The Hero of Hypnosis-Chapter 430: The First Prince
That’s what Kai wanted to say, but he actually didn’t say it. He didn’t want people to know that he was a demigod. He was okay with them knowing that he was an extremely overpowered person, though.
"You see, one of my ancestors was old friends with the hero, and because of that, the Goddess looked after my family. She made sure we lived a good, long, and healthy life. I was in the mountains training for my entire life, but I did get some basic information rundowns and shit like that. Anyway, she told me to have fun."
The Third Prince couldn’t believe what he was hearing, but everything was now starting to make sense to him.
"I see, so you’re on vacation from training." He assumed
Of course, that wasn’t the case at all, but Kai went along with it anyway because it was easier.
"Yup!"
"Amazing. To think that you were looked after by the goddess. That must be like having a guardian angel over your shoulders." The woman smiled.
"S-Sure." Kai didn’t know if that would be the case, but he understood where she was coming from.
"S-So, Kai, can I call you that?" The prince asked
"Yeah. I don’t see why you can’t."
"Great. So, Kai, I understand that you are currently the attendant of Charlotte Nord, but if I’m being extremely honest, you are way too valuable to be her attendant. I’m not saying this simply because I want you by my side, which I do, but her house wont be able to give you the resources that I would be able to provide for you."
"I get what you mean, Prince Henry, but I’m fine where I am. We’re on the same side anyway, so it honestly doesn’t matter where I am."
Instead of arguing back, the prince smiled. "I guess you’re right. Forget I mentioned this."
"Alright. I’ll be taking my leave now." Kai waved them off, then teleported back to the Nord castle.
"We need to make sure he’s protected at all times. If my brothers can’t have him, I already know they will send assassins after him."
"Your highness, are you sure it was smart not to have him by your side?"
Prince Henry took a minute to respond, but once he did, he had a smile on his face.
"No, everything is fine. And like he said, we’re on the same side anyway, it doesn’t matter if he’s at my side or not. Let’s go."
The woman nodded, then left with the Prince.
---
"I’m telling you the truth, Prince James! He was able to overpower my own Magic! I’m an 8th Tier mage, your highness, and summons are only weaker than the summoner, not stronger. The fact that I was overpowered by his summon means that this Kai fellow is stronger than me!"
The headmaster of the institute, who supported the first prince, told him everything about what happened that day.
The first prince was a tall, muscular, serious man. He was thirty years old, his younger brothers being five and ten years younger than him.
"And you said that he supports Henry?" Prince James asked
"Y-Yes. He said that out loud for everyone to hear." The headmaster nodded.
"Your highness, we need to get him on our side!" One of the prince’s backers shouted.
"Are you mad? Do you want to seem so desperate that we need to beg someone from Prince Henry’s faction just to bring him on our side to win the ensuing civil war?" Another supporter asked.
"According to my research, this Kai fellow hasn’t been with the Nord family for long, only a few days apparently. We could use this to our advantage because he has no true loyalty to them."
Prince James just sat in his chair, contemplating his next move. He was going to get Kai on his side, no matter what, or kill him, since someone that powerful could be a threat to his future reign.
The only problem was how he could get Kai on his side, and if now, how could he kill him? It was hard enough killing a superpower, let alone one that was tied to a faction.
"Do we have any events going on soon?" The Prince asked
"No, your highness. With the King still being sick, the Queen has put all functions on hold and is doing everything to improve the King’s condition."
"Hmph, that old man needs to just die already. If it weren’t for the fact that Mother is always by his side, I would have killed him by now." The Prince stood up.
"We will leave things as they are right now. Philip will surely fuck up somehow with that temper of his, so I’m not worried about Kai joining him. As for Henry, whatever he offers Kai, we’ll offer something better in return."
Everyone nodded in agreement, then they adjourned their meeting.
---
Leo was playing with his granddaughters when he suddenly sensed something from the edges of the universe.
"Hmm?" He squinted his eyes, then frowned.
"Did you feel it too?" Cassie asked
"I did." Leo got up, giving his granddaughter back to Martha.
"F-Father, is there something wrong?" Martha asked him.
"Yeah, something is definitely wrong. But don’t worry, it has nothing to do with our lovely grandchildren." He reassured her.
"Do you want me to come with you?" Cassie asked
"No, it’s fine. You stay. Enjoy this time." Leo teleported away.
"What was that about?" Lucy asked Cassie.
"Kai’s older brother is acting up."
Over at the edge of the universe, past it in fact, Leo entered the prison where he was keeping Aion.
"Fancy meeting you here, father. I didn’t know you had a hobby of being chained up as well." Aion joked
"What did you do?" He asked his son.
"What? Can’t you see it? Oh, that’s right, only your power can reject your power. Welp, that’s too bad. I’m shocked that you can sense a change in what I’m doing. Well, I guess that’s better than seeing what I’m going." Aion had no reason to lie about anything anymore since his plan on the planet his littlest brother was on failed.
Still, he had ways to work around his defeat.
Leo stuck his hand out, contemplating whether to kill Aion or not.
"Are you finally going to do it? Will you finally end your eldest son’s life? Come on, father, I know you want to!"
Leo lowered his hand.
"No. That’s Kai’s destiny. Whatever you’re doing, I’ll figure it out anyway." Leo turned to leave.
"You don’t think that I’ll kill your precious little son?" Aion tried to get under Leo’s skin, but it didn’t work.
"Heh, Aion, you’re a failure, a mistake. Something that will no longer be a part of the universe within a few months or years. You will never be as great as Kai. His destiny is to thrive, while yours is to die by his hand. I won’t deny that I was a bad father to you, twelve, but I honestly don’t care anymore. Kai is the only child I have in my books." Leo teleported away without giving Aion a chance to respond.
