The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 191 - 188: One-Flavor True Fire Talisman!
*Damn it!*
With a fierce shout, Blue-Eyed Wolf yanked off his headset and smashed it on the ground. His legs, which had sprinted across nearly the entire world, now propelled him forward in a wild, breakneck dash. Beneath the night sky, he leaped and bounded like a shooting star, leaving a trail of afterimages as he fled the Half Mountain Villa District.
Think you can run? Sensing Blue-Eyed Wolf’s frantic escape with his Divine Sense, Qin Fan chuckled leisurely.
He lowered his head and activated his Eyes of Golden Flame, unleashing a lethal golden light upon the last squad member in his grasp.
"No, no, no! Don’t kill me! No!" It was too late for the squad member to dodge the golden light bursting from Qin Fan’s Eyes of Golden Flame. A piercing, hysterical scream erupted from his mouth as tears of blood streamed from his eyes. Amidst this gruesome scene, Qin Fan simply ignored the man’s agonized pleas, the corners of his mouth curving into a slight smile.
The light from his Eyes of Golden Flame intensified. Under that unblinking stare, the man’s blood-drenched eyes made a soft popping sound before they burst.
In that same instant, Qin Fan stuffed two Talismans into the man’s clothes and deftly dodged the gore that splattered from his ruined eye sockets.
Casting one last sinister glance at the man, whose howls were beginning to fade, Qin Fan started to walk away. He only took three steps before stopping abruptly.
He slowly turned to face the direction of No. 1 Villa and formed a peculiar hand seal. His eyes closed. Three breaths later, they snapped open again as the robust Pure Essence True Qi within him surged violently.
Pointing the hand seal toward the twenty squad members he had slaughtered, he stomped his right foot. As a silent chant fueled by his True Qi concluded, Qin Fan gave a sharp cry, "One-Flavor True Fire Talisman, go!"
FSSSH!
Following his command, a faint crackle of ignition was heard. In the next moment, twenty golden flames erupted and soared into the air! Silently and without any smell, the flames burned. Three minutes later, Blue-Eyed Wolf’s twenty elite mercenaries had been reduced to ash and scattered by the wind.
Good thing this is Late Stage One-Flavor True Fire. Otherwise, it would have taken a lot more effort to incinerate these scumbags. Qin Fan thought, shaking his head with a hint of dissatisfaction. Back on the Cangqiong Continent, his formidable Cultivation could produce Samadhi True Fire, which would have turned these bodies to ash in the blink of an eye. This three-minute wait was something he was still getting used to. But there was no helping it. This was the reality of his Cultivation at the Foundation Establishment Stage.
After reducing the twenty minions to dust, Qin Fan flashed a sly smile and took off, his body a blur of afterimages that flickered throughout the Half Mountain Villa District.
Fuck! Damn it, he’s on my tail!
Though Qin Fan was still several kilometers away, Blue-Eyed Wolf had become a nightmare to countless people for a reason; he was no common foe. How could he not feel the killing intent that Qin Fan was deliberately releasing to tail him?
Moving like a ghost through the night, Qin Fan gradually slowed his pace, maintaining just enough distance for Blue-Eyed Wolf to sense him. After all, catching the mouse too quickly spoils the fun of a cat-and-mouse game. Since he had time to kill, Qin Fan didn’t mind taking the legend of the Killer World for a nice long run.
From Tianhe to Yuexiu, Yuexiu to Haizhu, Haizhu to Baiyun, then to Huangpu and Liwan, before finally circling back to Tianhe. Blue-Eyed Wolf crisscrossed nearly the entirety of Jiangzhou City in a single night. All the while, Qin Fan maintained the same fixed distance behind him.
For three hours, the exhausted Blue-Eyed Wolf ran without pausing for a single moment.
「Three in the morning.」
Atop the Jiangzhou Tower, Blue-Eyed Wolf finally stopped running. He had resigned himself to his fate, knowing it was pointless to continue. He didn’t know if he could outlast Qin Fan’s stamina, but he was certain that if this chase went on any longer, he would be the one to collapse.
CLAP, CLAP, CLAP!
Just as Blue-Eyed Wolf stood at the tower’s peak, the crisp sound of applause rang out. Yawning, Qin Fan strolled into view, clapping his hands.
"What’s the matter? Not running anymore? Go on, keep running," Qin Fan teased, a smirk on his face as he looked up at Blue-Eyed Wolf on the tower’s peak.
"I knew a one-billion-US-dollar mission wouldn’t be easy, but I never expected it to cost the annihilation of my entire team," Blue-Eyed Wolf said, shaking his head with a self-deprecating smile as he took a deep breath to steady his heart rate. He looked down at Qin Fan.
"I don’t like people talking down to me. Get down here," Qin Fan commanded, pointing his index finger toward the ground.
"Okay," Blue-Eyed Wolf replied with a smirk and leaped down. In the darkness, his eyes held an eerie, shimmering blue glow.
"Spare my life for one billion US dollars," Blue-Eyed Wolf said grimly upon landing, pointing a finger at Qin Fan. Throughout the chase, he had clearly felt Qin Fan toying with him, deliberately maintaining a set distance. In this game of cat and mouse, he knew he was no longer the cat. He had become the mouse the moment he was left as a commander with no soldiers. Though they hadn’t yet fought, he was willing to trade the one billion US dollars for a safe retreat from this hopeless situation.
"Do you think one billion US dollars is tempting to me? You should be grateful you didn’t target my family. If you had, I guarantee you would regret being born. As it is, I can grant you an intact corpse, unlike your worthless men whom I burned to ash." Qin Fan’s smile was disarmingly innocent, but to Blue-Eyed Wolf, it was the face of pure evil.
"On one hand, there’s one billion US dollars. On the other, mutual destruction. Huaxia man, are your decision-making skills really that poor? Or do you think I’m as weak as that trash?" Blue-Eyed Wolf clenched his jaw, hands clasped behind his back as he stared down Qin Fan.
"And why wouldn’t I? There’s no difference. You’re all trash, all ants to me. Tell me, who posted the one-billion-US-dollar mission?" Qin Fan sneered. "Do that, and I’ll give you a quick, clean death."
"Sorry, I have no idea. I never know who my clients are, nor do I care. I only work for the money." As he spoke, two blue orbs of electrical energy began to gather in his palms behind his back. Seemingly bolstered by this secret weapon, a confident smirk played on his lips.
But how could such a trick escape Qin Fan’s perception? The only reason he hadn’t killed Blue-Eyed Wolf immediately was that he was curious about the man’s strange ability.
"In that case, there’s nothing left to discuss."
With those words, Qin Fan moved. In a blur of zigzagging afterimages, he crossed the distance in less than a breath, appearing directly in front of Blue-Eyed Wolf.
But before Qin Fan could strike, Blue-Eyed Wolf retreated two steps with lightning speed. A fierce, chilling expression appeared on his face.
He laughed maniacally. "Haha! Foolish, arrogant Huaxia man! You missed your chance to kill me!" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
"Is that so?" Qin Fan replied, a slight grin spreading across his face.
