The Trending Topic Herself: The Villainess is the Superstar!-Chapter 31: Moving Back to the Bedroom
Maya noticed that Kiki took a long time to return and sat back in a secluded corner.
Her eyes were slightly red, and she kept taking out tissues to wipe them, as if she had suffered some grievance.
She wasn’t like this when she left just now...
Maya looked over to where Eric was supposed to be, and saw that he wasn’t there either.
Maya couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. It seemed that the male and female leads now had some interaction. Their way of getting along was like frenemies; occasional quarrels were normal. Seeing Kiki crying now, Eric was probably still thinking about her in his heart!
Before leaving, Yolanda Sawyer called both Ian and Maya to her room.
Yolanda asked Maya to sit next to her and affectionately held her hand.
"Maya, don’t be afraid. If there’s anything, Grandma will stand up for you. Tell Grandma, is Ian still not staying in your bedroom?"
"No, Grandma..."
Ian was indeed staying in a bedroom, just not the same one as Maya. Ian was on the second floor, Maya on the third.
"Don’t think about making excuses for him. I watched him grow up, do you think I don’t know his bad temper?" Yolanda looked at Ian disapprovingly, "I’ve told you so many times that couples need to compromise. Who can put up with your bad temper! You speak so little and barely smile. It’s a wonder Maya hasn’t asked for a divorce! You married such a good wife, can’t you be a little nicer to her?"
Maya didn’t expect Yolanda to have such a good impression of the original. Logically, given Ian’s pride, it wouldn’t be surprising even if he married an angel. No one ever said anything bad about Ian when he was with the original.
Ian’s usual cold demeanor was somewhat softened in front of Yolanda. He lowered his head slightly, listening to the lecture with a bit of obedience.
Yolanda sighed, "I’m getting older, and the greatest wish of an old person is to see their children and grandchildren doing well. If I could have a great-grandchild, that would be even better."
Yolanda’s gaze was heavy, "Ian, I know about you moving out. What kind of image is this? I’m not expecting you to immediately give me a big, chubby grandson, but you two can’t keep being at odds like this. If you still listen to me, Ian, move back to the bedroom tonight. Stop being at odds with Maya."
If Ian moved back, wouldn’t it reduce her personal space?
"Grandma, actually, I think this setup is pretty good. If Ian doesn’t want to move back, then let it be."
But then a chilly gaze shot over, not from Yolanda, but from Ian.
Maya couldn’t understand. She was speaking up for Ian, so why was he giving her such a cold look?
"You just think of what’s best for him," Yolanda wasn’t sure whether to be gratified or something else.
"I understand, Grandma."
Ian seemed to have agreed.
"Good, good, good..." Yolanda nodded repeatedly, "Seeing you two make up makes me completely satisfied."

Ian moved back to the bedroom that day. What was once a space for one now had an extra person, and Maya wasn’t used to it.
The plot became even more dramatic, but Maya had no time to think about why.
Ian was still in his shirt and trousers, organizing his clothes.
Maya went to bed early as usual, but with an extra person in the room, she couldn’t fall asleep. So she stuck out her head from under the covers to watch him.
When Ian turned around again, he saw her staring at him with bright eyes, looking as silly as the bear plush next to her.
Ian didn’t notice the warmth in his eyes; he just found the bear next to Maya an eyesore.
The large plush bear took up the other side of the bed, about two meters long, approximately as wide as two Mayas.
Just as Ian was about to move the eyesore plush bear, Maya grabbed his hand, "What are you doing?"
She was wearing just a thin nightdress, revealing the white skin at her collarbone as she moved.
"If it sleeps here, where do I sleep?"
"You, you sleep..."
Maya paused. The plush bear was so large, it indeed occupied Ian’s space. But this plush bear had been with her for such a long time. She hugged the fluffy bear to sleep every night. Now that she suddenly had to give up her "bed partner," how could she accept that?
"Hubby, I know you don’t actually want to come over. I love you so much, I could never bear to let you suffer even a little. So hubby, you might as well go back to your original room; come back whenever you’re comfortable. I promise not to tell Grandma! This plush bear... should stay here..." 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
Ian nearly laughed at her shameless words.
"I’m going to the study to handle some work. I hope when I come back, I’ll see a space for me to sleep."
After Ian left, Maya hugged the bear, which was so large it couldn’t be encircled by one of her arms, feeling quite melancholic, "My dear bear, I didn’t expect us to part so soon."
Maya rubbed her face against the plush bear, whose expression remained bold and unruly.
In the end, Maya had a servant move the plush bear away.
When Ian returned, he was in a smoky gray silk pajama set, with broad shoulders and long legs. His freshly dried hair was slightly disheveled, and without his glasses, his superior features were fully revealed.
"Still not asleep?" His voice was slightly hoarse, possibly from fatigue.
Maya stopped pretending to sleep and opened her eyes, "How did you know I wasn’t asleep?"
"I guessed."
"Guessed?"
Maya watched Ian as he lay down; the bed was large, leaving quite a gap between them.
Maya admired Ian’s breathtaking face up close. Perhaps because he wasn’t wearing glasses, his long eyes lacked the usual coldness and scrutiny.
"Hubby, I’m serious. If you can’t make it, you should become a star. Look at me, someone with not much brains can make a living, surely you would become very famous!"
Ian turned his head to give her a look, his sharp brows arching.
"Get some rest."
After those words, Ian didn’t speak again.
That night, Maya dreamed. The plush bear she liked suddenly came to life, looking adorable and charming.
Maya was overjoyed and immediately hugged it, constantly rubbing and caressing its face. She couldn’t believe such a wondrous thing could happen to her.
However, once the plush bear came to life, it became disobedient and surprisingly strong, pushing her away and walking off.
After being by her side for so long, how could it suddenly not recognize her? Maya felt a burst of anger and stubbornly hugged the plush bear tight.
"Run, I dare you to run; let’s see how you’ll run now!"
Maya entwined her limbs around the plush bear.
