Chapter 35: Chapter 35: The Big Boss is Both Beautiful and Dashing_1

Nathalie Quinlan stuffed her backpack into the desk, extended her hand, and gave hers a squeeze, "Thank you, Nathalie Quinlan."

Wow, so cool!

Jhovany Sullivan’s cheeks flushed with a rosy hue, and she was so electrified it took her a while to snap back to reality.

The new student’s fingers were quite long, but the palms were a bit cold. Jhovany Sullivan wondered if it was because of the wind chill. She patted her own face, cooling her cheeks, and silently closed the window next to her seat.

She even kicked the seat of the classmate in front of her, "Tedrick Xena, I’m cold, close the window, will you?"

"It’s August and you’re still cold..." The classmate in front complained but considerately pulled the open window shut.

Nathalie Quinlan took a bottle of gum out of her backpack and noticed their little movement. Her dark and beautiful eyes glanced at her new desk mate but said nothing. She dug around in her single shoulder bag for a while before finally finding a small object and handed it over to her.

"For you."

"What is it?" Jhovany Sullivan instinctively picked up the item handed to her. It was an extremely thin bracelet with a round, shiny pendant on it. She lifted the pendant to take a closer look and discovered a particularly shiny crystal inside that sparkled in the sunlight.

She couldn’t help exclaiming "Wow" in admiration, holding the bracelet fondly, "Nathalie Quinlan, are you really giving this to me? It’s so beautiful."

It was too beautiful!

She had never seen such a pretty bracelet.

The crystal inside looked just like real diamonds.

Seeing that she liked it, Nathalie Quinlan’s lips curved into a slight smile, casually responding, "A friend gave it to me, but I never wear it. Instead of keeping it in my backpack, it’s better on the wrist of someone who likes it. Keep it."

Jhovany Sullivan happily accepted it, yet felt embarrassed. She pursed her lips and said, "Thank you, then I’ll give you a little gift some other day."

The corners of Nathalie Quinlan’s eyes tilted up slightly, making her look both beautiful and cool, with her gorgeous legs casually bent beneath the desk. Her eyes seemed to be electrifying, "No need."

Jhovany Sullivan felt the same electrifying feeling again. Why did she always find her new female classmate so handsome?

Touching her burning cheeks, she stammered, "You gave me a gift, and it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t give you something in return."

"If you won’t accept my gift, then I can’t keep this either." Reluctantly, she placed the bracelet on the desktop and pushed it toward Nathalie Quinlan, her eyes hardly leaving the bracelet, clearly showing her fondness for it.

Nathalie Quinlan raised her eyebrows, her gaze resting on Jhovany’s slightly reddened cheeks and hopeful eyes, and finally nodded reluctantly after a pause.

"Alright."

Just at that moment, the homeroom teacher entered the room and walked up to the podium to tap the desktop, dispersing everyone, who returned to their seats.

The teacher on the podium began discussing the precautions for the new school term.

Nathalie Quinlan listened impatiently when suddenly, her phone in the desk vibrated.

She looked down, eyes lowered to retrieve her phone.

A new message popped up.

There was no name signed, just a string of bizarre Latin numbers making up the entire ID.

[Boss, the goods you’ve been waiting for have arrived. The auction starts in one hour, hurry up and come over.]

Nathalie Quinlan’s fair fingers flew as she replied.

[OK.]

Thankfully, the teacher on the podium had finally finished speaking and began assigning people to move books.

As the study representative, Jhovany Sullivan was busy arranging for people to go downstairs and fetch the books.

Nathalie Quinlan stood up, packing her backpack, and zipped up her single shoulder bag before saying, "I’ve got something to do later and need to leave for a bit. If the teacher comes, could you please ask for leave on my behalf?"

"You’re leaving now?" Jhovany Sullivan was taken aback.
