The Last King Of Darkness-Chapter 1540 - 731: Breaking the Evil Intent_2
His words were exchanged in the manner of evil thoughts, unheard by others, but it was clear that Ark was already on the brink of madness.
Viheler decided to add fuel to the fire: "How did the Divine Envoy die? You surely know, right? Can you tell me? We want to make him a human hero."
Ark shouted fiercely: "No, the Divine Envoy isn’t dead, he can’t possibly fall! The Dark Emblem is just a form of communication; its shattering doesn’t prove anything. The true core of the Divine Envoy is his heart; as long as the heart remains intact, he won’t fall. The cracking of the Dark Emblem must mean something went wrong; once I regain contact with the Divine Envoy, it will be your day of destruction, wahahaha!"
Space suddenly tore open with a massive rift amidst his mad laughter, and an azure figure stood within, tossing out a shattered crystal.
"If you mean this."
A gentle voice emerged from within the rift, a voice infinitely familiar.
"Then it’s already destroyed."
Luo Weiya immediately recognized the owner of the voice: "Alan!"
Rod turned his head and saw that familiar figure standing on the far side of the rift, donned in azure armor, wielding the Holy White Great Sword, Radiant Large Shield strapped to his back, and the Indestructible Rainbow Light at his waist. Lightweight yet powerful spiritual energy swirled around him, and beneath his feet lay a heap of skeletal remains, even if a mere fragment, it suggested an even larger whole.
Jelaba exclaimed joyfully: "Alan, weren’t you in the Royal City? Has your Fire Spark No. 21’s Space Ability already crossed such great distance?"
Viheler sneered: "You big fool, are you dumb? Alan obviously isn’t in the Royal City."
Alan chuckled faintly: "Iyeta sensed you had some trouble and sent me to eliminate this source of threat."
"Impossible!"
Ark’s voice grew piercingly sharp.
"Absolutely impossible!"
"This must be false! How could you defeat the Divine Envoy of Supreme Will? No one can resist the divine power of Supreme Will; the Divine Envoy is invincible, and you would have no way to find him!"
Viheler laughed coldly: "When will your madness be cured? I can hardly believe such ridiculous evil thoughts created havoc for the historically stronger humans."
Asa spoke coldly: "Don’t overestimate this fool, throughout countless millennia, he’s died innumerable times and reincarnated countless times. In front of those great beings, he’s as laughable as dust, and his few successes have only come amidst calamities when humanity faced great crises or in times without true strength."
Ark roared furiously: "The divine power of Supreme Will can shield all prophecies! Even if the Divine Envoy’s body is weak, he can’t possibly locate the Divine Envoy!"
Viheler sneered: "Don’t forget we also wield the White Tower, a real Divine Artifact brought back by the great hero Trolian. You simply cannot fathom its potency, and the new Master of White Tower, Iyeta, is a rare Great Prophet! What makes you think they couldn’t locate him?"
"No!"
Ark repeated his previous words.
"This is impossible, absolutely impossible; it’s all fake! You’re deceiving me! The great Ark, never to be duped!"
He raised his right hand high, sending a bizarre spiritual communication breaking through the sky.
"Hahahahaha, didn’t expect this, did you? Alan, since you’re here, doesn’t that mean there’s no one guarding the Royal City? When the Abyss erupts again, what will you do?"
Alan eyed him and replied coolly: "Looks like I won’t be stepping into the Great Dragon City battlefield."
Jelaba urged anxiously: "Alan, can your Fire Spark No. 21 teleport such distance?"
Alan shook his head slightly.
"No."
He raised the Holy White Great Sword, and before him, the spatial rift began to shrink, while new spatial ripples shimmered at the sword’s tip.
"My Fire Spark isn’t as strong as Rod’s, unable to span too far, nor ignore the positional disparity; I need to use it ten times to return to the Royal City."
"So, it’s up to you here. I’ll go back to defend the Royal City."
Swoosh!
The flicker of the sword erased the old spatial rift and ushered in a new one.
The battlefield returned to calm once more.
"You bunch of idiots, bastards, doomed insects, I’ll make you regret..."
Ark looked utterly deranged, his words now incoherent, filled only with profanity and curses.
Rod suddenly sent a spiritual message saying: "Viheler, quickly shout back at him, provoke him, don’t let him stop."
Viheler understood, and opened with: "Ark, I heard you evil thoughts love to eat dung, is it true? Can you open your mouth? I’d like to offer you the freshest portion as a tribute to your contributions towards humanity."
A tenfold intensification of curses and explosive insults rang out, Viheler and Ark fought back and forth in heated argument.
Above.
Rod suddenly spoke to the King: "King, can you hold for ten seconds?"
The King smiled lightly: "Go ahead."
The next moment, white mist instantly shrouded the body of the God of Giants; though much larger than it used to be, the Spirit Boat still assembled in an instant and moved Rod’s body to the highest speed.
The vast Spirit Realm Ship pierced through the sky, rushing to the battlefield’s edge at unimaginable speed, where, in a dimly lit hillside, Rod struck with a punch.
"Got you, Ark!"
Boom!
Dust and earth soared, breaking the ground solidified by spiritual energy.
A black silhouette was grasped in Rod’s hand, looking very mundane, resembling an average person.
Yet Rod was utterly certain he was the leader of the evil thoughts, Ark.
"Asa!"
Rod shouted, and Asa promptly returned to the Dream Realm, reappearing in his hand.
"Hahaha, Ark, didn’t expect this day to arrive so soon!"
He laughed wildly as he encircled Ark’s soul; the evil thought war began instantly.
Only this way could Ark be stopped from escaping.
"What are you doing? Are you seeking death?"
Ark shrieked miserably.
"How could you be stronger after swallowing a few evil thoughts?"
Asa laughed coldly: "Don’t you know the strength of my new master? While I may falter in an evil thought war against you, my master will help me prevail."
With those words, Asa plunged straight into Ark’s soul, and the direst evil thought war commenced.
Rod lavishly deployed a Colorful Dream on Asa, continuously bombarding Ark’s soul with spiritual power shock.
Yet these methods seemed unable to bridge the gap of evil thoughts.
Asa quickly fell behind in the evil thought war, but as long as Rod chose to, he could ensure Asa’s victory in every battle against evil thoughts.
However, just as Rod was poised to employ a second method to assist Asa, Ark abruptly cut off a portion of his soul, freeing himself from the evil thought war.
"Trying to run?"
Rod swung his palm, but Ark transformed into countless transparent ripples, dissipating into the air.
"Hmm?"
Rod furrowed his brow; under his perception and Spiritual Vision, Ark had completely vanished, neither merging into the Spirit Realm, Void, nor entering any form of Plane, disappearing like a phantom.
"What’s going on? Asa?"
Asa consumed a substantial piece of soul left behind and expressed regret: "He ran off; that guy reacted too fast, immediately sliced off the infringed soul and scattered into the Sea of Source."
"Sea of Source? Are you saying he became a shapeless, formless existence, like those quantized Source Laws?" Rod asked in surprise.
"Yes, master, it seems he has mastered considerable evil thought abilities. We’ve failed to seize him twice now, but don’t worry, one day he’ll be completely devoured by me."
Rod didn’t feel too regretful; he swept his large hand, clearing away all surrounding evil thoughts. The less fortunate ones were all captured within the flashing spiritual energy.
"Asa, I’m leaving them to you."
Asa sneered at the evil thoughts before him: "Rest assured, master, I’m going to delight myself."
Rod then mounted the Spirit Boat, instantaneously returning to the battlefield, rejoining the battle against the Ancient Gods.
