is 1.1 million energy stones just for three points of talent. No wonder Muni sold off everything he owned for a 5-unit increase to his talent."
"At least, I should be grateful that it arrived. Something for 1.1 million is, after all, better than nothing for all that money."
Then he took out his token to shop for more things that can improve his talent. As he did so, he said, "Fortunately, I have some 12 million energy stones just lying around doing nothing."
He decided to get the rank 5 version of the Crystal Worm Metac. This version can upgrade talent from within the range of 80 to 90 units. That is the limit because humans can’t raise their energy potential beyond that level.
The rank 5 Crystal Worm costs 10 million energy stones each. Since each one can only increase talent by 6 units, he will have to buy two of them in order to reach the maximum of 90 units of energy potential.
