Aldrian already knew everything his avatar had learned from the kidnappers, as his avatar shared its connection with him.

He finally knew why they kidnapped Vera and Evin. It was because they were considered to have a close relationship with him.

In other words, their main target was not Vera or Evin, but himself.

They were only a small part of a much larger group that had arrived in the empire six months ago, consisting of many strong cultivators. They had already learned many things about him and discovered Vera and Evin's relationship with him after gathering information from the Valerin family.

Although their relationship with him was known only to a limited number of people, the assassins could still learn about it easily from stories shared by staff working in the Valerin family's mansion. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

One or two rumors were enough for them to make their move.

This group did not target Vera and Evin alone. They were also targeting his father's and mother's families as well.

They wanted to kidnap his grandfathers or grandmothers!

They planned kidnappings against everyone connected to him. If his wives or parents had not spent most of their time in the palace, they would have been their main targets.

He was furious, and he already knew where they came from.

They were assassins from Underworld's Feeder.

Underworld's Feeder was a famous assassin organization from the White Ring Star Cluster, the same group that had infiltrated the Alfemin family in the past.

The moment he learned that this assassin organization had reached this place, Aldrian could already guess that this matter might be related to the humiliated nobles of the White Ring Star Cluster.

After humiliating many nobles from various worlds of the White Ring Star Cluster, he knew they would retaliate.

They had already tried to send assassins from Underworld's Feeder to assassinate him when he was still in Blue Pearl World. They infiltrated the Alfemin family's mansion at that time.

Unfortunately for them, he left the Blue Pearl World without their knowledge, which caused those assassins to lose their target.

He had already prepared for whatever actions they might take next, and he believed this was another response from them.

Still, he did not like it. The fact that they targeted his family made him decide to choose a direct approach, and it would be a bloody one.

However, before that, he needed to deal with the other assassins still lurking in various parts of the empire.

He spread his domain sense and scanned the territory of the Flamecrest and Rivas families. After a minute, he finally found them, and as expected, they were staying near the two noble families' mansions, observing the situation and looking for the right timing.

They were also much stronger compared to those who kidnapped Vera and Evin, with their cultivation reaching pseudo immortal establishment stage.

After knowing their positions, he created a spatial rift beside him and inserted his hand into it. As his hand entered the void, crackling heavenly lightning appeared from within and grew stronger.

The heavenly lightning became denser and smaller. After it reached the power of the peak pseudo immortal establishment stage, he shot it toward several spatial rifts he also created in the sky above the Flamecrest and Rivas families.

Near the Rivas family's mansion, people were passing by, many minding their own business.

Suddenly, they heard a rumbling thunderous sound from the sky, and before they realized what was happening—

Rumble!

Several lightning bolts struck people in different places. The people nearby were shocked as the lightning precisely struck its targets, and in less than three seconds, their bodies turned to ashes before disappearing.

Those who witnessed it felt fear, as they could sense that if the lightning struck them, they would truly be finished. There would be no result other than death.

Fortunately, the lightning was small and precisely struck specific individuals without greatly affecting anyone nearby. Some people were even standing beside those who were struck.

However, seeing the heavenly lightning targeting specific individuals made many people, who had already heard about Aldrian's ability, believe this was his doing. It was said that whenever this kind of lightning appeared and struck someone, it delivered death to those who deserved it.

That meant the ones just killed were sinners in the eyes of their emperor.

'Poor bastards, what have all of you done to attract His Majesty's death judgment?' That was what many people thought when they saw the charred spots left by the lightning strikes.

The same scene also happened near the Flamecrest family's mansion. Many wondered who those people were that made Aldrian judge them with death.

---------------------------

In the place where the avatar stayed with Vera and Evin, he had already woken Evin up. The moment she saw him, she showed a joyous smile.

"Big brother! You are here? But—" She felt confused as her surroundings were already different. She remembered that she and her mother were in the market, taking a stroll. There was a festival, and they wanted to visit one of the food stalls.

Why were they in this unknown room?

The avatar smiled warmly. Evin was already ten years old, yet he still could not help remembering the innocent Evin from the past, especially the first time he met her.

The last time he saw her was at his wedding with Baek Jimin, yet he still could not help reminiscing about that time.

Back then, she was only selling her handicrafts, but now she lived as the child of a noble family.

"Evin, you don't need to think too much. This is the home of big brother's acquaintance. Something happened to you and your mother, and big brother brought you here," he said.

Although Evin still did not know the entire situation, she nodded in understanding. She had already grown and learned many things over the past years. She was no longer too innocent and understood that if Aldrian spoke like that, something dangerous must have happened that could have harmed her and her mother.

Knock! Knock!

"Excuse me for disturbing you, Your Majesty, but Guardian Ao Tianhai has arrived."

The voice of a butler could be heard from outside.

"Alright, I will meet him," the avatar replied. He then looked at Vera and Evin with a smile.

"I will leave for some time. For now, Miss Vera and Evin can stay here. Later, I will bring you home."

Vera nodded with a smile.

"Thank you, Your Majesty."

The avatar then left the room. The moment he stepped outside, he saw Ao Tianhai already waiting at the side of the hall. His tall and large build was truly intimidating, making no one dare approach him.

The avatar had already contacted Ao Tianhai because he needed his help for their next move to cleanse the empire of the assassins from Underworld's Feeder.

Ao Tianhai watched the avatar come out of the room and approached him, instantly bowing.

"Your Majesty," he greeted. He knew that this was only an avatar, but he still regarded him the same as the real body. His reverence did not lessen just because it was an avatar with more limitations.

The avatar nodded. "Follow me. I want you to do something for me," he said as he walked to leave the mansion. Ao Tianhai followed him, and after they left the mansion, Aldrian floated higher into the sky.

Ao Tianhai, following behind him, wondered what the avatar wanted him to do. He saw the avatar looking into the distance, his gaze falling toward the outskirts of the city where several interstellar vessels had landed.

This was the special landing zone for interstellar vessels.

"You must be wondering why I called you here. I want you to help me clean some trash. Here is the situation," the avatar said as he touched Ao Tianhai's forehead and sent his memories to him.

He showed him what had happened during the past few hours regarding the kidnapping and what he intended to do next. He gave Ao Tianhai detailed information about Underworld's Feeder and his plan.

After learning what had happened, Ao Tianhai could not help revealing his suppressed fury as he gritted his teeth.

"Those ants who do not know the immensity of heaven and earth. To think they dared to do something like that within Your Majesty's territory! Please rest assured, Your Majesty, I will make sure no one escapes from the vessel!" he said.

Aldrian nodded as he gazed at one of the vessels parked in the special landing zone. That vessel had become the main base of Underworld's Feeder since they arrived here.

The assassins they brought were also quite numerous, numbering more than a hundred, and all of them were powerful, with cultivation in the Immortal Transition Realm.

The strongest among them were two peak pseudo immortal stage assassins who acted as the leader and vice leader of their operation here.

There were also six other pseudo immortal stage assassins.

With that level of strength, the avatar knew that he needed someone like Ao Tianhai to help him carry out his plan to storm the vessel.

He needed to eliminate them and also obtain more important information, which he might gain from the strongest assassins there for his next move.

Although dozens of assassins had already spread across many places in the empire, those remaining in the vessel were still among the strongest.

With only his strength, he might exhaust all of his energy and disappear, and even then it would not guarantee that he could kill all the assassins.

That was why he needed Ao Tianhai, and they had to move quickly so the assassins would not have time to escape or suicide.

"Let's go," the avatar said as he and Ao Tianhai flew at high speed toward the assassins' vessel.
