The Shining Star Above The Heaven-Chapter 1079: Eliminating All Assassins
Inside the vessel where the assassins from Underworld's Feeder stayed, the two strongest cultivators, two peak pseudo immortal assassins, were inside one of the cabins. They sat around a table and did not say anything.
They did not cover their faces with masks like they usually did, which made their faces clearly visible. One of them was a middle-aged man with short red hair and a scar on the left side of his face, while the other was another middle-aged man with short black hair and a scar on his right cheek.
Their expressions showed that they were waiting for something. The red-haired one tapped the table repeatedly with his index finger.
"Why has group 3 still not arrived yet? From the time they reported the success of the kidnapping until now, they should have already arrived a few minutes ago," he commented.
The black-haired one did not answer as he also thought about it.
"Did something happen to them? Is what they said about Aldrian the Great true?" his colleague continued.
The black-haired assassin remained silent. Only after a few seconds did he open his lips.
"It seems so. Based on estimation, they should have arrived a few minutes ago. Being late for even a few minutes is already extraordinary, so something must have happened."
The red-haired assassin frowned deeper. "Then what if we send—"
Before he could finish his words, they suddenly felt someone's spiritual sense sweep over them, which surprised them.
To think that there was a spiritual sense capable of breaching their barrier. A formation protected the vessel from prying spiritual senses, and it should block even a pseudo immortal stage cultivator's spiritual sense.
Without hesitation, they spread their spiritual sense to look for the one who had passed through their barrier, and they were shocked.
Rumble! Boom!
Before they could act, their vessel already trembled heavily, and suddenly the ceiling of their cabin collapsed. They did not have time to escape as the destroyed ceiling fell upon them.
Aldrian's avatar and Ao Tianhai had already breached and entered their vessel from the ceiling at incredible speed, breaking the sound barrier. The moment they reached the two strongest assassins, Ao Tianhai was the one who quickly restrained them.
With his powerful raw strength, he did not give the two assassins any time to escape or even do anything that could harm the avatar. Using his space laws, he first trapped both of them inside a spatial cage that prevented them from moving outside of it.
He then delivered a powerful punch directly at one of them, the red-haired assassin, striking right at his dantian.
The spatial barrier that Ao Tianhai had created himself shattered under his powerful punch. His powerful raw strength as a dragon easily destroyed the dantian without killing the target.
The red-haired assassin felt pain throughout his body as his figure bent the moment the punch landed on his abdomen.
Without waiting even a second, Ao Tianhai attacked his next target, the black-haired assassin.
The black haired assassin realized that they were under attack and that he was in a dangerous position. He could not move, and he saw the enemy targeting his dantian. Making a quick decision, he chose what he believed was the best course of action.
He intended to blow himself up, but before his dantian could fully explode, Ao Tianhai's punch already landed on it. The exploding process stopped instantly as pain spread throughout his body, and he spat blood from his lips.
After taking care of the strongest assassins, Ao Tianhai, without saying anything, suddenly dashed outside the cabin. He destroyed the wall and appeared in the hallway in front of their cabin, where he could see several assassins moving toward them.
They had obviously come to check the commotion, but they were stunned when they realized that they were under attack!
Ao Tianhai did not care about the cultivators at pseudo immortal establishment stage and instantly targeted the pseudo immortal stage assassins. They were moving toward his direction from various directions.
Some came from the higher decks inside the vessel, while others were on the same deck as him, approaching quickly.
He smiled as he began his killing spree. Destruction followed wherever he passed, and chaos spread in his wake. He still focused on his main targets, the pseudo immortal stage assassins and those approaching the cabin.
No matter where they were, he killed them with his speed and raw power. He was far too overpowered for these assassins, so he did not unleash any techniques and relied only on his punches and speed.
The entire vessel trembled heavily, but it did not affect the avatar inside the cabin with the two strongest assassins. The assassins who could see Aldrian's face were truly shocked, and they realized that they had been discovered!
They also understood that the assassins they had sent to kidnap various targets must have been compromised, and their fate was unknown.
"You—" the black-haired assassin wanted to say something, but the avatar used spatial lock on both of them, preventing them from moving at all. The avatar also created a spatial barrier that covered them from the falling debris.
Without saying anything, he began to look into the black-haired assassin's memories.
The red-haired assassin widened his eyes as he saw the reaction of the black-haired assassin whose memories were being breached and searched by Aldrian. That meant Aldrian could break the seal inside his mind without killing him, which placed their organization in a truly dire situation!
The avatar did not move for more than two minutes before he finally finished looking through the assassin's memories.
He then used the same killing method that he had used for the assassins in the cruiser.
The black-haired assassin's body trembled heavily, and the scene of melting flesh and skin made the red-haired assassin feel a chill deep in his soul. The moment his head exploded, the remnants were thrown everywhere inside the cabin.
The avatar did not wait any longer and walked toward the red-haired assassin.
The red-haired assassin's soul shook as he saw the avatar approaching him.
He wanted to commit suicide, but he could not do anything with his dantian destroyed and the spatial lock freezing him in place.
The last thing he saw was the avatar's hand reaching his forehead before his sight turned blurry. He experienced nothing but pain until his end.
Amid the rumbling sounds and the trembling vessel, Aldrian successfully found what he was looking for.
He stepped outside the cabin, leaving two headless corpses behind, and looked at the scene before him.
The vessel was already badly damaged, with destruction everywhere. The hallway was full of holes, some piercing through until he could see outside the vessel, destroying the cabins behind it.
Corpses of assassins were scattered everywhere, their conditions varying, though most shared similar injuries.
Their bodies were broken, crushed, or pierced with massive holes caused by heavy punches. He knew that with Ao Tianhai's strength, he did not need to unleash much of his power.
In frontal battle, these assassins were like playthings to him, not worthy of being faced seriously.
The sound of battle and the trembling had already stopped, a sign that Ao Tianhai had finished his task. He walked toward Ao Tianhai's figure that he could sense on the upper deck.
The moment he reached Ao Tianhai, he saw him standing in the middle of the assassins' corpses while grabbing one assassin's head and throwing it aside like trash.
"How is it, Your Majesty?" Ao Tianhai asked.
The avatar nodded. "All done. I got what I needed to know. Let's leave and let the others take care of the aftermath."
Ao Tianhai nodded, and they then left the interstellar vessel. They pierced through the vessel's ceiling at high speed and fly higher.
They saw many people already approaching the vessel to investigate the commotion.
The vessel was damaged on many sides, and the chaos caused by Ao Tianhai's slaughter had attracted nearby observers.
Those who saw them wondered who they were, as they could not see their faces clearly due to how quickly they left the scene.
But then they were stunned when they heard thunderous rumbling sounds throughout the city and saw lightning strikes falling across it.
They were shocked as they sensed that those were heavenly lightning, and for it to appear without any warning meant it was the emperor's doing.
Aldrian continued to kill any assassins who were still alive nearby. He waited for his avatar and Ao Tianhai to destroy the assassins inside the interstellar vessel first before continuing to eliminate the remaining assassins around the area.
This was done so as not to alert the assassins inside the vessel. The moment those assassins saw the heavenly lightning strikes, they who had already learned about him would instantly realize that the stories about him were true. They would likely attempt to escape or even commit suicide without hesitation.
Now that the assassins within the empire had been dealt with, he could focus on something else.
The Underworld's Feeder.
The infamous assassin organization within the White Ring Star Cluster.
They were his next target, and he would uproot them completely.
