The Hero of Hypnosis-Chapter 435: Maybe she can be learn about synergy...maybe not
"Hello, Sir Kai, it’s an honor to meet you." She smiled, sticking out her hand to shake.
Kai examined her body. Wide hips, fat ass, but small tits. A pretty killer combo.
"Nice to meet you as well. But you can call me Kai. I’m only 19, so I’m not a ’Sir’ yet."
Izzy chuckled and agreed to his suggestion.
"Okay, now that introductions are out of the way, let’s go!" Charlotte ran out of the house and humped into a carriage that was already prepared for them.
"Hmm? Where are we going?" Kai thought they would be training in the training ground. He wasn’t expecting to go anywhere.
"What do you mean? Didn’t you say that I would need to fight against animals and monsters? We’re going into the forest." Charlotte explained
"Oh, okay." Kai hopped in, sitting next to Charlotte.
Izzy sat across from them, and when all three people were inside, the coachman started driving.
"So, Kai, when did you start learning magic?" Izzy asked
’Technically, it was a year ago, but why would I say that? Hahahahahaha!’
"Since the day I was born. My mother told me that I came out of her blasting magic everywhere!" Kai made an explosion with his hands
Charlotte was dumbfounded. "Whoa! That’s amazing! To be strong like that since birth, that must be awesome, huh?"
"Hmm. I guess it was cool. To be honest, it was pretty normal to me. My mom and dad are both way stronger than I am. Like, I don’t have a chance at beating them at all. So I thought I was pretty weak growing up."
Izzy got slightly uncomfortable. If Kai thought he was weak compared to his parents, then she wondered just how strong his parents truly are. Little did she know that they were both deities, but that information wasn’t important for her to know.
As they all continued to talk with each other, Kai learned that Izzy was a 7th-tier mage. That was very impressive considering her age, being only 30 years old. Kai could even tell that she would be able to advance to the 8th tier pretty soon.
"My Lady, we’re here." The coachman announced, coming to a stop.
"Thank you." Charlotte stepped out, not even waiting for Kai to help her, as she was too excited to start training.
Kai stepped out alongside Izzy, and they were in a snowy field with tons of trees, which made sense since they were going to the forest.
"Man, I hate snow," Kai grumbled.
"Really? You don’t like snow? That’s surprising. I think snow is amazing." Izzy waved her hand, and snowflakes formed around her hand.
"Yeah. It’s annoying. Hard to walk in, gets all inside your clothes, it’s cold, and when you go inside, it turns into mush. Fucking disgusting."
Izzy couldn’t argue with that.
"Yeah, yeah, cool, but we’re not here for that! We’re here to train!" Charlotte wasn’t going to allow her slightly alone time with Kai to go to waste.
"Okay, yeah. Let’s get started. So, Charlotte, what’s your power level?"
"I’m at the 2nd tier!" She said proudly.
’Wow...That’s embarrassing.’ Kai felt bad for her.
Even Izzy face-palmed because that was not something to be proud of at her age. Now, if she had some sort of mana problem that didn’t allow her to cultivate it like normal people, then Kai could understand why this would be an achievement.
But after examining her body, he saw that there was nothing wrong with her physically or mentally. She just was...stupid...when it came to understanding magic.
"Damn, you’re weak as fuck!" Karumi shouted, laughing hysterically. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"What the fuck?!" Izzy jumped back and pulled out her staff. "Your summon can talk?!"
"Hell yeah, I can." She then turned into her human form. "I can even do this as well."
"Karumi, take out your tails. Why do you keep them in?" Kai loved her fluffy tails.
"Oh, I just didn’t know if you wanted me to look like a human or not. But since you love my tails so much, I’ll keep them out for you." She gave her lover a wink
"Yay! Ahem, moving on. Karumi, find us a rabbit."
"On it." It took her two seconds to find one. "Here."
"Nice. Okay, Charlotte. Your job will be to kill this rabbit. I want to see how much control you have with your mana."
"Alright, I got this." She focused her mana into her hand, created an icicle, then fired it toward the rabbit.
The icicle was so small that it looked like a needle. Normally, if done right, this wouldn’t matter, but anyone could tell that the icicle was lacing in mana. Even the firing rate was awful.
Before the icicle even reached the rabbit, it melted.
"Pwahahahahaha! That was fucking horrible! Holy shit!" That was the worst display of magic Kai had ever seen in his life.
"Y-You don’t need to laugh at me." Charlotte said, embarrassed, feeling down. She was used to being made fun of, but hearing it from Kai for some reason hurt her even more.
"Don’t worry. Once I’m done, you’ll be able to do some crazy shit. For your first lesson, let me ask you this. How do you imagine mana? No, what is mana to you?"
Charlotte answered instantly. "Mana is the energy that—"
"WRONG!" Kai interrupted her. "I don’t want the definition of what mana is. I want to know what YOU think mana is. How do you view it? What does it feel like to you? How does it connect to your being? Think about it before answering."
Izzy smiled. It was a great question to ask. Everyone sees mana differently.
Charlotte thought about her answer before finally speaking. "To me, I feel like mana is...well...myself. I don’t know how to explain it, but I just feel that way."
Kai nodded. "Good. Now, I want you to kick the snow."
"What?"
"Kick the snow." He repeated himself.
She did as he said.
"Great. Now, punch the snow."
She did as he said again.
"Awesome. Now, make a snowball."
Once more, Charlotte followed his orders.
"See how easy that was?" Kai asked her
"Yeah."
"That’s what magic is like. You already know how to feel it, absorb it, and release it. You’re simply lacking in your imagination. You are thinking that there is a specific way to utilize mana and magic, but there isn’t. Everyone is different."
Kai then showed a demonstration. "Look. If I shoot a fireball at that tree, with my strength, it will go through it." He fired the spell, and the fire tore through the tree. He regulated his power so it wouldn’t be explosive.
"That’s magic, right?"
"Yes." Charlotte answered.
"So, what’s the difference if I do this?" Kai then coated his hand in fire, then punched another tree. The result? The same as the first one.
"You punched it."
"Correct. Now, what was the difference between the magic I used?"
Charlotte was about to say that he fired a ball for the first one, then punched the tree for the second one, but that was simply his action, not the spell. The spell didn’t change at all. Instead, Kai’s hand became the fireball.
When she explained this, he smiled.
"Exactly. Mana and magic are extensions of our bodies. Treat it as such. Now, try again."
