If Slav hadn’t awakened a Divine Metac, his mind would still be focused on earning money, so he would have given the speech. But because of Slav, money wasn’t on his mind at all. Only how to survive was on his mind.

So he led everyone to their accommodations in silence. Before leaving, he said to Loki, "I have to take you out of the initiation program to register you at the sect grounds. I’m sure you know how this goes. You clearly don’t need any initiation."

Loki thought about his situation before saying, "Give me six hours. I also want access to the market. There is something I have to do before I can leave."

Muni thought about his request and said, "Fine. Follow me then."

Then he turned and left. Loki quickly followed him.

On their way to the market, Muni thought to himself, "I wonder why he wants to go to the market. It doesn’t matter much anyway. We are both dead men."

In regard to Loki’s request, Loki doesn’t need to leave immediately. Since the initiation program won’t start officially until tomorrow, he has until the evening to kick Loki out.

So Loki’s request to delay his exit for another six hours wasn’t problematic. However, Loki doesn’t have the right to request access to the market.

Muni could have rejected the request to gain access to the market. But he didn’t because he didn’t want to offend a reincarnation of a great cultivator.

Right now, he respects and fears Loki more than he fears Skarg and the Rein Family. The Rein Family had once paid him to break the rules, so the least he could do for a full reincarnation is to do a favor that won’t break any rules and do it without being paid.

But he did say in warning to Loki, "I don’t need to tell you, but i would be neglecting my duties if i don’t tell you not to create any trouble. The sect will crack down heavily on you and I if you break the rules."

When they got to the market, Loki quickly rushed to the loan sharks to borrow money. Since he was a reincarnation of a great cultivator, he was valued at 100,000 energy stones. This is usually the limit of the value of a rank 3 cultivator.

They valued Loki so highly, even though his body, mind, and soul were not up to par with rank 3 cultivation. And even though none of them had up to 100,000 energy stones to lend him, they pooled their wealth together so that they could have the money to lend him.

After he got the money, Loki went to use it to gamble. Muni was watching, so he saw this happen. He expected Loki to pull off a miracle, but Loki lost all of the money.

The loss of so much money, more than the amount that he was supposed to earn for one year of being an instructor in the initiation program, made Muni’s face twitch. He didn’t know what to say.

At the end of the day, after grappling with his thoughts, he said with admiration, "As expected of the reincarnation of a great cultivator. Only someone like that can squander so much money on one sitting."

As for Loki, after losing so much money, he clapped his hands and said, "Another round."

Then he activated the Rewind Metac.

The Rewind Metac took him back to the moment of awakening. Everything that happened in the last timeline also happened in this timeline. The only difference was that Loki was no longer too shocked to mark Slav with a tracker.

In the last timeline, when Slav regained his memories, he had been too shocked by the changes that Slav underwent to remember what he had initially planned to do to Slav. His shock and surprise made him forget to use the Tracking Ability on Slav and plan to hunt Slav later.

But this time, things were different because he had seen the sudden changes in Slav before. However, he only dared to mark Slav. He didn’t dare go after Slav immediately.

He didn’t go after Slav because there was something about Slav that made him feel oddly threatened. Aside from that, he didn’t want to be associated with Slav at the moment because of all the trouble that Slav is in.

Besides that, there is also the glaring fact that he, too, is in trouble because of the Divine Metacs in his possession. If anyone searches his energy well right now, he will be in as much trouble as Slav is in

So even if Skarg won’t try to kill him in this lifetime, there will be many more powerful people who will be happy to do so. This makes it so that his highest priority is to preserve his life and advance to rank 4.

He already has a plan for these two goals. As he thought of his plan, he thought to himself with a grin, "The first step is to get a loan."

After he got the loan, Loki thought to himself with anticipation, "Step 2, win a lot of money."

He said to himself as he took all of that money to the gambling houses. Then he proceeded to make the owners of the gambling houses weep tears of pain and loss.

Muni, who had been following along to make sure that Loki didn’t cause any trouble, shook his head when he saw this and said with immense admiration, "As expected of the reincarnation of a great cultivator. Earning money is as easy as drinking water for them."
