After thinking for a moment, Ling Feng turned his head to look at Chen Yuhe, "Your dad works in mining, right? He must be a major electricity user, right?"

Ling Feng felt helpless and gritted his teeth, "If it doesn’t work, I’ll buy a generator tomorrow!"

Everyone looked at one another, all out of ideas.

Ling Feng’s eyes darted around, "How about we continue playing poker tonight?"

All three women gave him a disdainful look simultaneously!

"Hehe, I was just asking. After all, there’s nothing else to do, and it’s not practical to go to sleep this early," Ling Feng said with a wry smile.

At that moment, Chen Yuhe suddenly clapped her hands, "Oh my, we’re so dumb! Just because the village has no electricity doesn’t mean other places are without power. Why do we have to stay put here?"

"Right, we could just drive back to the county town! So silly!" Mo Jiaolan immediately agreed.

Li Shiyun wasn’t opposed, as she was very uncomfortable with her phone out of battery and eager to find a place to charge it, so she immediately responded, "Great! I have no objections!"

"Then let’s go. Ling Feng, you stay and watch the house; we three will head back to town for the night!" Chen Yuhe declared.

The minute he said it, he regretted it because Li Shiyun and Mo Jiaolan were already staring at him with wide eyes!

"You two, booked a room?" both women asked at the same time.

Chen Yuhe’s face turned to embarrassment, she glared at Ling Feng, and explained to them, "It’s not what you’re thinking. It was to lure someone into a trap!"

"Lure who?" Mo Jiaolan asked in astonishment.

"Ah, it’s a long story, I’ll explain on the way!" Chen Yuhe said.

Li Shiyun exchanged a look with Mo Jiaolan and nodded simultaneously, "Then we’ll talk on the way, let’s go."

The three girls packed up their things and headed out to the car. Ling Feng, seeing nobody paying attention to him, quickly locked the door and sheepishly followed them.

Mo Jiaolan and Chen Yuhe sat in the front, while Li Shiyun took the back seat. When Ling Feng got in the car, the three of them said nothing.

After the car had started and was slowly moving away, Chen Yuhe began to talk about the events that had unfolded during their shopping trip earlier in the day, and then how Ling Feng had lured those people to the hotel room.

When she finished the story, both Mo Jiaolan and Li Shiyun were somewhat surprised, not having expected such an episode to occur today.

"Who would have thought, just for a vein of ore, it has attracted so much attention. Is it worth it?" Mo Jiaolan said.

"I’m not sure, luckily there were no mishaps today. I actually wanted to ask my dad what was going on, but my phone had run out of battery," Chen Yuhe added.

While the two of them were speaking in the front, Ling Feng turned to glance at Li Shiyun, wanting to ask her thoughts, but to his surprise, Li Shiyun just slightly shook her head.

Seeing she didn’t want to speak, Ling Feng didn’t ask any further.

Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the hotel in the county. Ling Feng had intended to go straight upstairs but then realized that the three girls hadn’t followed him.

"What are you doing?" he asked, turning around.

Chen Yuhe looked at him, "You don’t expect all three of us to stay in that tiny single room, do you? That’s your room. We’re staying in a suite tonight!"

"Oh."

Ling Feng was left speechless. Fancy thoughts are pleasant, but reality is harsh. How could such a large hotel be completely booked, not even a single room left?

If that were really the case, it would indeed be a miracle.

Sure enough, the three quickly completed the check-in procedures, and then they all entered the elevator together.

After reaching the tenth floor, the elevator doors opened, and Ling Feng stepped out, only to find the three hadn’t followed.

Turning back to see the three of them with mischievous smiles, he hurriedly asked, "What now?"

"Your room is here, but ours is on the sixteenth floor. See you tomorrow morning!" Chen Yuhe said with a grinning wave, and then the elevator doors slowly closed.

Ling Feng was momentarily at a loss for words, how could he have forgotten about this?

"If you’d like to stay on, I can reprocess your check-in. The earlier deposit will be settled when you check out tomorrow," the attendant offered.
