Eventually, Slav was cornered with nowhere to go. With nowhere left to go, Slav turned his attention to the thorns themselves. He decided to deal with them to create a way out of his predicament.

So he used the Space Tear Metac on his hands, which caused the space around his hands to vibrate. Then he used his hand as a blade to cut the tentacles and thorns.

Loki couldn’t control the tentacles the way he could control the whips, so he couldn’t make them avoid Slav’s hand and ensnare Slav. The tentacles were mostly stationary, which made it easy for Slav to cut them.

Slav’s hand went back and forth severing the black thorny branches. But this was only a stopgap that could, at best, buy a short reprieve. He couldn’t cut the tentacles faster than they could regenerate and grow new tentacles. So despite his hard work, the thorns were still slowly and surely encircling him.

Eventually, Slav couldn’t hold back anymore. So Slav activated the Space Freeze Metac.

In the past, this had worked well to neutralize Loki. The power of space had been overwhelming to him.

The power of that move was like the curse attack from the effigy. He didn’t have the tools to defend against both the curse and the power to freeze space. So he had been helpless against it.

Even now, Loki expected this to be the end for him. He still didn’t give up, though. He still resisted with everything he had. He used every tool at his disposal to resist.

One of the things that he had now that he didn’t have before was his Mind Palace. As it turned out, the power of the Space Freeze Metac didn’t affect his Mind Palace.

The Space Freeze Metac had frozen his body, but his mind could still move, and he could still think. Since the tiny holographic figure in the Mind Palace could still move, he made it absorb a lot of energy in order to make the body float.

With the Mind Palace taking action, he could finally resist. Since he could resist, his Mind Palace produced power that was equal to 4(Dao Status) × (4(Telekinesis Metac) + 4(Reversal))× (1.5(Mind) + 1.5(Mind) + 450% Energy Well) × (300% Overdrive + 450% Energy Nexus), which is 1,800.

This power was pitifully low, but Slav wasn’t faring well either. After all, the power of the Space Freeze Metac was 1(Cultivation Rank) × (6(Will) + 90% Energy Well) × (1 Space Freeze) × (500% Overdrive + 90% Energy Nexus), which is 40.71 units.

This tiny power of 40.71 units was enough to freeze him before it worked on a fundamental level that he couldn’t resist. But now that he could resist this fundamental power, this kind of power became flimsy to him.

Since he could block the attack, the Reversal Metac took effect. It absorbed the power of the Space Freeze Metac and amplified it with its own power. Then it threw the combined power at Slav.

Slav had wanted to take advantage of Loki’s incapacitation to kill him, but the power of the Space Freeze Metac was bounced back onto him. So he was the one who froze in the air.

Loki didn’t let this opportunity go at all. He turned around and unleashed the two Gatling guns on Slav. The bullets from the two of them struck the young master and tore his body apart.

The turn of events made the eyes of the small figure in Loki’s mind widen in surprise. Then he said to himself in disbelief, "So that’s why he was scared of me. That’s why he chose to run away earlier. He knew that I would be able to break the restriction." 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

In the physical world, Loki’s body stood frozen in front of the door. He was the only one in the room as everyone else was dead. Since he stopped shooting around, the whole room went quiet.

Because Slav was dead, Loki lost his access to the infinite supply of energy. So he couldn’t continue to grow the tentacle forest.

He also didn’t need the tentacle forest anymore, so he withdrew all of the tentacles back to his body. Then he went over to Slav’s corpse.

Without the tentacles in his way, he was able to easily reach Slav’s body. And with no one else in the room, there was no one to distract him from bending down to Slav’s corpse.

When he bent down over Slav’s body, he realized that there was only one Divine Metac within him. This Divine Metac was the one that was sealed away by Fenrir’s ability. The other two had disappeared to places unknown.

This sealed Divine Metac was the one Slav used last. It was the Space Freeze Metac. Loki took the Space Freeze Metac and used it to replace the Telepathy Metac.

After he was done with this, he clapped his hands and said, "Let’s go fishing again."

Then he committed suicide and went back in time. As Fenrir took him through the River of Time, he was full of anticipation for what he would encounter when he awakened.

He said, "I hope Slav still has the good stuff."

When he opened his eyes in the physical world, he saw Slav hiding behind Muni again. And as usual, Slav had changed into another person.

But this time, Slav wasn’t looking at him. Slav was looking inwards and wondering to himself, saying, "Where is the Space Freeze Metac? Weren’t there supposed to be two?"

He wasn’t looking down on Loki because he wasn’t paying any attention to Loki at all. But Loki didn’t mind at all. He went to the door and went ahead to repeat what happened last time.

Everything worked out well, and there were no surprises this time around. Slave even died to the Gatling guns, but it was because he ran out of space to dodge, not because he was frozen by the backlash of his Divine Metac.
