Chapter 328: Gust of Wind

"I will marry you in exchange for my family and the cure for Chris..."

King Mordrak squinted his eyes before smirking. He extended his hand to her and said, "Good decision. Let’s go My Queen."

Elsa stepped back when the demon king moved forward to reach her hand. "Let go of my family first and I need the cure," she demanded.

"Very well," King Mordrak replied before commanding his servants, "Release my guests."

Behind him were two carriages and the servants opened the doors of both at the same time. The first one was used by Nathan together with Rocco. Elsa quickly ran to them as soon as he recognized them.

She wrapped her arms around her father who was carrying her son and whispered, "On my go signal, run straight and fly with Bendy, my pterolycus. I will slow them down."

Nathan immediately understood her plan and replied, "I missed you too, dear!" loud enough for the demon king to hear.

She carried Rocco who giggled when she showered him with kisses before giving him back to her father, to face the demon king once more.

Nathan walked to the spot where Elsa came from and prepared himself for whatever possible scenario might happen soon.

Elsa looked around searching for Milda and questioned King Mordrak after not seeing her. "Where is Milda?"

The demon king simply called Milda calmly, "Milda, show yourself."

Elsa turned around, facing the second carriage, and watched her aunt slowly step down. She was wearing a red and violet dress with black laces matching her dark make-up. Elsa immediately felt that something was wrong since Milda looked different from how she had dressed up before.

But then, she immediately dismissed her doubt, thinking that perhaps her choices in Kurzen in terms of clothing were limited.

She noticed her carrying a small glass bottle and that eased her mind for it looked similar to the potion that King Mordrak gave her to temporarily cure Chris from the effects of hecatolite. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

’Finally, Chris and Yakobo will not suffer anymore,’ she thought.

Like what she did before, she went to Milda and hugged her, whispering, "Follow my father on my cue. Don’t wait for me and bring the potion to Chris. I will slow them down."

Milda smiled and said, "Thank you, Elsa. But I think you are misunderstanding something here."

Elsa frowned and had a questioning look in her eyes as she waited for Milda’s explanation.

However, King Mordrak butted in, "What is that misunderstanding?"

Elsa stepped back hearing them both and placed her left hand behind her, signaling to her father to get ready. Nathan moved back very slowly, so slow that no one noticed him moving.

"My King, my niece thought that this was the cure for her husband," Milda said, referring to the glass bottle she was holding.

"Oh right. Why don’t you show it to her?" King Mordrak suggested with a smirk.

Without warning, Milda threw the glass bottle on the ground smashing it into a million pieces. White smoke emerges from the ground.

Elsa’s eyes widened in shock and with a quick glance at her father, she yelled, "RUN!"

The white smoke reached her face and she quickly lost her consciousness. King Mordrak caught her just in time before she hit the ground, saving her from getting hurt.

"Elsa!" Nathan screamed but it was too late, she was already knocked off for her to hear him.

"Take care of him," King Mordrak ordered Milda who nodded with a smile.

She opened her palms on her sides and dark mist appeared around her hands stunning Nathan.

"No... Milda..." Nathan murmured. He knew what was in her hands and he didn’t even suspect her of doing anything like it. If only he was still a powerful seraph like before, none of these would happen.

He took one last glimpse of Elsa and saw her being carried by the demon king into the carriage, before running towards the direction she instructed. ’I will make sure your son is safe and I promise I will save you next,’ he said inwardly.

"Ahh!" Nathan screamed and Rocco started carrying when Milda was able to hit his back with her dark magic.

He embraced his grandson tight making sure that nothing would hit him and he would not get hurt as ran as fast as he could.

Milda and the demons didn’t stop chasing after him, throwing every dark magic attack that they could think of. But Nathan was fast. If there’s one thing that he was proud of, it’s his athleticism.

To make up for his weakened power, he made sure that he was physically fit like a professional athlete to make sure that he could still protect Elsa when they were still in Novus. It would take him years just to gather enough power and strength to cast a single spell, and right now, there’s nothing he can do but run for their lives.

"Hit him hard, you useless turds!" Milda shouted, running after Nathan.

Nathan endured every shadow flame and dark magic attack that Milda and the demons threw at him. He would sacrifice his life for both Elsa and Rocco if he could, but as of the moment, he could only save the prince.

His shirt and pants were torn so badly, his skin was burnt, and his blood where dripping from his wounds. But he kept his mind focused on the goal and that was to reach Bendy. He perfectly knows what a pterolycus is and he is hoping that Elsa’s pet is big enough to accommodate him and Rocco.

Elsa told him to fly with the pterolycus without knowing what he suffered at the hands of the demon king. So, he could only hope that Bendy was strong and had a powerful body and wings to carry them both.

From afar he saw a faint light from a small torch that Elsa placed beside Bendy to help them find it. As he nears the light he could gradually see the figure of the winged wolf sitting and patiently waiting.

"BENDY! Please help us! Save Prince Rocco!" Nathan shouted as loud as he could while running towards the mythical creature.

Almost instantly, a strong gust of wind swept past him and Rocco on either side, missing them but striking everyone behind them.
