I woke up to Jax’s hands holding onto me in my sleep. It felt surreal that we were here, staying so close but then again, we had agreed to stay together and work on ourselves.

He had tried to assure me last night that there was no reason for me to ever worry about him and Claire or any other girl got that matter.

I loved this new side of Jax. I brushed the hair off his face and looked at his scar. I don’t know why he hid the scar because it didn’t look bad one but. In fact, he looked good with it but I could also understand that it was a memory of his brother. The same brother that was in a dungeon.

I placed a kiss on his eyebrows hoping he wouldn’t just wake up and ask me what I was doing. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

"Good morning to you too." I heard him say as he pulled me closer until his head was placed on my chest. He placed little kisses on my cleavage and I smiled. "Did you sleep well?"

"Yeah. I really missed sleeping next to you." I said as he pulled the collar of my shirt, almost exposing my breast to the cold air. "What are you doing?" I asked and he looked up at me with a cheeky smile.

"I heard if a man suck your nipples first thing in the morning, he’ll grow stronger. You don’t want me to be strong?" He asked teasingly and I rolled my eyes. I knew what he was trying to do but I wasn’t that interested.

"You are already strong as it is." I said as I lifted the collar of my shirt. It wasn’t exactly my shirt as it was Jax’s but it was mine now because I wasn’t going to give it back. I liked the feel of the shirt and it was big and comfortable.

He moved until he hovered over me with his mouth directly on my breasts. He leaned up and placed a kiss on my forehead. "You look beautiful." He complimented me as he climbed off me and headed to the bathroom. I couldn’t tell if he had another agenda or he just wanted to kiss me and tease me.

I climbed off the bed and quickly went ahead to make the bed. By the time I was done, Jax walked back into the room. "What are you planning to do today?"

I honestly didn’t have any plans but I wasn’t going to make him think I was really jobless or something.

"Yeah, Bethany and I were going to look at her options for me. We were supposed to do it yesterday but I had to make dinner." I lied and he pouted.

"I wanted us to hangout with Claire and Bethany." That seemed so weird. Claire, Bethany and I in the same space, trying to have fun? It seemed like a disaster waiting to happen. I didn’t hate Claire so much but I knew how she felt about me and also the issue with her and Jax, I wouldn’t surprised if she still had a grudge over that. The worst part it that I would have to still put up with her whether I like it or not. She was Jax’s best friend and there was nothing I could do about it.

"We definitely can. After my work with Bethany, we can all hang out." I said and he walked up to me, grabbing my face. He kissed me like his life depended on it. As he pulled away, I took a deep breath causing him to smile.

"You’re so beautiful and so precious. Thank you . I know you don’t like her and I’ve given you reasons not to trust me but I’m really grateful that you are giving me another chance." He said as he placed kisses around my face. He finally let’s go of me and the smile on my face was not going anywhere.

"I have to go and get ready for the day. Where should we meet up?" I asked and he looked away, most likely thinking of a venue for this hangout.

"We can meet up in the movie room. We could watch a movie or something." He said and I nodded. "Thank you so much."

"It’s no problem. Let me go and get ready." I said as I walked out of his room.

Bethany and I walked together to the movie room. I was anticipating what Jax had planned and I was hoping it wouldn’t be a disaster. I prayed in my mind that Claire would try her best to be decent about it. I really wanted to give her a chance because she was Jax’s best friend and I didn’t want her to ever come in between us. If Jax says that there is nothing going on, I am meant to believe him, trust him even.

"Hey, Leonora. Can we talk for a minute?" Claire asked me as she walked up to us. I was lost in my thought that I didn’t notice her. Bethany walked away from us leaving Claire and I alone. "I’m really sorry for everything. I know how much Jax cares about you and I’m sorry for coming in between that."

"It’s okay." I said, not wanting to have the conversation while Jax was waiting for us.

"It’s not okay. I am possessive of Jax because he’s like family to me and I realized that I was hurting you in the process. I will take a step back and give you guys some space." She said and I gave her a small smile. "I’m honestly sorry and I’ll try and make it up to you."

"It’s not a problem." I started. "You can make it up by telling me all the funny stories about Jax, when he was little."

She took my hand and pulled me towards the direction of the movie room. "There is so much to tell you, I wouldn’t even know where to begin."
