The Smiling Death-Chapter 384: At This Rate Everyone Might Die

SCREEEEEEECCHHHH!!

Both monsters screamed loudly, their horrifying voices echoing across the entire battlefield. The sound alone made many people freeze in fear.

Malphas immediately yelled in a loud voice,

"Get away from the tower! From those monsters immediately!"

His voice traveled far through the forest.

"Run!"

"Get away!"

All group members started running away from the tower as fast as they could. Formation no longer mattered. Survival came first.

What was more surprising was that even the weaker monsters stopped fighting. The spiders, wolves, and flying monsters slowly backed away. Even they were afraid of those two abominations.

Even Scarlett took a few steps back, her eyes locked on the two monsters.

Amon also ran away from the tower area. He had already seen the horror of Rank Five monsters. Fighting them directly was impossible for him right now.

Meanwhile, Malphas stepped forward instead of back. Blue lightning began to cover his entire body.

Malphas appeared in front of the first monster, his lightning-covered sword clashing against the monster's massive claw.

The monster roared loudly and swung its other arm toward him.

A blue lightning slash cut across the monster's chest, leaving a deep glowing cut. The monster roared in anger and suddenly opened its mouth.

A dark red glow began forming inside its throat. Malphas immediately jumped back.

The monster fired a blast of dark red energy from its mouth.

The beam blasted through the ground, leaving a long trench behind.

Malphas landed on the ground and dashed forward again, lightning exploding under his feet.

He swung his sword again and again, striking the monster's arms, chest, and legs at incredible speed.

But this monster was extremely tough. Even his lightning strikes were not cutting as deep as expected.

Meanwhile, Scarlett looked at the second monster.

She grabbed her blood sword tightly.

The second monster was staring directly at Malphas, but it would soon join the fight.

Mark ran toward Scarlett and stopped beside her, holding his spear firmly.

He was at Peak Rank Three. Not enough to handle the monster, but he could at least support Scarlett if needed.

Scarlett glanced at him briefly.

"Don't try to fight it head-on," she said calmly.

Mark nodded. "I know. I'll support and defend."

Mark was an earth element user. His spear fighting combined with earth magic made him good at defense and controlling the battlefield.

Scarlett then looked toward Malphas, who was fighting the first monster alone.

She spoke loudly, "Sir Malphas! I'll handle the second one and stall time!"

Malphas didn't turn, but he replied while fighting, "Don't die."

Scarlett nodded slightly. "You too."

Then the second monster moved.

BOOM!

It stepped forward, and the ground cracked under its foot.

Scarlett immediately raised her hand.

Blood rose from the ground, forming multiple floating blades around her.

"Mark, slow it down," she said.

Mark slammed the butt of his spear into the ground.

[Earth Wall]

The ground in front of the monster suddenly rose up, forming a thick stone wall.

The monster punched the wall, shattering it instantly.

But that small delay was enough.

Scarlett moved her finger forward. All the blood blades shot toward the monster's face and joints.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Some blades bounced off its armor-like skin, but a few pierced into its joints and neck.

"Explode," Scarlett said quietly.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Explosions erupted on the monster's body, forcing it to step back slightly.

But the monster was far from injured. There were no injuries. It roared and slammed its fist into the ground.

The ground shattered, and the shockwave pushed Scarlett and Mark backward.

Mark quickly stabbed his spear into the ground.

Stone rose around his feet, anchoring him so he wouldn't be blown away.

Scarlett slid back several meters but quickly regained her balance. The monster then charged toward them.

"Move!" Mark shouted.

He slammed his spear again into the ground.

Multiple stone spikes rose from the ground, piercing toward the monster's legs.

All spikes broke instantly. They were nothing agaisnt the monster.

But it still made monster to slow down.

Scarlett used that moment to dash to the side and slash across the monster's arm with her blood sword.

Blood energy exploded from the blade as it cut into the monster's skin. But it was more like a small scratch for monster.

The monster roared and swung its arm. Scarlett jumped back, barely avoiding the attack.

The claw smashed into the ground where she had been standing.

BOOM!

Dust and rocks flew everywhere.

Meanwhile, on the other side.

Malphas was still fighting the first monster.

Lightning flashed again and again as he clashed with the monster repeatedly.

But even he was slowly being pushed back.

The monster was incredibly strong and durable.

It punched toward him.

Malphas blocked with his sword, but the force still pushed him backward across the ground.

He stopped himself by stabbing his sword into the ground, lightning spreading from the blade.

He then dashed forward again, striking the monster's leg joint with a lightning slash.

The monster roared and kicked toward him.

Malphas crossed his arms and lightning formed a barrier.

The kick sent him flying backward, crashing through a tree before landing on the ground.

He immediately stood up again, breathing slightly heavier now.

On the other side, Scarlett was also being pushed back by the second monster. Even with Mark supporting her, they were struggling to hold it back.

The monster slammed its fist down again.

Scarlett jumped back.

Mark raised a stone wall again, but it shattered instantly.

Both of them were forced to retreat step by step.

The monster roared.

The two Rank Five monsters were simply too strong.

Malphas wiped blood from his lip and looked at the battlefield.

Meanwhile Amon watched it from afar. Few distance away from him were others. Some fighting monsters. Some afraid. Ethan was among them.

Amon got up from his position.

Then sat it. There standing a monster around fifteen meters tall. It was a wyvern.

The mouth if wyvern opened wide as it scream at Amon.
