The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 23 - 22: Uncle Qin, I’m begging you! (Begging for all kinds of support for the new book!)
Three rounds of stud poker had swept away over a billion yuan. The money had come from Mountain and Water Manor, and it was all at the hands of the Qin family’s disowned son. If this hadn’t been the stark reality playing out before their very eyes, the entire upper echelon of Jiangzhou would have laughed their heads off had anyone dared to make such a claim.
Forget a worthless coward like Qin Fan; even if the old patriarch of the Qin family himself were here, he would never dare to cheat and win so much money at Mountain and Water Manor.
What did Mountain and Water Manor represent? It represented Ye Jizu, Lord Ye himself. And what did Ye Jizu represent? The entire Jiangzhou Underworld, which he ruled with an iron fist. Most importantly, the name Ye Jizu also signified the colossal Ye family of Lingnan. The fact that people spoke of them using that full title—the Ye family of Lingnan—was a testament to the power those words held, a power recognized throughout all of Huaxia.
And yet, under these very circumstances, someone had blatantly swindled one of the Ye family’s own young masters out of more than a billion yuan right under their noses. Was this not the April Fools’ joke of the century?
Dozens, no, hundreds of pairs of eyes watched in stunned silence as Qin Fan strolled nonchalantly out of the gambling hall.
The most shocked of all was Zhou Xueman, who could no longer find the words to describe her feelings.
This has to be an accident. That Qin family waste just got incredibly lucky and managed to escape. Even if he were the old Qin patriarch’s most beloved grandson, there’s no way he could escape Lord Ye’s Five-Finger Mountain after winning over a billion. And this is the disowned son of the Qin family we’re talking about, a universally acknowledged piece of trash despised by all of Jiangzhou’s high society!
Amid the dead silence, Ye Jizu emerged, leaning on a cane. He had hastily bandaged his pinky finger and was dragging his crippled right leg, his expression anxious. "Lord Q—" he started to call out, but felt the title was inappropriate and quickly corrected himself. "Where is Qin Fan?"
"Lord Ye!"
"Lord Ye!"
"Lord Ye!"
The moment Ye Jizu appeared, the hall filled with the respectful cries of the assembled dignitaries.
Ye Jizu gave them a curt, expressionless nod before limping toward the Sic Bo table. "Where is he?" he demanded. "Where did he go?"
"L-L-Lord Ye, he’s gone! He won over a billion and left! Should we send men to bring him back?" a staff member stammered, his forehead slick with cold sweat. He had just finished exchanging Qin Fan’s chips and hadn’t had a chance to leave yet. He approached Ye Jizu, his voice trembling with nerves.
Over a billion, snatched away right under their watch. How could they not be terrified?
But what happened next left everyone’s jaws on the floor. At the staff member’s suggestion, Ye Jizu’s expression contorted. His awe for Qin Fan was already ingrained in his very soul. He whipped his hand back and slapped the man squarely across the face.
"What did you say? Since when does running a casino mean you don’t let people win? Get out! As of this second, you’re fired! Get the hell out of my sight!"
Bring him back? The man is a Transformation Realm Grandmaster! Forgetting for a moment that only an expert on Hua Xiaotian’s level could even attempt such a feat, even if they did succeed in capturing Qin Fan, they wouldn’t be getting their billion-plus back. What they’d lose in return would be my own life—my life—and the very foundation of the Ye family!
"Lord Ye!" The staff member’s face turned white as a sheet. His legs gave out, and he collapsed to his knees before Ye Jizu. "Lord Ye, I was wrong! I was wrong!" he cried out in terror.
"Someone! Drag this trash out of here!" Ye Jizu roared, his face a mask of fury, not even sparing the man a second glance.
Instantly, several large men in black suits moved in. They gave the staff member no further chance to beg, grabbing him and hauling him unceremoniously away.
"My apologies for the interruption, everyone," Ye Jizu said, his stern face cracking into a faint smile as he nodded to the Gods of Wealth in the room. "Please, continue your games. Carry on!" 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
With that, he turned and limped out of the gambling hall on his cane.
Watching Ye Jizu’s retreating, crippled figure, everyone in the room was thunderstruck.
Who? Who could have injured Lord Ye? Who would dare to injure Lord Ye? And his pinky was bandaged, too. When did Jiangzhou produce someone with the power and audacity to harm Lord Ye?
For a moment, their imaginations ran wild.
The first name that flashed through Zhou Xueman’s mind was Qin Fan. But she immediately scoffed at the thought.
Qin Fan? If that good-for-nothing had the ability to do this, Lord Ye would have died a hundred times over by now in Jiangzhou!

Walking out of Mountain and Water Manor with a bank card containing over a billion yuan, Qin Fan immediately faced a problem. He stood staring at a long road with not a single taxi in sight.
How am I supposed to get back from a place where it takes a taxi tens of minutes just to arrive? Run? Sure, my current speed isn’t any slower than a car’s. But if I showed off that kind of speed, I’d definitely be tomorrow’s top headline. Reporters and national biological research departments would be breaking down my door! That’s a kind of trouble I’d rather avoid.
Just as he was smiling wryly at his predicament, a Bentley and an Audi drove out from Mountain and Water Manor, one after the other.
"Lord Qin!"
"Lord Qin!"
Seeing Qin Fan standing dazedly by the gate, both the Bentley and the Audi screeched to a halt. The rear doors flew open, and the Ye father-son duo scrambled out, hurrying toward him and calling out respectfully.
"Lord Qin, are you waiting for someone?" Ye Congjun asked, puzzled. He couldn’t bring himself to imagine that Qin Fan was actually waiting for a ride.
"I’m waiting for a car. A taxi," Qin Fan said bluntly, glancing coolly at the father and son.
Ye Congjun was utterly flabbergasted.
What the hell? A Transformation Realm Grandmaster has to hail a cab? If word of this got out, people would think it was some kind of absurd fairy tale, wouldn’t they?
His father, Ye Jizu, who had just hobbled over, overheard this and immediately plastered an ingratiating smile on his face. Bowing slightly, he hurried to say, "Lord Qin, please don’t wait any longer! Here, let my driver take you home!"
"I don’t need a driver. How much for the Bentley? I’ll buy it," Qin Fan said indifferently, his eyes sweeping over the brand-new car.
"Tch, tch—there I go again, misspeaking! Lord Qin, please, just take the car and go!" Ye Jizu said, his tone utterly subservient.
This was an absolute first for him in all his years. Yet he played the part of a groveling subordinate to perfection, without a hint of awkwardness. Who would have ever imagined that the formidable Lord Ye had such a fawning side?
"How much?" Qin Fan repeated coldly.
"Lord Qin, you—you’re slapping me, Ye Jizu, in the face! No, wait, if you like, you can slap my face whenever you want! But offering money is just too inappropriate! What is this old car even worth? For someone of your status, Lord Qin, being able to give you this car is a blessing I’ve prayed for. Please don’t talk about money, Lord Qin, I’m begging you!"
Ye Jizu clasped his hands together in a gesture of supplication, his voice layered with pleas and honorifics. The sincerity in his eyes was absolute.
