The Royal Mark-Chapter 411: He Is My Husband

Elsa sat up, covering her naked self with the blanket while Chris started dressing up casually, as if it was just an ordinary day, taking his sweet time in putting on his clothes one by one.

"J-Jai! What are you doing here? And don’t you know how to knock?" Elsa stammered. She was dazed by his sudden intrusion.

"What am I doing here? Knock? The door is wide open for Christ’s sake! What if the kids see you like that?" Jai shouted.

"Well, they are not here. And why are you shouting at me?!" Elsa yelled back.

"How can I not?! You were absent from work and cannot be reached. You have no idea how worried I was and then I go here and see you lying in bed, just finished having sex with another man?!"

"You’re saying it like we are in a relationship–" Elsa was starting to get irritated with Jai but she was interrupted by Chris. He already had his pants on but was still without a shirt.

"Hey, lower your voice down. Stop announcing to the world that we just had sex, you have no proof," Chris said with sarcasm, trying to annoy Jai more.

"I don’t need proof to know what you did! Are you going to claim that you didn’t do it?"

Chris crossed his arms and said, "Well, yeah, we actually did but will you keep your voice down? I would actually appreciate it if you leave now, I am still tired from doing multiple rounds, so please go."

Jai’s jaw dropped at the audacity Chris showed him. He had completely forgotten that he was his boss and had completely lost his mind. All he could think about was him stealing Elsa from him.

"You bastard!" he shouted, striding towards Chris and landing a powerful punch to his face. The force of the blow made Chris stagger back until his legs hit the bedside table, causing him to lose his balance and stumble to the ground.

"Chris!" Elsa screamed and crawled to the other side of the bed while holding the blanket around her.

But before she could go to him Jai punched him again making her scream.

"Ah! Jai stop!" Elsa screamed again.

Marina, Elandir, and Roxanne finally arrived. Marina and Elandir quickly pulled Jai away from Chris.

Roxanne saw Elsa’s state and immediately took her robe and helped her put it on.

"Thank you," Elsa said quickly before rushing to Chris and seeing his lips bleeding. The sight made her blood boil, and she swiftly moved towards Jai, who was trying to break free from Elandir and Marina’s grasp.

Jai saw her approaching and immediately stopped struggling, but he didn’t anticipate what Elsa would do next. She raised her hand high and slapped him hard, causing his face to turn to the side. "How dare you punch him! In my own home and in front of me!" she yelled at Jai.

Everyone, including Chris, was startled by what she did, they were not expecting that.

Jai touched and gently rubbed his aching cheek. It was painful and he could still feel her palm against his skin. He was so infuriated and hurt that Elsa took Chris’ side and not his.

"The fuck is wrong with you? Can’t you see he is just using you? You just met him yesterday and you already slept with him? Can’t you see he was just using your body, and you just easily spread your legs for him just like that!"

*SLAP*

Elsa slapped him again and was planning for another one but Chris caught her hand and gently pulled him aside. He grabbed Jai’s collar and said, "Do not talk to her like that. You don’t know me!"

"You two, calm down. We are all adults here, let’s all take it easy," Elandir finally intervened.

But Jai was not willing to back down and pointed his finger at Chris. "I don’t care if you are my boss, you have no right to abuse Elsa. I know the likes of you. Rich men preying on weak women to use their bodies and then dispose of them once they got their fill!"

Elsa ran her hands over her face, she could already feel an incoming headache. She just wanted it to end. She wanted to be alone with Chris so she could talk to him.

"Jai, please stop. You don’t know what you are saying. Please stop embarrassing yourself. You don’t know Chris, so please stop already," Elsa almost begged.

"Yes, I don’t know him, and neither do you! So stop deluding yourself into thinking he’ll stay by your side after bedding you multiple times!"

Elsa closed her eyes, clenched her teeth, and sighed. Even though she didn’t want to inform anyone until she had spoken to Chris, Jai’s disparaging remarks about him were making her increasingly angry.

"I assure you he wouldn’t do that! Please, Jai, leave for now. I’ll talk to you later."

"You assure me? And how can you be so sure?" Jai persisted, not letting up.

"Because he loves me!" Elsa yelled, leaving everyone speechless except for Jai, who was visibly unhappy with her response.

"He loves you? And how do you know that?! Don’t be naive, Elsa, open your eyes!"

"I know because he is my husband! If there’s anyone who would die for me to save my life, it’s him!" Elsa’s loud voice began to waver.

"What did you just say?" Jai asked, thinking he had misheard.

"H-He... He is my husband... He risked his life to save me and our children five years ago so we could live. And now, he’s risking his life once more just to stay by my side..." The room fell silent as everyone watched her tears slowly fall.

Chris’ whole body trembled with fear, shock, and emotions he couldn’t describe. He slowly reached for her hand and murmured, "Elsa..."

She slumped to the floor and wailed loudly like a child.

Chris bent down and held her arms to make her look at him. "Y-You r-remember?"

Elsa nodded, and Chris quickly embraced her, his own tears falling. "Oh god, oh god! You remember me... You know me..."

"I do, now..." Elsa whispered as she hugged him back. They cried in each other’s arms, making everyone in the room shed tears as well... Except for Jai, who was staring at them with immense anger.
