The Last King Of Darkness-Chapter 1442 - 697: True King Ceremony Completed (Part 2)
However, this is just the Inner Spirit Realm.
The pressure of the Position is not a problem for him; a powerful Monarch can walk unchallenged here.
Rod quickly caught hold of the corrupted young dragon.
It was merely a Strong Level monster, defeated with a flick of his finger, obliterating its form and spirit.
A shining pouch fell from it, which Rod grabbed immediately. Upon opening it, a blazing white light burst forth, illuminating the entire Spirit Realm.
Within the light, as expected, were gleaming Light Stones.
Rod counted roughly, confirming ten stones, preserved in excellent condition.
Among the Light Stones, there was a crystal-clear square object, with golden light shimmering inside.
Is this the sealed Divinity?
Rod gently held the square object, and it instantly dissolved, with the golden light sinking directly into his soul.
Divinity +231
Rod’s eyes widened, stunned.
Such an abundance of Divinity?
Could this be the remaining Divinity from Heigao’er when the Dream Realm collapsed? All collected by me.
He had collected Divinity before, mostly fragments from Heigao’er, but never had he found so much at once—231 points of Divinity is unprecedented.
Rod’s heart was filled with joy, and he was one step closer to igniting the Eye of Divine.
At this moment, the exposed Light Stones attracted many Spirit Realm monsters.
The creatures formed a distant circle, slowly closing in on Rod.
Rod laughed: "Fools, human Spiritual Energy can be concealed. Before you stands a powerful Monarch."
He spread his arms, unleashing the full power of his soul, an overwhelming Spiritual Power Wave obliterated all monsters, leaving the Soul Field formed by Destroying Darkness barren.
Rod laughed heartily, soaring freely through the Spirit Realm.
Ordinary Spirit Realm monsters disintegrated by merely approaching him, countless soul ashes converging from all directions.
Though these were insignificant creatures, having no use for Rod now, the feeling was exhilarating, and after indulging for a moment, he returned to the Material World.
But as soon as he stepped into the Material World, Rod was dumbfounded.
He had arrived in an entirely unfamiliar area, encroached upon swiftly by thick Black Fog. His Humanity soon reached its limit, with his soul beginning to be corroded.
This indicated that the intensity of the Black Fog was at least Derivative Level.
"Where is this place?"
Rod looked around, noting the eerie atmosphere filled with the scent of death. Enormous hills stretched in all directions, reaching the horizon.
He was almost sure he had never been here.
The space within the Spirit Realm is chaotic and discontinuous, not fully corresponding with the Material World. After some haphazard flying, he had arrived in an unknown land.
Rod had barely taken two steps when the Heavenly Sphere Clock resonated once more within his soul.
Turning his gaze towards a hill, he sensed relics hidden there.
Flying over, he began to excavate the hill.
And then, Rod saw an incredibly shocking scene.
Laying quietly within the hill was the skeleton of a giant dragon.
The grotesque giant dragon lay silently within this hill, a small cluster of Star Source within its body glowing dimly, ensuring its remains wouldn’t decay.
At the center of its skeletal remains, a giant heart was placed.
It looked so fresh, as if it had just been plucked.
In an instant, Rod realized this was the Dragon Tomb!
The giant dragons were laid to rest here, protected by Star Source to prevent their bodies from being eroded, and using Secret Techniques to preserve their hearts for future generations!
The long sought-after Dragon Heart, right here!
Overcome with ecstasy, Rod rushed forward to send the heart back to the Dream Realm.
The Book of Knowledge, busy repairing the Star Tower, was startled by the sudden appearance of the Dragon Heart: "Master, where did you find this?"
Rod briefly recounted the process.
The Book of the Future shouted excitedly: "Master, this is Fate’s power guiding you! There is a reason behind every coincidence."
The Book of Knowledge was equally pleased: "This is a Giant Dragon’s Heart, the Demon Dragon’s Heart requires a hundred Giant Dragon Hearts, or one Dragon King’s Heart. Master, you must quickly find more, this item is bound to grant you Divinity."
The Book of the Future flipped its pages, with a flash of Fate’s power passing through, exclaiming: "Master, I see it! The Demon Dragon’s Heart will be extremely useful for you, not only helping you overcome difficulties but also allowing you to gain Divinity and save companions."
Indeed, that must be it!
Rod immediately thought of the King, and the long-slumbering Sun Knight beneath the Royal City.
The Demon Dragon’s Heart can certainly save them.
By then, the Royal City will gain yet another formidable stronghold!
Rod was overwhelmed with emotion, just as he was about to send the Star Source into the Dream Realm, the Book of Knowledge suddenly cried out.
"Master, don’t rush, first bring in the Dragon Bone. The giant dragon’s bones are top-quality materials and have long been extinct. This is a rare opportunity; the Star Source is the key to their preservation without pollution. If you take the Star Source early, the Dragon Bone will be instantly polluted."
Rod immediately realized and began disassembling the giant dragon’s bones.
He had slain more than one corrupted giant dragon before, but already corrupted into monsters, they would turn to ash upon death, yielding no materials other than bone ash.
This opportunity was too rare to pass up.
Soon, he had dismantled the Dragon Bone into a cube. Due to its size, he couldn’t send it into the Dream Realm in the usual way, and the Dragon Heart already occupied the Dream Ritual.
But this wasn’t an insurmountable problem for Rod.
He set up another Dream Ritual, sending out the Dragon Heart, stacking it atop the Dragon Bone, and sending the whole ensemble back to the Dream Realm.
Thus, the entire giant dragon was returned to the Dream Realm.
Finally, Rod extracted the piece of Star Source.
It was housed within a crystal container, half-empty, having apparently evaporated over the long years. The remaining two segments of Star Source were sent back to the Dream Realm.
Rod’s heart surged with joy; the gains far exceeded expectations.
He leaped out of the hill, swiftly scouring the area.
As anticipated, within each hill lay a dragon’s corpse.
This was indeed the dragon’s graveyard.
However, not every dragon grave contained a Dragon Heart; some graves were empty, and others held already corrupted dragon corpses.
Only when alerted by both the Heavenly Sphere Clock and the Prison Spirit was there a dragon grave with both Dragon Heart and Star Source.
These dragon tombs were rare, about one in twenty.
And in this area, there were over three hundred dragon tombs.
What Rod found were all Giant Dragon Hearts, none of the Dragon King’s Heart.
One hundred Giant Dragon Hearts are needed to craft one Demon Dragon’s Heart.
Not enough.
Far from enough.
Unconvinced, Rod opened every dragon grave, only adding a few battles to his tally.
The corrupted dragons were of high Strength, but not too difficult for him.
However, slaying a corrupted dragon yielded only ash, bone ash, and a soul; the rewards paled compared to an intact dragon.
Rod stood at the center of the dragon graves, deep in thought.
Just then, the Book of the Future suddenly spoke: "Master, why not take a look in the Spirit Realm?"
Rod, struck by an idea, turned back to the Spirit Realm.
This time, he observed much more meticulously.
Soon, he sensed the tremor of the Prison Spirit amidst a cloud of Mist.
This was a Sealing!
Rod excitedly stretched out his hands, and the explosive Spiritual Energy cleared the entire Mist.
Indeed, within the Mist appeared a colossal sealed crystal, filled entirely with fresh Dragon Hearts.
At this moment, Rod felt only exuberant joy. A single glance revealed at least two hundred Dragon Hearts!
Coupled with those previously gathered, this could likely produce three Demon Dragon’s Hearts!
This was simply too wonderful!
I can finally prepare a feast with the hard-to-get Dragon King’s heart!
Filled with boundless anticipation, Rod sent all the Dragon Hearts back to the Dream Realm.
After ensuring nothing was overlooked, he returned to the Royal City.
—
Royal City.
Botanical Garden.
Under the Holy White Tree, Bossivale placed the final material needed for the True King Ceremony at the designated spot.
The inconspicuous ritual pattern suddenly filled with majestic energy, as if one end of the ceremony connected to the infinite Starry Sky.
Bossivale finally smiled.
"The True King Ceremony, completed!"
