So by advancing to rank 2, he has improved quantitatively and qualitatively. This brought a smile to his face.

But then, someone else said with a tone of satisfaction, "Very nice, indeed."

When he looked up, he saw a zombie. It was the same zombie that he saw leading the Death Claw Society on the day of the competition.

The zombie was in the levitating above him. As it lowered itself towards Loki, it said, "I especially liked the part where you absorbed his Core Metac. I’m curious. How did you do it? Tell me and I’ll give you everything you want."

Loki’s eyes shrank in fear when he saw her. When he heard her question, he almost rolled his eyes in disdain. This was because only a naive child would believe her promise.

There was the fact that she didn’t stay in the sky waiting for his answer, but was approaching him quickly. It indicated that she was more of a hands-on person who didn’t mind getting their hands dirty in order to get what they want.

Knowing what she was capable of, he didn’t want to risk being turned into a puppet and have Fenrir taken from him. So he activated the Rewind Metac to reverse time while he still had the chance to escape.

When the Rewind Metac was activated and his consciousness was taken away, he sighed in relief. But then something surprising happened to him.

Instead of jumping out of his energy well, Fenrir actually took his energy well with him into the river of time. This was because Fenrir had fused with his energy well.

Another change was caused by Fenrir being stronger than normal. This change was caused because Fenrir has now advanced to rank 2 with twice as much power as it used to have. This made Fenrir go much farther than it usually does.

When he woke up after reversing time, he expected to wake up a day after the competition. That’s why he had waited one month before luring Jim out of the city into the forest, where he would be able to kill him and harvest his Core Metac without interference.

But because of Fenrir’s extra energy, he was able to go back two months into the past, not just one month. So he woke up a day after he made up his mind to increase the power of his body and went to the market to buy the Metacs needed to do so.

He was in his room feeding copper bars to the Copper Body Metac. The Copper Body Metac is an amorphous mass of an orange wax-like substance. It is in his hands, slowly assimilating the copper bars like a slime eating leaves.

After the Copper Body Metac is full, it will become denser and heavier. At that point, he will put it on his body and infuse it with his internal energy. Once it gets the support of his internal energy, it will spread all over his body and refine it from his skin down to his bones.

This process of refinement is painful. It is also expensive for most people. But Loki had made up his mind to gain a body strong enough to help him escape the pursuit of his enemies.

That was his motivation yesterday. Now that he has gained memories of future events, his motivation might have changed.

The Copper Body Metac was feeding when Fenrir arrived from the future, descended into his body, and began fusing with his energy well. He had to stop what he was doing to let the fusion occur.

Just like when he was breaking through, this fusion tool took a while to complete. It took 51 minutes and 33 seconds to be exact. By the time it was completed, the 308 energy threads had finished growing throughout his body, and he had fully advanced to rank 2.

The first thing he did was to use the Power Identification Ability to check his state.

The biggest change is the upgrading of his energy density from level 4 to level 5 and the increase in his energy rank from rank 1 to rank 2. These two changes are the main changes that accompany an advancement in rank.

But there are more changes that have occurred with him that are not normal. These abnormal or unique changes are all related to Fenrir.

The first of these unique changes is that this Innate Metac of his has become more sensitive in determining his state and the state of others. In other words, the Power Identification Ability has become more powerful and more accurate.

This is clear from the fact that he can now tell how many months he has lived and how many months he has to live when he could only tell years before. Another thing that Fenrir can tell now is the difference between the power of the soul and the power of the mind.

Fenrir used to bundle the power of the soul and the power of the mind together at rank 1. Now that it can tell the two of them, Loki has reasons to hope that Fenrir will be able to tell more information about other people.
