One of the guards was a body forger with the classic Iron Armor Life Ability, while the other was a mind hunter with the Marionette Life Ability. Both of them possessed a potential of around 40%. They also both had status.
This puts their power at 2(Status) × 3(Cultivation) × (3(Mind) + 40%(Energy Well)) × (3(Life Ability) + 4(Living Armament)) × (200% Skill), which is 285.6 units. That small boost of 0.4 points that their energy well granted to their stats raised their power from 252 units to 285.5, which is actually a 13.3% boost to their overall power.
This kind of power matched his power output with his Life Ability, which was 289.737 units. So, despite having a status, he was still slightly stronger than they were.
However, he wouldn’t be able to defeat them if he continued to use his previous combination, and even if he managed to wear them down, it wouldn’t happen before Skarg comes over with more people.
So he decided to switch tactics. He let the Shifting Armor create a large sword for him, which he swung at the two of them.
The body forger was the one who went up to fight him. It was a woman wearing two gauntlets. The other guard, a man, stayed back and attacked his mind.

With the mental attack unable to stop him, he was able to deal with the body forger. She swung her gauntlet fist at him while he swung the sword at her with the power of 3(Telekinesis Metac) × (2(Body) + 3(Life Ability) + 357% Energy Well) × (4(Body Lever) + 4(Living Armament)) × (210% Overdrive), which is at 431.928.
This time, he used his Life Ability to enhance the power of his body like an exoskeleton armor. He also used the rank 4 Body Lever Metac and the rank 4 Living Armament.
So even though the power of his body was still stuck at the level it was when he was a rank 2 cultivator, the power that exploded out of his body was too much for his enemy to bear.
The sword cut through the gauntlet, and the woman wielding it with a single blow. The sword cut one arm off and went on to dissect her from her collar down to her belly.
Blood spurted out her body and splashed onto him. It splashed onto his black armor, but the blood slid off without staining him at all.
He kicked her corpse aside and proceeded to the next guard. This guard was even easier to kill because his body was weak. He put up no worthwhile resistance as Loki cut off his head.
After killing them, he said with pride, "I’m so strong. And this isn’t even my full strength."
He wasn’t jesting when he said this. Not only did he not get to use the Siphon Ability, but he also didn’t use the Metacs of the Sword Pathway. If he had used the latter, his strength would have exploded for sure.
When he thought of the Metacs of the Sword Pathway, he couldn’t help but say with pity, "It is unfortunate that the Sword Heart Metac won’t work with my guns. Not even making the bullets sword shape was able to fool it."
As he said this, he bent down to retrieve the Danger Sense Metac from Slav’s mangled and bloody body.
Once his hand touched Slav’s body, the armor around his hand liquified and separated from his hand so he could touch Slav’s body. Then he went ahead to retrieve the seal within Slav’s energy well.
Immediately after the sealed Danger Sense Metac entered his energy and was devoured by Fenrir, he sighed in relief and said, "I’ve finally gotten it. It is not what I planned, but I will take it. As far as consolation prices go, this one is exellent."
His initial plan was to take things slowly and raise the power of his Life Ability before reversing time. But as he was feeding his Life Ability the metals he bought, he heard a noise, so he looked out the window and saw Jim being attacked by two golden men.
He couldn’t be sure if the second golden man was new or if it had always been around, but he failed to spot it. But he was sure that this meant that Skarg was finally making a move against him.
Since the situation had reached that point, he had no choice but to do something stupid that he didn’t want to do. Of course, now that Skarg was already attacking him, it was no longer stupid to go after Slav.
So he escaped through the window of his apartment and managed to avoid the people coming after him, thanks to the ability of his Life Ability to take to the sky and fly. From there, he went looking for Loki.
That’s what led to this moment. He is sure that Skarg already knows where he is by now, but he doesn’t care anymore. The only thing on his mind right now is fusing the Danger Sense Metac into his fifth energy chamber.
As the Danger Sense Metac fused with the fifth energy chamber, he felt a sense of fullness. It was as if he had filled a missing gap in his life and had finally become whole.
With a fifth Core Metac within him, his Fenrir increased in size and began growing more energy threads. Because of this, he could feel himself growing stronger by the moment.
That was the good news. The bad news was that he was now in grave danger.
The Danger Sense Metac alerted him to immense and overwhelming danger from the sky. As he looked up, he saw something that made his eyes go wide in fright.
