The Rise Of The No. 1 Hunter-Chapter 150: EXECUTION OF THE S-RANK
The impact shattered the ground beneath his feet.
Thenβ
Raito twisted his wrist.
His dagger flashed.
CRACK. π§πβ―β―π€β―π£πβ΄πππ.ππ°π
The enemy's dagger snapped cleanly in half.
Before it could react, Raito's left hand shot forwardβgrabbing the entity by the face, fingers digging directly into its glowing red eyes.
"βAAAAARGH!!"
Dark crimson blood poured down its face as it screamed, staggering backward, clawing at Raito's arm.
That was all he could do.
Raito surged forward, seizing the creature's body. This time, it was stable.
He grabbed its neck, tightening his grip. Then he lifted it high, muscles coiling with controlled force.
He raised his leg to strike.
The daggerβit slammed against his cheekβbut didn't pierce.
"Well, guess what?" Raito muttered, voice calm. "Most of my skin is activated. Stronger than the body of that dragon I defeated before."
With that, he lifted the enemy higher, carrying it with raw force, and slammed its head into the ground.
Boom.
The dungeon shook. Dust and stone splintered beneath the impact. The creature groaned, staggering, but Raito's eyes were cold and calculating. He didn't relent.
As the enemy staggered to its feet, Raito lifted it high, his legs coiling with power. He slammed its head into the ground. Dark crimson blood spattered across the dungeon floor, staining the stone.
"Let me end your misery," Raito muttered, his voice low and merciless.
The creature groaned, strugglingβbut Raito was relentless. His dagger appeared in his hand. He drove it forward, piercing the enemy's face, then lifted it and plunged the blade straight into its chest.
The corpse shattered. Boom. Pieces of it scattered as its body began to fade, dissolving into nothingness.

A notification blinked into existence:
User has gained a new ability: "Distract Enemy & Move as Smoke."
Another alert followed almost instantly:
User has gained a new ability: "Dissolve into Any Matter."
The dungeon fell silent for a moment, the echoes of destruction fading. Raito's eyes glinted with cold satisfaction. The fight was overβbut the power he had gained made it clear that the next one would be far deadlier.
The taunting stopped. The final boss was defeated.
Red light flickered across the dungeon as Raito snapped his fingers and teleported to the exit.
As he emerged, he noticed the people who had come to recover the fallen hunterβthe hunter he had just defeatedβwere already waiting, stepping out of the portal.
But the moment he stepped into the open, it hit him. His mind felt scattered. Cameras, phones, flashesβeveryone's eyes were on him. He hadn't expected this.
A low-profile hunterβ¦ C-rank, according to the last assessment. And now, suddenly, everyone across the country was watching. Every screen, every camera seemed to track him. The life of a low-ranking hunter was supposed to be quietβunnoticed. And yet here he was, blown into the spotlight by defeating an A-rank entity.
"Damn itβ¦" he muttered, panic rising.
Instinctively, he activated Shadow phase. His body shimmered, fading into invisibility, and he took off, flying away from the crowd.
Outside, his phone was a storm. Hundreds of missed calls from Jiro, Kira, and even Aikoβhis sister. His chest tightened.
He opened the blog. Posts had already gone viral. Every detail of the fight had been shared. Every move, every strike. The world had seen everything.
"β¦This is bad," he muttered. "This is really bad."
Not now.
It wasn't supposed to be now.
Raito frowned as he flew through the air, his thoughts racing. This wasn't how he planned it. Not yet.
He landed in front of Jiro's apartmentβmore like a mansionβand knocked on the door.
"Come in," a voice said. "The boss is expecting you."
The butler stepped aside. Raito nodded and walked in.
"Have you seen the news?" Jiro asked the moment he saw him.
"Yes," Raito replied. "I've seen what's going on."
Jiro studied him for a moment. "Then explain it to me properly. I understand what happened, but I want to hear it from you."
Raito exhaled slowly.
"Well," Jiro began, "you defeated an S-rank hunter inside a dungeon. He tried to fight youβand you overpowered him instantly. The media is in shock. Everyone is talking about it."
He paused, then continued, "They're calling you a low-profile hunter. A hunter who cleared a dungeon that surpassed S-rank after mana measurements. Someone who shouldn't even exist at your recorded rank."
"Damn itβ¦" Raito muttered. "This is bad. I didn't plan it like this. I never wanted it this way. Not now."
Jiro's expression darkened.
"But that's not even the biggest problem."
Raito looked up.
"There are people coming for you," Jiro said. "Anytime."
Raito's eyes narrowed.
"And there's more. Kira has been captured."
Raito stiffened. "By whoβand why?"
"Isn't it obvious?" Jiro replied grimly. "You two were seen together. And not just by anyoneβA-rank hunters. Hunters who were already tracking the person who cleared the Fairy Dungeon."
Jiro clenched his fist.
"She pretended she didn't know you. Acted like she was searching for you too. But she knew you all along. And when this happenedβeverything moved fast."
He looked straight at Raito.
"I even received a message. You were seen together at a furniture company. The A-rank hunters realized she played them. That she knew you from the beginning."
Jiro exhaled sharply.
"And now? It's only a matter of time before they come for me too."
Raito's jaw tightened.
"No wonderβ¦" he muttered. "He warned me. Said it was only a matter of time before I felt the heat. Before the people around me felt it."
He lifted his head, eyes locking onto Jiro.
"Tell me," Raito said coldly. "Where is she?"
Jiro shook his head.
"No. I can't. There are nearly twenty S-rank hunters involved. I'm not saying you're weakerβbut that many S-ranks? You can't take them all. It would be suicide."
"You already killed an S-rank hunter," Jiro continued. "Even without officially being assessed as one. That alone makes you a prime target."
Raito frowned.
In the next instant, he grabbed Jiro by the neck.
