THE GOD EATER-Chapter 118: Sky Hand.
He saw the sky darken as a large, colossal hand reach down from the sky and grab towards him. Even before the hand reached him, the world had collapsed around him.
The building he was standing in had collapsed into dust, which was why he could see the sky and the hand reaching down from it. He also saw everything else and other humans in the city turning to dust. But strangely, no one was panicking.
No one acted differently despite their lives being in danger. They went along with whatever they were doing as they shattered into dust as if they couldn’t see the hand in the sky or perceive what the hand was doing.
Only Loki appeared to be able to see that arm, and only he was still intact despite everything around him crumbling into dust. Despite being unscathed, the terror of death and danger in his heart only intensified.
Without being told, he instinctively knew what the problem was. So he said to himself with regret, "It is coming for the Danger Sense Metac. It was somehow able to sense me when I fused with the Danger Sense Metac."
He was able to quickly come to the conclusion that there is a grave problem with the Danger Sense Metac. But he also understood that no matter how bad the problem with the Danger Sense Metac is, the problem would only become bigger if Fenrir is revealed.
All of these went through his mind as the hand reached down for him. At the end of his introspection, he decided to reverse time. It is the only thing that he can do to escape this situation since his body couldn’t move.
A terrible force had preceded the hand in the sky and had already grabbed hold of him. He could even feel his mind slowing down and stagnating. So only by reversing time could he escape.
With this thought, he activated the Rewind Metac. His consciousness detached from his trapped body and escaped with Fenrir into the river of time. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
The source of the hand in the sky noticed this and said in surprise, "What’s this? Two Divine Metacs already? I have underestimated you."
Their voice was as silent as a whisper, but it shattered the minds of everyone who heard it. Everyone in the city who was still alive died immediately because of that voice.
Loki didn’t see what happened next because he had been swept into the river of time and was going upstream. But even here in the river of time, he could still feel that he was in danger.
It was a sort of danger that would continue to linger around him as long as he possessed the Danger Sense Metac. It made his heart cold and full of regret.
He groaned inwardly and said to himself, "I shouldn’t have coveted that Danger Sense Metac. But what exactly is wrong? Slav had it all along, but no one tried to capture him. Is it that only he can use it? Or is it that no one must use the Danger Sense Metac as their Core Metac?"
"Or is the problem with me? Is it that no one can have more than one divine Metac? What is going on?"
He had so many questions running through his mind and didn’t stop wondering about this until the moment Fenrir descended from the river of time into the physical world in the past.
As soon as Fenrir from the future arrived and fused with the Fenrir from the past, what he feared happened. A large, colossal hand broke the sky and descended to grab him.
A terrible invisible force also descended from the sky and landed in his body, gripping it tightly. His thoughts began to slow down, but he still sensed that the whole world was being destroyed around him.
This caused him shout inwardly, saying, "Damn that Slav."
Then he activated the Rewind Metac again.
As his consciousness escaped from his body and jumped into the river of time, a surprised voice came from the sky, saying, "What’s this? Two Divine Metacs already? I have underestimated you."
Loki heard this before the world disappeared from his sight, and he ran into the past. What he heard made him say with bitterness, "I’ve done it now. What kind of enemy have I provoked? They don’t remember me, but they can always find me."
He has escaped from danger again, but that sense of impending doom is still following him. So he knew without a doubt that he was far from safe.
Because of the danger he was feeling, when he reappeared in the physical world again, he didn’t bother to wait and see if this unreasonably powerful enemy would come after him before activating the Rewind Metac. He escaped as soon as he could without holding back at all.
His behavior caused the person in the sky to say, "Where is he?"
Loki was in the past, and he didn’t stop running into the past until he reached his limit, which was the moment of his awakening.
As he descended into reality, his heart was pounding in his chest, and his mind was whirling as fast as it could, looking for a solution. His goal is to get rid of the Danger Sense Metac as fast as he can.
It is difficult to get rid of the Danger Sense Metac because Fenrir will never regurgitate what it has already eaten. So his only option is to replace the Danger Sense Metac with something else.
This was why he looked at the people present in the awakening room for a solution. He was looking for someone with a Core Metac to devour.
As he looked around, he thought to himself, "There is Muni, Craig, Slav, and Lenard. Lenard is the closest, so I will be taking him."
The presence of a rank 3 cultivator in the awakening room caused Muni’s eyes to widen in shock before he fixated his gaze on Loki. But before he could say anything, the large hand from the sky descended again.
