Chapter 69: Let’s help Hubby relax together!

The hunters of Goldenveil, just over fifteen in all, gathered at the barracks.

Since they already knew what was happening, they came prepared, carrying everything they deemed necessary, especially incense, both to ward off and to attract beasts.

The first type was always in use around Goldenveil, spread daily along the walls.

The second, obviously, was kept tightly sealed so that not even a trace of the scent could escape.

The barracks buzzed with noise, but silence fell instantly the moment Ethan’s footsteps echoed outside the door.

A hunter in his fifties stepped forward as the door swung open, revealing Ethan and his two beautiful wives.

"My lord..." The hunter bowed his head.

"I’ve lived here since Lord Darkwall decided to establish this settlement ten years ago. We’ve dealt with beasts that have come down from the Eternal Mountains many times.

They always arrive hungry and weakened by the journey, so we need to kill it as quickly as possible, before it can eat and recover."

"I know," Ethan nodded.

Honestly, he could put this beast to other uses if they were in a better situation. It would even be perfect for thinning the number of goblins that would soon attack Goldenveil.

If they had a third-stage warrior, that would likely be the path he would take. But with only second-stage warriors at his disposal, he was in no position to let a creature like this grow any stronger.

"That’s why I called everyone here. I want to hunt it down tomorrow." Ethan scanned the room before continuing.

"We need a place where we can isolate and trap it, somewhere archers have a clear enough view to shoot safely while Doran, the rest of the guard, and I move in to kill it."

The plan was simple.

Using Alice’s flames, they could cut off any escape route, keeping the beast contained.

With archers firing from elevated positions to distract it, they would advance with spears and bring it down.

There was also a large fishing net made of sturdy rope in the warehouse, which could be used to immobilize it completely and make everything far safer.

The problem was that the net was too heavy and cumbersome to carry through the forest.

So Ethan would have to take the harder route.

"Well... my lord, we could try using the abandoned goblin camp."

The hunter said.

"It’s surrounded by mountains on two sides and has elevated positions suitable for archers. Goldenveil was even planned to be built there, before the lord at the time decided to settle here instead.

The strong smell of rotting goblin corpses might also help mask our own scent, though we’ll need to stay careful."

Ethan listened to everything the hunter had to say, and as his gaze moved across the room, he received steady nods of agreement.

It was dangerous, and time was short. They would have to start early to get everything in place as quickly as possible.

"We’ll also need bait. A bleeding pig should do the trick." Ethan paused, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "I don’t think anyone here is going to volunteer for that part, am I right?"

He meant it as a joke, but to his surprise, a man rose from the crowd.

It was the man Doran had saved earlier.

His steps were unsteady, but his eyes carried resolve.

"Lord, please, let me lure that damn thing!" he declared, drawing on every shred of courage he had, and even some he didn’t.

His mind was clear now. The terror that had paralyzed him hours earlier was no longer holding him in place.

He had lost three close friends and his own brother. How could he return home without at least doing something to avenge them?

"You might die. Perhaps even before we finish setting the trap."

"I know, Lord." The man bowed his head, his voice low and thick with bitterness. "Even so, I want to help kill that damned beast."

Ethan didn’t answer immediately.

There were plenty of other ways the man could contribute.

He could be a spearman, help with containment, or simply stand guard at Goldenveil while the others handled the ambush.

Still, he had chosen to be bait.

Humans were strange creatures, sometimes irrational, but Ethan didn’t judge him for it. He was human too.

"Very well. Sleep here in the barracks tonight and rest well. We begin preparations early tomorrow."

At the close of the meeting, Ethan ordered the hunters to gather every last reserve of beast-repelling incense they had in stock.

Throughout the journey and the setup, it would need to burn without interruption to ensure the creature caught no trace of the trap being laid.

By the time he finally stepped outside, night had settled completely over Goldenveil.

The meal Alice had prepared had already gone cold, so she hurried to light the fire, which took no effort at all with her magic.

While she warmed the food, Ethan sat himself into one of the kitchen chairs, and Evelyn stopped in front of him.

"Evelyn? What are you doing?" Alice asked, turning just in time to see the other woman crouching between Ethan’s spread legs, her heels digging into the soft, plump flesh of that huge, perfect Bubble Butt.

"What do you think? Fufufu~~" Evelyn let out a low, mature giggle. "Didn’t you even notice how hard our man already is?"

She grabbed the bulge in Ethan’s pants and squeezed, slow and firm, savoring the way his expression melted into pleasure.

That naughty hubby of theirs.

The entire walk back from the barracks, his eyes had never once left the sway of their asses, tracing every shift and bounce.

Well, he was their man.

How could they send him to sleep like that, with that huge, hard thing straining against his pants, especially on the eve of something so dangerous?

They needed to help him relax!

Alice shuddered, snapped off the stove, and spun sharply toward them, her large, pale tits swaying with the sudden movement.

Her fair cheeks burned red as she grabbed Ethan by the collar with both hands.

"Let’s help Hubby relax together... but not here," She pulled him toward the bedroom, and Evelyn fell in eagerly behind them.

She found it so endearing when Alice acted like that.

It was such a sharp contrast to her usually soft, yielding nature that it never failed to make Evelyn smile.
