Chapter 1483: Chapter 711: Infinite Power

As the light descended, the ritual had already crumbled, leaving only scorched traces and web-like cracks on the earth.

The once lush green lawn had turned into gray ash, which dispersed completely with a gentle breeze.

The six monarchs and the thirteen rulers of the Ash Thrones were utterly exhausted, yet they couldn’t help but lift their heads eagerly.

In mid-air, a massive sphere of light swiftly contracted, gathering into a human figure.

As that person stepped out of the light, an incredibly powerful aura radiated outwards. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

In that instant, the black fog weighing down upon the land completely receded, revealing a clear sky. People, accustomed to oppression, suddenly found release, feeling as if they were embracing the boundless heavens.

The Holy Fire blazed grandly, and infinite golden light inundated the entire Royal City.

Even the commoners in the Lower City District knew something major was happening in the Royal City. Countless people kneeled to pray for the fire’s protection, silently reciting heroic names, one special name being most frequent.

And within this golden light and clear sky, the King stepped through air, coming before them.

The King seemed unchanged in appearance, yet everyone knew their King was now entirely different. His soul flickered with an unusual light, giving off a distinctly different feeling, like a higher-level existence.

Apart from this, they felt nothing – no vast spiritual energy, no terrifying field; the strong aura quickly subsided, like a deep pool hiding unknown depths.

Except for the six monarchs.

Only they could sense a hint of that astonishing power.

It was a power entirely different from any monster or strong figures they had encountered before, a power akin to that of the God of Contaminated Blood.

The power of a God.

Suddenly, Bossivale and Evela wept aloud.

"Wonderful, it’s truly wonderful... Pope, Takxis, Mod, do you see? We finally have a power that can rival the Blood God."

"We will surely have our revenge, humanity will definitely rise, along with your share."

Horus smiled through tears, choking back emotion: "The days of humanity being oppressed are gone forever."

Olivia rubbed her eyes: "We’ve finally stood up."

Kai’s eyes were full of comfort: "This is our King."

Only Rod felt both happy and disappointed, a flash of golden light crossing his eyes.

Assist in the birth of the True King, Divinity +1

If it wasn’t a time for universal celebration, Rod would have cursed.

The birth of a True King, and just one point of divinity?

Am I that useless? I did work hard, why is that?

The Book of Knowledge seemed very annoyed too: "There must be something wrong with your King, this doesn’t make sense."

Asa cursed: "That idiot Ark is just useless, he’s supposedly the leader of Evil Intent, but if it were me, I’d at least give the master an increase of 100 points of divinity."

Rod gave him a sideways glance, deciding not to comment on his words.

Since the battle against the Black Fog Demon, the Book of Knowledge’s attitude towards it had noticeably improved, even willing to ask it about Evil Intent:

"Asa, why can Ark control the Sea of Source?"

Asa sneered:

"Controlling it, my ass. If he could control the Sea of Source, he would have killed us all. What he controls is the pollution within the Sea of Source, the Black Fog has already invaded the Sea of Source, and the invisible formless Source Law is being corrupted. The whirlpool formed by the ’water flow’ is indirectly formed by affecting the Source Law through pollution... It’s absolutely useless, just a waste of power."

"If I were the leader of Evil Intent, I’d knock off the ’reef’ formed by the Primordial Spirit Power, letting the pressure of the Sea of Source unite, elevating to fight against the entire Sea of Source. Let’s see how he would then ascend to a True King?"

Rod frowned and asked: "Asa, then why doesn’t he do that?"

Asa’s tone was filled with deep resentment:

"Because he’s dumb. This guy relies on waking up earlier than us when Evil Intent formed, taking the opportunity to devour Evil Intent wildly, eventually becoming one of the three major leaders of Evil Intent. He’s arrogant, conceited, bossy, and constantly threatens to eat us up to make us comply with his orders. Ultimately, he wants to monopolize the credit for the Supreme Will’s awakening so he can become the supreme Divine Envoy beside the Unique True God."

It was the first time Rod heard Asa speak of these things, and he asked in surprise: "What does this mean?"

Asa explained: "Master, last time in the Abyss, when I tore off a piece of Ark’s Evil Intent, I’ve completely digested it, and I’ve remembered more things. Besides being bewitched by the Supreme Will, there’s another significant factor influencing us."

"Legend has it that when the Supreme Will awakens, it will resurrect all existences from millennia ago, creating a new epoch where all survive in the Black Fog. In this epoch, countless legendary existences live in a new Black Fog form, and those unable to adapt will be eliminated."

"The Supreme Will is the Unique True God of this Black Fog Era. If one achieves great merit during its awakening, they can become the supreme Divine Envoy of the Unique True God. Therefore, among us Evil Intent, it’s not peaceful either. I refused to accept the rule of the three major leaders of Evil Intent back then, becoming a solitary Evil Intent, lurking in darkness, ready to destroy humanity while also hunting and devouring Evil Intent."
