The Rise Of The No. 1 Hunter-Chapter 151: NO MORE RESTRAINT
"Did I ask you any of that?" Raito said quietly.
His grip tightened as he lifted Jiro off the ground with one hand.
"I didn't ask whether they could defeat me or not," he continued, voice low and dangerous. "I asked you one thing."
His eyes burned.
"Where. Is. She."
Jiro struggled, choking.
"She's already in this mess because of me," Raito said. "And I will save her."
His grip tightened further as he lifted Jiro higher, his expression utterly cold.
"Good. Thanks."
Raito released Jiro and stepped back.
"And… sorry about earlier. I lost my temper."
Then he turned.
"I'm out."
He rose into the air—
BOOM!
The sound shattered the skyline. Raito vanished in a thunderous shockwave, accelerating instantly. Purple lightning crackled across his body as Thunder Mist activated, arcs of electricity ripping through the air, bending the clouds above him.
Below, pedestrians froze, screaming as the wind roared past. Streetlights snapped and power lines sizzled from the electrical charge.
"What the hell is that?!"
"Is that… a jet?"
"No—look at the speed!"
"That thing—it's moving faster than anything I've ever seen!"
In a heartbeat, Raito tore across Tokyo's skyline. Cars were overturned by sonic blasts, rooftop billboards ripped free and scattered like paper, and windows along his path shattered violently, raining glass down into the streets.
He didn't slow down.
He slammed into the Combined Hunter Association skyscraper, reinforced glass and steel walls crumpling under the impact. The upper floors groaned, beams snapping, alarms screaming. Windows exploded outward, sending shards flying like deadly rain.
Inside, the executives and guild leaders were thrown off their feet, desks splintering, monitors cracking, papers scattering in a whirlwind. Security guards collided with walls and each other, scrambling to comprehend the impossible.
Raito landed in the center of the main conference room. Purple lightning licked the walls around him, leaving scorch marks and a faint hum of raw energy in the air. Glass crunched underfoot. Concrete dust hung thick. The room smelled of ozone and scorched electronics.
The room went dead silent—then chaos erupted.
"Who the hell is that?!"
"Get him out of here—now!"
"Is that… the hunter from the news?"
"That C-rank low-profile hunter?!"
Raito's gaze swept across them, sharp and merciless, like lightning about to strike.
"I'm not going to say this twice," he said coldly, voice carrying over the ringing alarms.
"Tell me where she is."
He stepped forward, each motion cracking the floor slightly beneath him from the residual force of his landing.
"And your answer," Raito added, voice low and lethal, "decides what happens to you next."
"Hey—who the hell do you think you are?"
One of the men at the table slammed his hand down, forcing himself to stand despite the shaking room.
"Don't forget social order," he snapped. "All of us here are at the top. Even if we're not in our prime anymore, you will show respect."
Raito didn't even blink.
"That," he said coldly, "wasn't what I asked."
In the next instant, he was gone.
He reappeared directly in front of the man—
BOOM!
Raito's fist buried itself into the man's stomach. The impact detonated through the room. The man's body folded around the punch before he was launched backward, smashing through the wall and crashing into the next room, concrete and steel exploding outward.
Silence followed.
Then Raito turned slowly, his eyes locking onto the others.
"Now," he said calmly, "are you going to answer me… or not?"
Panic spread instantly.
The remaining executives scrambled back, fear written clearly across their faces.
"He's insane—!"
"He just barged in and attacked us—!"
Suddenly, several guards burst through the side entrance, shouting desperately.
"Guild Master Saru! Guild Master Jin!"
"Please—leave immediately!"
"We'll handle him—just get out of here!"
The so-called Guild Masters didn't hesitate. Chairs toppled as they ran, shoving past each other toward the exit, abandoning the room without a second glance.
Raito didn't chase them.
He stood alone in the ruined conference room, lightning still faintly crackling around his body, glass crunching beneath his boots.
Then he spoke again, his voice quieter—but far more dangerous. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
"Where," Raito asked, "is the woman you took?"
His gaze swept over the few remaining figures frozen in terror.
"And don't lie," he added. "You won't like what happens if you do."
"Hey," Jin sneered, stepping forward. "I couldn't care less how strong you are. We're S-rank hunters—the elite—and here you are, coming alone. And you dare talk with so much pride?"
He leaned closer, his voice dripping with malice. "Bow down. Worship us. That's what you're meant to do."
Acura's eyes glittered coldly. "Let's teach him a lesson for daring to show up here."
Darko's voice cut through the tension, calm but sharp. "Hey… is anyone going to answer my question? Or should I? Why are you here? And tell me—why?"
Raito's gaze remained unflinching.
Jin laughed, venomous. "In fact, let me see her. Tell me—what is her name? Kira, right?"
He spat the words out, cruel and deliberate. "You came here for her. The female A-rank hunter. Oh, yes… she dared to lie to us. She should be stripped of her title. She's in the torture chamber as we speak—for lying to us, for hiding the truth."
Jin's grin widened. "The first time I heard about you, we searched. We sent hunters to find her, even spent money and resources—yet she pretended she didn't know. She acted like she had no idea who we were."
He paused, letting his words hang in the air. "And you… you're alone. You didn't say a word. Didn't try to stop her. So she will be tortured. Even if it means she dies… she dies. That's the price for crossing us."
"You see this?" Raito said, his voice low and deadly. "Last summer… now you've crossed the line."
The purple lightning of his Thunder Mist flared brighter, crackling around his body like a storm given form. Energy pulsed outward, warping the air as it swirled violently around him.
The S-rank hunters on the side tensed, releasing their own auras—but it was already too late.
Raito moved.
