The Rise of Dragon Son-in-Law-Chapter 61 - I Refuse
Chapter 61: Chapter 61 I Refuse
Chapter 61 -61 I Refuse
“Just you talk too much.”
Old Yang glared at the chatty old man.
Long Chen didn’t say anything and silently began to treat the three people.
The entire process lasted an hour and then ended. Long Chen found that, compared to yesterday, the amount exhausted today was the same, but he didn’t feel as weak as yesterday.
This indicated that the “Mysterious Energy” in his body had increased.
“You old ailments are basically resolved now, after you go back, pay more attention to rest and try not to stay up late.”
Long Chen instructed.
The three old men happily paid the consultation fee, nearly three million.
Long Chen silently reflected on the past; when his sister, Li Yuechan, had borrowed money for their grandfather’s medical expenses, creditors knocking on the door for just over a hundred thousand had made him feel desperate.
But now, earning a few million was easy for him.
After seeing off the three old men, just as Long Chen was about to ask Jiang Tong to close up, Jiang Tong suddenly pointed outside and said, “Brother Long, look quickly, it seems like it’s your ex-wife and them, they’ve come again.”
Long Chen turned his head and indeed saw Li Yuechan and Li Shiqi walking over together.
“Brother Long, what should we do? Should we let them in?”
Jiang Tong asked quietly.
“It’s fine, you and Tang Ying go upstairs to play,” Long Chen said.
“Alright.”
Jiang Tong turned and went upstairs with Tang Ying.
Li Yuechan and her parents also quickly walked into the medical hall.
This time, Han Min’s attitude was vastly different from the last.
Because Han Min, who had come this time, wore a full smile and was carrying lots of fruit.
“Long Chen, your skin doesn’t seem as good as before, you should eat more fruit.”
Han Min said with a smile.
Long Chen was stunned for a moment. If he remembered correctly, this was the first time Han Min had shown concern for him.
Although it sounded fake, it was still an effort to please.
As the saying goes, do not strike the smiling face, especially when it belonged to Li Yuechan’s mother.
“Auntie, there’s no need to be so polite; it makes me a bit embarrassed,” Long Chen said.
This “Auntie,” Long Chen had deliberately chosen to use.
Han Min was startled for a moment, then quickly said, “Long Chen, calling me ‘Auntie,’ isn’t that a bit incorrect? You should call me ‘Mom.'”
“How could that be? After all, Yuechan and I are divorced,” Long Chen said.
“You hit the nail on the head,” Li Shiqi followed on, “The reason I’ve come today is to discuss this matter with you. I think the divorce between you and Yuechan was too hasty, and I hope you two can remarry and live well together.”
“Dad, look what you’re saying; my divorce with him wasn’t hasty at all.”
Li Yuechan immediately said.
Hearing this, Long Chen immediately understood Li Yuechan’s intent.
Long Chen smiled and said, “Yuechan is right, our divorce wasn’t hasty at all. Isn’t this what you’ve always wanted us to do? Now that we’re divorced, it’s in line with your wishes.”
“That was all my confusion,” Han Min said. “Long Chen, all the mistakes were mine alone, but Yuechan is innocent. After the divorce, she’s cried for you I don’t know how many times; it breaks my heart to see it. Come back, remarry Yuechan.”
“Forget it,” Long Chen said. “If I came back, it would only be an eyesore to you all; there’s no need for everyone to be unhappy.”
“You’re right,” Li Yuechan took over the conversation. “I also think there’s no need for a remarriage, things are quite good as they are.”
“Yuechan.”
Li Shiqi glared fiercely at Li Yuechan, then turned to Long Chen, “If you still like Yuechan, then remarry her. Don’t regret it for a lifetime because of a moment’s impulse.”
“I’ll consider it,” Long Chen said with a calm gaze, his heart bursting with joy.
This was indeed beyond his expectation. Had it not been for Li Yuechan’s implication, Long Chen would have agreed on the spot.
“Why is there even a need to consider? How about this, if we go to the Civil Affairs Bureau now, there should still be time to queue. You two can get your marriage certificate today,” Li Shiqi said.
“That’s not right,” Long Chen said. “To tell the truth, I am tired of that family feeling. I feel like I’m superfluous, anyone can come up and shout at me, everyone thinks I’m a waste, and I’m living an oppressed life. So, I don’t see any need to go back, really. Please understand.”
“This…” Li Shiqi was at a loss for words, unsure of what to say.
“Long Chen, I know your concerns. It’s true that we were wrong in the past. I promise you if you and Yuechan remarry, I will never treat you like I did before. And think about it, you are different from before now. You have your own job, your own income, and I have no reason to criticize you. I just hope that you and Yuechan can live a good life together,” Han Min said very earnestly.
But what she was truly thinking in her heart, only she knew.
The couple both stared at Long Chen, waiting for him to speak.
But without even thinking, Long Chen said sternly, “I refuse. There’s no need for any further discussion. Leave, please.”
Listening to Long Chen’s decisive words, Li Shiqi and Han Min were at a loss.
“Long Chen, I still hope you will consider it carefully. Once you’ve made up your mind, you can find Yuechan at any time. We will take our leave first,” Li Shiqi said with a flushed face as he stood up to leave.
He had never imagined that one day he would personally come to ask Long Chen to remarry his daughter, and on top of that, fail. This outcome was hard for Li Shiqi to accept.
Seeing that Li Shiqi had left, Han Min also followed him out of Dragon Medical Hall.
Once outside Dragon Medical Hall, Han Min’s face looked extremely ugly.
“This Long Chen, really doesn’t know how to be grateful. He won’t even agree to this. In my opinion, it might be better not to remarry. He just has some money now, there are plenty of people richer than him,” Han Min said indignantly.
“Mom, look at you, here you go again. I knew it, you want me to remarry Long Chen because of his earning ability,” Li Yuechan said coldly.
“Is that wrong?” Han Min retorted angrily. “Who wouldn’t want their son-in-law to be capable? Just like yourself, if you have a daughter in the future, would you actually want your son-in-law to be a good-for-nothing?”
“Fine, fine, you are right,” Li Yuechan had no words to reply.
“Sigh, I’m out of moves now. I can only tell the truth to the old master and let him speak with Long Chen himself,” Li Shiqi said. Afterwards, he took out his phone and after some thought, dialed the old master’s number.
“What’s the matter? Did you talk it over with Long Chen?” the old master asked lightly.
“Dad, Long Chen won’t agree; he refused,” Li Shiqi said reluctantly.
“You useless thing, what can you actually accomplish?” the old master barked in fury.

“Dad, I’ve spoken all the kind words I could. He just won’t agree. Maybe you could personally step in. I think Long Chen is holding a grudge against Han Min and me, that’s why he’s refusing,” Li Shiqi said with a bitter smile.
“I don’t want to hear your excuses. Since you say he won’t agree, I’ll find a way. If I can’t manage it, Li Shiqi, I’ll make sure you regret it, really, I’m not joking,” the old master vented before hanging up on Li Shiqi.
Li Shiqi stood there holding his phone, on the verge of tears.
Just then, Li Yuechan received a call from the old master.
“Yuechan, arrange to meet with Long Chen. Find some time to come to Pure Water Villa, I want to talk with you two,” the old master said.
