Chapter 402: The western side of the continent

"Ahhhhhhh-OOOOOOOF! W-What’s going on?!" Kai jumped to his feet, looking around to see where he was and who had dragged him here.

"Hey, babe. They need you for something." Gwen smiled.

"No, no, no, no, no! I was about to record an amazing moment in history! M-My daughter, she called me ’dada’, it was a legendary moment in history! Noooooooooooo!" He was defeated. Utterly destroyed. There was no meaning to life now. He just wanted to die.

"Oops. I’m sorry." Gwen knew how much his daughters meant to Kai, so she knew that had to sting.

"It’s fine. What do you need me for?" He asked Sekmala

"Can you escort us to Sunlight City?" She asked with a cute smile

"What? That’s it? You have them for that. I could have been enjoying my time with my daughters. God dammit!"

"Oh, stop being such a big baby." Amaya laughed as she slapped Kai on the back, only hurting her own hand. "Jeez, what the fuck is your back made out of?"

"I know this might seem like a redundant request, but we are not confident in our own abilities. Ever since Setton betrayed us, we have to be on edge, and we don’t know who or what to trust." Sekmala explained.

"It’s gotten to a point where we’re at a standstill. However, we still need to push forward with our mission. But to do so means to invite more danger than normal. So, we ask you for your aid. Especially since we’ll be in enemy territory."

"Fine. I’ll join you. When do we leave?" Kai asked, feeling a tear well up in his eye. He quickly wiped it away, knowing that his moment with his daughter was gone.

"We’ll leave right away. As for the six of you, I also have a mission to send you on."

"Ooo, what is it? Will it involve killing?" Amaya produced her claws.

"Maybe." Sekmala nodded.

"Really?" Karumi did the same.

"I wish for the six of you to check out the location where the fourth temple will be. Here. The location is on this map. I don’t want to send my men there because they have a chance of being captured, and you all are way more than strong enough to defend yourselves."

Amaya got all excited, anticipating the fun they would all have. "Well, we’re perfect for the job. We’ll get on it right away!"

---

"Great, you’re all here. I got the sand sailor ready and packed our belongings. It’s a three-day trip, so be prepared." Osiren smiled, feeling proud of himself.

"Hello, Kai." He nodded at the demigod.

"Sup. We won’t be needing the sand sailor, I can get us there in an instant."

"Y-You sure? Because I know that teleporting can take a lot of energy, and I don’t want to tire you out."

Kai shook his head. "Nah, it’s good, man. I’m good. Thanks for looking out for me, though."

"Sure, sure. It’s just that I prepared the sand sailor for us to ride on and packed our stuff. I don’t think carrying all of this luggage is very practical, you know? I don’t want to slow you down or anything."

"Oh, no worries, man. Check it." Kai put all of the stuff, even the sand sailor, in his inventory. "Pretty neat, right? My own storage space. Comes in handy."

"Y-Yeah. That’s really awesome." He gave up. He couldn’t win against Kai, and the man wasn’t even trying to win.

"Alright, let’s go. There is a safe house in Sunlight City that we can head to. Just take us there, and I can lead us to the house." Sekmala told Kai.

"No problem. Hold on tight." He grabbed the two of them and teleported them to the city.

While Kai technically hadn’t been to Sunlight City before, he had flown over it when he was making his way to the capital. However, this meant that when Kai teleported to the place, he ended up high in the sky, and they all started falling down to the ground really fast.

"Ahhhh! Kai! What the hell?!"

"Ha, sorry about that. Let me just..." He teleported them to the surface. "There we go. Much better."

"W-Why did you teleport us into the air?" Sekmala’s legs were shaking, and it wasn’t from sex.

"I teleport to places I’ve been to before, places that I remember. My only time being here was when I was flying over the place. So, we ended up in the air." He explained.

"O-Oh. I guess that makes sense. J-Just be more careful next time, please."

"No problem."

Sekmala looked around, knowing where they were. She was familiar with every location in Astalith and knew her way around.

"Follow me." She started talking into the streets, the wind blowing in their face, while sand was picked up into the air.

They moved swiftly, quietly, and smoothly without drawing any attention to themselves, even stopping at vendors to purchase some fruit to look less suspicious.

They had on head garbs and face masks, all of which were perfectly normal because of the windy days and the sand that could get in one’s face.

"We’re close, keep up."

They continued to move their way through the streets, making eye contact with guards to greet them and appreciate their work. The best type of infiltration wasn’t when you were unknown, but when you were known, because when people are familiar with you, they don’t suspect you of doing anything wrong.

"We’re here." Sekmala knocked on the door to a store that had a sign that read ’We sell Potions, not Aphrodisiacs. If you want to get your dick hard, go somewhere else.’

"Pretty intense sign," Kai commented.

"Yeah, people always think that potion stores have sex potions, so they started specifying what type of potions they sell," Sekmala explained.

They all entered and were greeted by a store clerk.

"Welcome, customers. How may I help you today?" The man asked with a bright smile.

"Yes, I’m looking for the Old Spice Potion that can restore what was lost." Sekmala smiled.

The man’s face turned serious, and he looked to his left and right. "Follow me."

’They got Old Spice in this world?’ Kai wondered to himself.
