The Supporting Actress Made A Comeback-Chapter 1002 - 1006: Just Passing By
Little Tangguan and Little Honey Pot are over four months old now, having just mastered the art of rolling over. They love to roll around, getting quite playful, and often lie on their tummies, smiling and glancing all around.
Yet, after a while of looking around, perhaps feeling a bit impatient with lying down, they clumsily turn over, roll around on the small bed, sometimes bumping into their brother or sister. The two siblings laugh uncontrollably, seemingly amused by who knows what.
Zhao Mei and Zhaozhu spend their days carefully watching these two children and often play with them, frequently amused to the point of being unable to contain their laughter.
Jie Kong has been quite busy in Jingxin House recently. Since the last time he saw Mo Shu, it seems like ages have passed.
These days, Jie Kong appears somewhat distracted, seemingly lost in thought no matter what he’s doing.
Sun Qing noticed this and sympathetically whispered to him, "Lately, Princess Mo seems to be quite busy; she’s not even often carrying the children."
Jie Kong cast a cold glance at him, "Chatterbox."
But he couldn’t help thinking about those two little ones.
Those two children are actually very cute.
Fragrant and soft, their skin is tender and white like fresh tofu, and their smiles are utterly charming.
As a mother, has she really stopped carrying her children?
What exactly is she busy with?
Jie Kong pondered this, his pen in hand remaining still for a long time, allowing the ink to drip from the tip and blur the fine paper below.
Sun Qing lightly coughed and said, "After all, Princess Mo is your savior; maybe you should help look after the children? Consider it a repayment."
Jie Kong glanced again, replying coldly, "Fine then, let’s go see those two little ones."
Poor little things.
Even their mother doesn’t want to carry them, leaving only him, neither uncle nor father, to lend a helping hand.
Soon, he arrived at Moxiang Garden.
Jie Kong pushed the door open and entered, discovering that the living room at Moxiang Garden had somehow been transformed into a children’s playground.
The floor was covered with some ambiguously soft material, in various colors, with Zhao Mei and the two infants sprawled boldly upon it, appearing rather bizarre.
Jie Kong glanced around, curious, bending down to press it.
Soft.
Two children sleeping tranquilly upon it, quite quiet.
A gentle breeze passed through, the children sleeping peacefully, the weather not overly warm.
Zhao Mei wasn’t sleeping and rose to ask for his greeting, saying, "The Princess is in the study, and the young masters have been asleep for quite a while. This servant will go and inform her now."
Jie Kong felt perhaps his timing was off; he came here with good intentions to assist that woman by checking on these two little ones.
Now with the children sleeping, naturally, he had no reason to continue staying.
Should Zhao Mei really go and inform that woman, what would that make him?
If someone misunderstood, they might wrongly assume he had designs on her.
Feeling he shouldn’t take that risk, Jie Kong said, "No need, just passing by and came to take a look; I didn’t come to see her."
Zhao Mei was slightly taken aback but then nodded, saying, "Princess Mo has been rather busy lately, often struggling to eat meals on time. If the master has no pressing matters, could you perhaps persuade the Princess? She’s been in the study for ages, hasn’t even had a sip of water."
Jie Kong frowned, saying, "How can the children be well-fed if she doesn’t drink water?"
