Chapter 103: Chapter 103

*Leonora*

I gracefully bowed as I got up from my seat, hand in hand with Jax. The dinner with the elites of the pack went well to my knowledge. They were quite happy that Jax had finally mated with me. They mostly just talked business, which I didn’t understand but Jax told me I didn’t need to worry about that.

Queens usually focused on pack activities, at least that was what I was told. That meant that I would have to take on the responsibility of managing the people in the pack. It also helped that I used to be a kitchen volunteer. It felt like such a long time ago since I worked in the kitchen.

"Baby, can you give me a few minutes to talk to our guests." He said as he whispered in my ear. "Wait for me at the balcony." He said and I knew where he wanted me to go to. I nodded and gave him a kiss on his cheek before leaving. I made my way over to the spare room, locking the door behind me. I didn’t want anyone to randomly walk into the room.

I took off my jacket and dropped it on the bed. I looked down on my belly and there was a very small bump. It wasn’t noticeable to other people but it was noticeable to me. I rubbed it lightly and smiled.

I was finally having a baby.

It was so crazy that I was beating myself up for not being pregnant but here I was carrying a child. My very own baby. I couldn’t stop myself from smiling. This was the best gift the goddess had granted onto me.

I walked out to the balcony and sat there staring at the compound. There were a few guards patrolling and it was a bit quiet. By this time, Bethany and I would have been having our lunch break but those days were behind us now. We were now a part of the elites, in a way.

I heard a knock on the door and I walked back to the room. I picked up my jacket and wore it making sure to cover my body. I opened the door and Jax walked in. I locked the door and he immediately swept me off my feet, literally.

"Put me down." I shouted but he carried me over to the balcony and sat down. "I’m not getting up again." I said and he nodded. I took off my jacket and threw it to the other side of the couch.

"Can I feel it?" He asked and I nodded. His big hand immediately went to my belly. He lifted my tank top a bit and rubbed his palm over my stomach. There was no movement yet as the baby hadn’t fully formed but the feeling was nice.

"Can you touch my belly every day? I really like it." I suggested with a small smile and he returned the smile back. "Have you thought about names?

"Jack or maybe Paul." He offered and I scrunched my nose. It sounded so weird, Paul. I don’t think I would like that.

"You don’t even know if it’s going to be a boy or a girl. I want a girl. I’ll dress her like me everyday." I said as I wrapped my arms around Jax’s shoulders. "I will take her shopping and we would have mother daughter dates every day."

"Then what about me?" Jax asked with a pout. I kissed his pouted lips and he chuckled. "I want a boy. We would go for training every day. He will be a strong warrior."

"Weirdly, I want my children to live in the human world. I don’t know. I know it’s wrong to think like that but most of the elites live there." I said to Jax and he sighed. I honestly didn’t know how the pack ran with most of the elite living outside of it.

"They work to keep this place running. Someone in my family, maybe grand father or great grandfather, started a company. It helped to generate money and the elites saw it as an opportunity." He started. "I am the owner and CEO of the company so they all work for me."

"Wow, and you never talked about it. You know, I tried looking for an elite when I left with Noah. I couldn’t find anyone to help me so I stayed on my own." I confessed.

"They are not out and about." He said. "Like Micah, for example, he’s lives remotely and has a small pack."

"Oh wow. I didn’t know about that." I pointed out. "Would you ever consider moving out of the pack?"

"Maybe when we’re old and our children are running the pack." He said and I nodded. "How many kids do you want?"

"Maybe two. Two girls like Bethany and I. I miss Bethany and her cookies. I really want to eat some cookies right now. Maybe even some sushi. But I don’t want fish. I want something sweet like ice cream. Oh, I want ice cream."

"How did we get from babies to food." Jax said as he laughed. "Okay, I’ll text Micah to send some cookies and ice cream. I’m not sure if there’s any in the fridge."

"Don’t stress yourself. I’m not so hungry yet. When I’m hungry, I’ll let you know. Besides we just had dinner." I said cheekily, pinching his cheeks.

"Okay my baby. I’ll go and get it later before we sleep." He said as he nuzzles his head into my shoulder. "We could have a little movie night. Eat junks and watch one of your sad soap operas."

"They are not sad. They just make me emotional and this baby makes me cry so much." I pouted.

"You’ve been crying like crazy. I really can’t wait for this baby to come. I’ll take over night duties so you can have the whole night to rest."

"What about your meetings?" I asked and he shrugged. "You know you’re the one that has meeting every morning."

Jax’s phone buzzed in his pocket. He quickly took it out and held the phone to his ear.

"Wait, what?!"
