The Record Of Barton's Fantastical Events-Chapter 131 - IV Final Chapter Grande
Chapter 131: IV Final Chapter Grande
Benjamin’s truck left Highway 27 and followed the moonlight into the path before the Grande Funeral Home The Grande’s two brothers leaned on the backrests. Zach’s eyes moved with the sign of Grande Funeral Home, which gradually moved upwards and reflected a faint silver halo, until the bottom of the small print also moved past the roof of the truck and could no longer be seen.
Zach looked at the Grande Funeral Home that became more and more clear in the view, his mood was delicately balanced by the two emotions.
Crowlie compromised, but the fallen angel who carried the glory of the past could not fully accept the Grande lifestyle. However, at least she made the first step – to let those members of the ‘choir’, which could’ve been sent to hell today, live the rest of their lives peacefully.
Why was there a quotation mark on the word choir? Because, among this group of people, Zach knew some of them. The first thing that every nonhuman did whenever they arrived in a new city was to understand the composition of the city. What the vampire and the werewolf were most concerned about in the past was the Gale family, but now that the Gale family had left, it left with those people.
Crowlie acted pretty very quickly to gather those people.
When the truck parked in the backyard, Benjamin had already seen the warehouse he built turned into a pile of debris. Among the stones, broken wooden pieces, and debris from Grande’s old cemetery in the Western District, a scarlet tail was inserted on the side. The Great Dane lay on the side spiritless, and when it saw the two come back, it blinked and continued to look at his tail in a daze.
The rest of the Grande’s members sat in a line on the Grande’s back porch, holding each other’s hand. They didn’t have any wounds on their bodies, but everyone looked pale and leaned against each other weakly. Seeing the two come back, they only showed a look of grievance, but it seemed that everyone was too tired to stand up to welcome them back. 𝑓𝐫𝑒e𝒘𝚎𝘣𝚗𝘰𝘷𝐞𝑙.co𝑚
Benjamin carried a few boxes of pizza and walked to them. He sat down on the back porch, the pizza was placed beside him. The werewolf wiped his hands on his body a few times casually, opened a box, took a slice, and passed it to Matthew, who was completely lying on his lap. Matthew sniffed, took a piece, and continued to pass the box to Hank. Hank took two pieces before handing it to Alice. Alice took one piece and handed it to Louise. Louise opened the box completely and looked at Zach.
Zach sat beside Louise with a smile, and the pizza box was placed on their laps. Of course, only Louise was eating. The Great Dane got up, shook its body, and walked over. Then it lay in front of a row of people.
When all the pizza boxes beside Benjamin were passed on and piled up on Zach’s side, Zach clapped his hands, smiled, and said, “Everyone is exhausted today. Please take a good rest.”
Matthew regained some strength but still staggered towards the bike that had fallen down beside Benjamin’s warehouse.
“You can take a rest here today. Just tell your family.” Benjamin patted the young wolf on the shoulder.
“Oh.” Matthew nodded, and honestly followed the others, and walked to the stairwell of Grande Funeral Home.
After everyone went back to rest, colorful light appeared in the air like streaming fireflies. They rotated and gathered, and a translucent face that Zach had seen before appeared in the backyard of the Grande.
Daniel’s feet touched the ground, and his body dropped weakly. He looked up at the vampire and the werewolf, not knowing what was waiting for him.
“Finally.” Zach smiled and stretched out his hand to support the staggering Tulpa. “The person who has been hiding in the Grande Funeral Home for so long is finally willing to show up in front of the owner.”
Daniel did not feel the drag from Zach’s palm. This was a gesture of kindness. He said apologetically, “Did you guys know it already?”
Zach shook his head helplessly, and looked at the collapsed warehouse behind, “No, we only found out today.”
The apologetic look in Daniel’s eyes was heavier, and he thought for a while, “Have you met with the owner of the Hellhounds?”
“Her name is Crowlie.” Zach said, “She won’t be hunting you anymore, you will be safe.” Zach’s eyes twitched, “If you abandon your original identity and stay at the Grande Funeral Home.”
Daniel was puzzled.
“The demon gave up on hunting you, but unfortunately, I didn’t know that you could run away for so long.” Zach’s tone was very sincere and surprised, and then his expression became a little weird, “Just today I kinda told a very controlling person that you will take responsibility for the disappearance and the mental disorder of his relatives.” Zach glanced at the werewolf and found that the werewolf was stretching lazily with an inexplicable smile.
Daniel’s eyes flashed several times. A body like his really couldn’t conceal any emotions. The colorful stream of light was flowing quickly in his body. When the colorful light faded away, he smiled and said, “I am fine with staying in Barton.” 𝑓𝔯𝑒e𝘸e𝘣𝓷𝘰ѵe𝚕.c૦𝙢
Zach nodded, the Grande had one more member now, but he didn’t mind it. Originally, when he got the list from James, he already had this plan, but he didn’t want to do it too obviously lest it would expose Grande, “You need to recover, go to rest.”
The Tulpa turned into a streamer of light and disappeared in the air, Zach turned his head and looked at Jim who was still lying on the back porch. Jim blinked and stood up slowly, the muscles on his body began to squirm, and the bones regrouped to form a new body with soft clicks.
Zach needed to know everything. Even if it was just a simple act of trying to gain more bargaining chip by the demon, the vampire still needed to know the details to decide whether his attitude towards Crowlie would be harsh, slightly harsh, or very harsh.
‘James’ stood naked on the back porch. He held the porch pillar with one hand and pressed his trembling legs with the other. “You can put away whatever the thoughts you have in your head at the moment.” Jim looked at Zach with James’ eyes, “Your problem is not the demon named Cloli, but from inside the Grande.”
“Crowlie.” Zach frowned and corrected Jim’s pronunciation, but his attention was indeed attracted by Jim.
The door on the back porch was pushed away, and Louise looked at the naked person in surprise, “Jam- Oh, is it Jim?”
Jim nodded.
Louise looked away and retreated into the door, revealing only a pair of eyes shrouded in black in the dark. This was the characteristic of the listlessness of a wounded soul, apart from having a good rest, there was no other good way. The blood of the vampire could only play a counterproductive role at this time, it would continue to exhaust the soul, causing permanent damage.
“Zach, Mrs. Quinn called. It was regarding the joint burial. She wanted to do it in three days, and she wanted me to let you know.” Louise was only wearing pajamas. It seemed like she only remembered it after she had already lie down.
Zach nodded, “Mhm, go and take a good rest.”
Louise nodded behind the dark door and left.
Benjamin was originally going to go back to the warehouse to rest, but after hearing Jim’s words, he turned around. The vampire beckoned to Jim and walked to the truck with the werewolf. Jim slowly followed behind and got into the truck.
When the truck left Grande Funeral Home again and headed to the cemetery in the Western District, Jim leaned in the back seat and began to speak without emotion.
“I was hungry, I went to the kitchen, I heard Alice’s cry, I saw Ryan used witchcraft on Alice, and…”
