THE GOD EATER-Chapter 76: Formula Changes.
The second change to Fenrir is that the Devouring ability of Fenrir has now extended to the internal energy of prey. This way, he won’t use energy stones or Cloudy Date Metac to cultivate. He can always increase his cultivation by devouring the cultivation of others.
The third change is that Fenrir can produce more Tracking marks now. This means that he can track and hunt more than one prey at the same time now.
The final, but not the least important change to Fenrir is that after it consumed his main energy chamber, it awakened a fifth ability. This ability is the Siphon Ability. It is an alternative ability to the Seal Ability.
The Seal Ability can only take effect once the target dies, but the Siphon Ability can take effect when the target is alive. And through the Siphon Ability, he can devour the internal energy of the target while they are still alive.
The devouring of the life energy of the target through the Siphon Ability won’t be as good as devouring their energy chamber when they die. The latter can be used to permanently increase his cultivation, while the former can only temporarily increase the amount of energy he has available by taking it from his enemy.
He has four energy chambers and a lot of energy, so he won’t need the extra energy that the Siphon Ability can provide him. But the fact that the Siphon Ability can take energy from his enemies will be very useful in a fight.

Since the Siphon Ability can be useful against someone like Slav, who has a potential of 95, he is sure that it will be useful against other people. After thinking about more examples where the Siphon Ability would be useful, Jim’s name came to his mind.
It is a no-brainer to him that the Siphon Ability will be more effective on targets with small energy wells like Jim. But then he laughed and said, "Why bother, though? Jim is too weak to be taken seriously."
He had struggled to defeat Slav, a rank 1 cultivator, partly because he was pretending to be weak, but he had easily defeated and killed Jim, a rank 2 cultivator. So no, he doesn’t think he will need to slowly wear down Jim’s power by siphoning his internal energy over the period of their fight.
He didn’t need the Siphon Ability to defeat Jim at rank 1, so he doesn’t think he will need it now to defeat Jim. When he made the calculations, he realized how true this was.

Now his mental attack can produce a power output of 2(Cultivation Rank/Core Metac) × 2(Mind) × 2(Mind Stab) × (100% (Overload) + 5 (Dao Heart)), which is 48 units. This is an increase of 220%.
The way his power is produced has changed now because his Core Metac has fused with his energy well to raise his cultivation level, and because Overload is replacing the value of Skill.
So his power won’t be calculated as (Cultivation Rank) × (Stat + Metac) × (Skill). It is now (Cultivation Rank) × (Stat) × (Metac) × (Skill/Overload).
The replacement of Skill by Overload has not been fully utilized by him yet. When he trains his energy manipulation to the extent that he can use his energy threads to overload the power of a Metac, the true advantage of a rank 2 Cultivator will be revealed.
The more energy threads a cultivator has, the easier it will be for them to overload the Metac that they are using because they will be able to supply more energy into the Metac at once compared to other cultivators with fewer energy threads.
For someone like Jim with only 27 energy threads, he will be able to overload his Metac easily by 11.407 times. In fact, Jim might not dare overload a Metac for fear of frying and destroying his energy well. So Loki will easily leave Jim behind in the aspect of overloading in the future.
His overtaking Jim in the aspect of Overloading is for the future. Fortunately, an advantage in Overloading Metacs is not something he needs to defeat Jim now.
This is because Jim can only provide mental attacks with a power output of 2(Cultivation Rank/Telepathy Metac) × 2(Mind) × 2 (Sleep Metac) × (0%(Overload) + 2 (Dao Heart)), which is only 16 units.
With this kind of power, Jim couldn’t overwhelm Loki’s mind when he was at rank 1, and there is definitely no way he can pressure Loki’s mind now.
