The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 129: I Just Think They’re Stupid_1
Amadeus Yancey hooked his neck, eyes lowered as he looked at the reply he had just received on his phone, the corners of his mouth unconsciously curling up.
He also glanced back toward the rear of the Great Hall.
The sight made the person next to him nervous, involuntarily turning their head to look back, only to see densely packed students seated behind them.
What in the world was this big Buddha looking at?
Nathalie Quinlan hadn’t taken a seat in the first row; instead, Ghania Quinlan, relying on the Quinlan family’s connections, settled herself down in the third row with ease, drawing envious glances from many of the students.
"Nathalie, Ghania Quinlan has sat down in the third row."
Freddy Cagwin, with a mocking tone, whispered, "The Quinlan family is really dumb. So many people came today, and apart from them, who let their own family sit in the front? They just love to show off, thinking it makes them stand out!"
"They have no idea how tacky they look in the eyes of those who truly have status. Look, even Zayn Fisher’s mom doesn’t sit with them, and they think they are making an impression."
Nathalie Quinlan, seeing Ghania Quinlan sit in the front from a distance, finished replying to her message and put her phone away, replying without surprise, "Ghania Quinlan has always been like that, you didn’t just meet her today."
Freddy let out a snort, barely concealing his disgust, "That’s true."
"I just think they’re stupid, that’s all!"
"They don’t even understand the simple concept that ’the more you lack something, the more you want to flaunt it’. No wonder they can’t squeeze into the upper society!"
Just look at the Fishers, the Tuckers, those with more wealth and influence, none of them act like the Quinlans, dressing as if walking the red carpet and showing off."
Embarrassing!
After a thunderous round of applause, the principal finished speaking, and the late-arriving professor from Tsinghua University finally showed his true colors.
The man, probably just over 40, wore the simple checked shirt and suit pants favored by science and technology men, with every button done up to the collar, not letting a single thread show, clearly someone with a serious and unassuming personality.
But his physical appearance was exceptional; even in his meticulous attire, it didn’t detract from his handsomeness.
Strong brows, big eyes, and pronounced facial features.
His brows seemed to be perpetually furrowed, with slight wrinkles between them, yet he appeared particularly spirited, and tall enough at 1.8 meters, his aura mature and exuding the charm of a grown man.
He spoke slowly, his pace even as he talked about several interesting aspects of studying.
His speech was witty and humorous, eliciting intermittent applause from the Great Hall.
Justin Wafford had been paying attention to the person lecturing on stage, and as he watched, he suddenly turned to look at Nathalie Quinlan’s face as if struck by lightning.
He felt it strange, his brows furrowed tight, then looked at the lecturing man on stage again.
Turning back, he took in the carefree girl who hadn’t been listening closely.
The more he looked, the less he could hold back, blurting out, "Nathalie, why do I feel like you look a bit like the professor from Tsinghua?"
As soon as he said this, several people sitting in that area all turned to look at Nathalie Quinlan.
And indeed, they did look rather alike.
It was just a casual remark from him, not really thinking Nathalie Quinlan could have any connection with the Tsinghua professor. After speaking, he touched his nose and muttered to himself resentfully, "Attractive people often resemble each other, it must be a coincidence."
The Quinlan family’s scandal of having a fake heiress had made quite the commotion in the upper circle, and thanks to the Quinlan family, people in the circle had all heard that the fake heiress’s biological parents were from Hillwood.
The Tsinghua professor lived in Beijing; it just couldn’t be connected to Hillwood.
