The Lustful Villain: Every Milfs and Gilfs are Mine!-Chapter 43. The Most Profitable Near-Death Experience in History
The first thing Rex noticed as he slowly woke up was... PAIN.
It wasn’t the sharp, immediate pain he felt when the Goblin King’s axe hit him, but it was more like a dull, all-over ache that seemed to come from every part of his body.
His shoulder hurt where he had taken the first hit to protect Diana, his back felt like it had been ripped apart and poorly put back together, and even doing the most human thing, like breathing, hurt his ribs.
"Grrgghhh... fucking hell," Rex thought as he woke up. "Remember... even when you change the damage, getting hit with big axes still hurts so fucking bad."
"It better be worth it in the future because I’ll fucking remember this moment for the rest of my life..." Rex tried to open his eyes, but they were heavy and didn’t want to work with him. "Ah yeah... I almost fucked up."
"Lily... Diana... Helena... Evelyn... better prepare yourself because the pain in my body will only be healed fully with all of your bodies." Rex already holds the grudge when the pain keeps getting to him.
After a few tries, his eyelids finally opened, showing him a ceiling that he didn’t recognize right away. He saw wooden beams, a simple building, and a single lantern hanging from a hook, emitting a warm, flickering light.
Rex realized that he was in a room at the inn, and it seemed like someone carried him all the way here. "Huh... at least I’m back here at my checkpoint."
Rex slowly turned his head, wincing because his neck muscles were hurting, and stopped when he saw Lily.
Lily was fast asleep on the floor next to his bed, her head resting on the mattress near his hand. Rex noticed the lines of dried tears on her cheeks, but her face appeared calm in slumber.
Her hand was outstretched toward him, and her fingers barely touched his arm, as if she had fallen asleep while holding onto him.
"Well," Rex thought, "what an adorable girl... I can’t believe she’s going to stay there, waiting for me to wake up."
"She’s really a good girl after all... I’ll reward her properly soon." Rex smirks when he is about to do something to her.
But then... the door opened quietly, and Mara came in with a basin of water and clean rags. When she saw Rex’s open eyes, she froze.
"A-Ahh...!" Her own eyes went wide with shock and relief.
"R-Rex," she said, breathing heavily as she put the basin down so quickly that water spilled over the sides. "You’re... awake!"
Mara showed a genuine smiles after knowing that Rex was alive and well, "Thank Goodness...! You’re awake!"
She crossed the room in three quick steps and threw her arms around him, burying her face in his neck before he could say anything. He could feel wetness on his skin and her whole body shaking, which told him she was crying.
Mara whispered fiercely, "I thought I’d lost you..."
She wrapped her arms around him tightly, even though he was hurt. "When they brought you back... there was so much blood!"
"You wouldn’t wake up, and I... I thought..."
Knowing Mara acted like that made Rex can’t hide his smile at all, "You’d think I’ll just die like that...? Oh please, don’t make me laugh."
Rex put his good arm around her, even though it hurt, and he thinks this was a big deal. This was Mara being completely open with her feelings, showing her full devotion and attachment that couldn’t be faked.
The innkeeper, once cold and distant, had vanished from his presence. There was a woman there who had been scared of losing someone she really needed.
Rex said softly, "Alright, alright, I’m okay now," and he ran his hand through her hair. "But... it still hurts like hell, even though I’m totally fine."
"A giant goblin can’t kill me, like I said."
Mara pulled back just enough to see his face; her hands were on his cheeks. "Don’t ever do something that dumb again, do you hear me?!"
"Don’t you dare put yourself in a dangerous situation like that without any experience of fighting a monster!"
"Nope. I saved people, including the hero and his family. That’s not dumb." Rex loathed himself for saying that, but he still wanted to earn Mara’s trust.
"It’s dumb when you almost die doing it," Mara said, her voice full of emotion. "I don’t care about heroes or their families!"
"I only care about you!"
It was everything Rex had worked for to hear her say that. Rex could hear the possessiveness in her voice, the raw need. Mara was completely his, devoted to him beyond reason, and willing to put him above everything else, even her own husband.
Rex laughed inside his mind. "HAHAHA! I can’t fucking believe she just said that... she really wants me only, huh?"
"Alright," Rex said, bringing her close again. "I know, and I’m sorry I scared you, but I’m here now, and I’m not going anywhere."
"C’mere..." Rex brings her face closed just to kiss her lips, and Mara closes both her eyes to enjoy it.
They stayed like that for what felt like an eternity, with Mara clinging to him as if she feared he would vanish if she let go. With each passing moment, the kiss grew increasingly passionate, and Mara, as always, couldn’t help but let out soft moans.
Finally, after being satisfied with the erotic kiss, she pulled away and wiped her eyes.
"You need to eat something after waking up from that," she said, her instincts as an innkeeper coming back. "Helena said your injuries were bad, but you’d get better with rest and good care."
"I made porridge for you, which is easy on your stomach."
"Phew~! That sounds great. Go get it for me, Mara." Rex ordered.
"Okay, wait for a sec." Mara nodded and turned to get the porridge she had brought.
"Time to check on something first..." Rex pulled up his system interface with a thought.
[RECOVERY STATUS]
[INJURIES: MODERATE, HEALING NORMALLY]
[TELEKINETIC PRESSURE MAINTAINING WOUND STABILITY]
[ESTIMATED FULL RECOVERY: 3-4 DAYS WITH REST]
Perfect, like he wanted, where his gambit had worked perfectly. The injuries looked severe but weren’t actually life-threatening thanks to his careful control during the attack.
"Tonight I really need to grind more desire energy, and it seems like I could pull up with something soon." Rex held his chin. "Foresight and Infinite Regeneration sounds good enough for me to be the strongest."
But more importantly...
[DESIRE LEVEL UPDATES]
[HELENA VON STARLIGHT: 40/100]
[INCREASE: +18 POINTS]
[STATUS: DEEPLY GRATEFUL, MATERNAL AFFECTION DEVELOPING]
"Maternal affection...? Holy fucking shit, now that... was a good one that I can’t wait to enjoy it myself!"
[DIANA VON STARLIGHT: 20/100]
[INCREASE: +12 POINTS]
[STATUS: RESPECT ESTABLISHED, ATTRACTION BEGINNING]
"She’s going to be next after I’m done with Lily..."

[STATUS: DEVOTION NEAR MAXIMUM, EMOTIONAL DEPENDENCY COMPLETE]
"I can see that..."
[EVELYN ASTRALIGHT: 15/100]
[INCREASE: +9 POINTS]
[STATUS: TRUST ESTABLISHED, GRATITUDE SIGNIFICANT]
Rex had to hold back a smile and laugh. The Goblin King incident had been worth every bit of pain.
In just one afternoon, Helena’s score went from 22 to 40 percent. Diana’s score had more than doubled from where she started.
Evelyn, who was the hardest person to get to know, had finally started to respect him, allowing him to approach her without worrying about raising any suspicion.
And Lily... she was at 90% desire, and she only needed ten more points to reach her maximum, which would make her another devoted energy source for his desire manifestation system.
"Just fucking wait, Elliot... I’ll make sure all your family members are mine." When Rex was just about to laugh like a maniac, but then...
"Here," Mara said, coming back with a bowl of hot porridge.
She sat on the edge of the bed and took a spoonful. "Let me help you."
Rex said, "I can feed myself," in a mild protest.
"I know you can, but... let me do this anyway." Her eyes begged him for help, not because of his injuries, but because she needed to take care of him and feel useful.
"Heh... this woman..."
