THE GOD EATER-Chapter 93 - 5 Cycles.
Another thing that happened recently was that Simon had attacked him last night. So he had decided to stop holding back and had gone to splurge earlier in the day and bought all the rank 2 Cloudy Date Metacs that he needed to advance all four of his energy chambers to the peak of rank 2.
After his two consciousnesses fused and his memories of the future and the current were reconciled, he exhaled and said, "What was he screaming for? Didn’t he promise to protect me? What he did expect was going to happen when one crosses the Rein Family?"
Then he snorted and said, "He is just like that Tommy guy. Both of them are cheaters and con men. They are made from the same dubious mold."
He didn’t feel guilty at all that the factory was destroyed. In fact, he is so unrepentant that he intends to repeat the events of the last timeline and join the Rusty Bolts Society to learn how to forge despite knowing that this would make the Rein Family target Rusty.
With his decision made, he continued to refine his body. But he still grumbled and said, "Better Rusty than I. He promised to take the blow for me, so he has to do his job."
As he said this to himself, he remembered how Rusty had roared in pain. This brought a smile to his face.
He sneered and said, "Instead of going to fight Skarg and the Viking Blade Society, he only knows how to bully someone small like me."
There was very little to do to entertain himself that was safe, so his days were usually spent in monotonous training. But as he continued to refine his body, memories of the previous timeline kept popping up in his mind, causing him to smile and chuckle.
For a while that day and the following morning, he was entertained while training. Of course, to the people who saw him giggling for no reason, he appeared to be losing his mind.
They thought that he was crazy, so they gave him weird looks. But this only further amused Loki.
Loki spent his days training until it was time for the competition. He won the competition and advertised for the Rusty Bolts Society as he did for them in the previous timeline. Then he joined the Rusty Bolts Society and went to learn how to forge.
He did this for 3 more timelines, for a total of 5 timelines that he spent as a member of the Rusty Bolts Society. Each time he was a member of the Rusty Bolts Society, he could only maintain it for two months. So he spent ten months learning how to forge.
He could only spend two months in each timeline because a golden golem would always attack the factory every two months, and Rusty would come after him with murderous intentions.
His 10 months of training can be equated to 40 months of training for ordinary people and 60 months of training for less-than-average people. This is because he spent all of his time forging, which is a privilege others don’t have, even if they don’t have to work to earn money. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
In these ten months of training, it can be said that he has learned everything that the Rusty Bolts Society can teach him. To be fair, what the Rusty Bolts Society taught him isn’t actually a lot.
He and every member of the society had the opportunity to learn how to forge artifacts up to rank 3. As for the techniques and materials needed to forge rank 4 artifacts and above, Rusty didn’t teach them, even though they were his slaves.
Loki tried many times to get Rusty to teach them how to forge rank 4 mechs, but Rusty refused. In fact, Rusty claimed that his knowledge would have to die with him.
Loki couldn’t blame Rusty for this because Rusty is one of two people in the city who could forge rank 4 artifacts. So, to teach another person how to forge rank 4 artifacts is to create competition for himself.
Since Loki had nothing left to learn from the Rusty Bolts Society, he returned to the embrace of the Death Claw Society like a prodigal son returning home to his father.
However, his treatment was different this time around because he had become a hot commodity after advancing to rank 2. After all, he was no longer a rank 1 cultivator like the time he first joined the Death Claw Society.
He wasn’t just some talented young man at rank 1 who needed protection and who no one was willing to protect from the Rein Family. He was now a rank 2 cultivator who could advertise for them and draw a lot of recruits into their Society.
Even if they were lying about protecting him, they still had to provide a lot of benefits upfront in order to recruit him. As for what will happen later, that is still up for debate.
Jim was also assigned to o be his guide this time around. During the entire process of registration and being led to his apartment, Jim was very respectful to him. The Mind Hunter didn’t dare to call him ignorant and naive, like he did the first time they met.
Loki noticed all of these differences in how he was being treated, and it brought a smile of amusement to his lips. As Jim led him to his new accommodations, he thought to himself, "Power is great. I should get more of it."
His smile became wider when he was led to a building with condos, not one with two room apartments.
The first time he joined the Death Claw Society seven timelines ago, he was given an apartment in the fourth ring to stay. He is still staying in the fourth ring, but this time, he was given an entire flat with three rooms, a personal kitchen, and a personal bathroom.
