Chapter 36: Chapter 36: Little Ancestor, Youโ€™ve Finally Come_1

Nathalie Quinlan quickly packed up her things with swift and practiced moves, grabbed her phone from the desk, and hastily said, "Okay, thank you for that."

"But, teacher..." ๐™›๐’“๐“ฎ๐™š๐”€๐’†๐’ƒ๐“ท๐’๐“ฟ๐™š๐“ต.๐™˜๐’๐’Ž

Before she could finish her sentence, she saw her new deskmate had already briskly walked away without looking back.

Jhovany Sullivan was beside herself with anxiety.

There was the school opening ceremony coming up next. What if the teacher realized Nathalie Quinlan was missing?

...

An underground auction site around McKinney.

At the moment, all kinds of high-end cars were parked outside the unremarkable bar.

Nathalie Quinlan paid the taxi driver, bought a duckbill cap on a street corner, pulled it down over her head, covering most of her face and only revealing a delicate jawline as she followed the bustling crowd inside.

"My dear ancestor, you finally came!" Silvania Ingram recognized Nathalie Quinlan as she came in with the crowd, grabbed her arm, and said, "Hurry up, the auction has already started."

The bar looked dilapidated from the outside but inside, it was an entirely different world.

The inside of the bar was large, with an auction stage set up in the middle and separate private rooms all around.

People in the private rooms could clearly see what was being auctioned below, but those below couldnโ€™t see into the private rooms.

At the entrance, there was a checkpoint for invitation letters.

Nathalie Quinlan noticed that the security guards had bulges in their trouser pockets. Judging by the size, it was probably weapons.

Lowie Wilmarโ€™s place wasnโ€™t bad at all.

Nathalie Quinlan, with her hands in her pockets and a nonchalant look in her eyes, followed her steps inside.

...

The auction below was in full swing.

In private room B02.

Richardo Fisher was restless, glancing over at Amadeus Yancey from time to time, but the man with drooping eyes seemed disinterested in the auction below, toying with his nicotine inhaler the whole time.

His handsome face was especially charming, although the malice in his eyes was too intense.

A bit of his forceful wrist could be seen from beneath his sleeve, with the Buddhist beads on it particularly eye-catching.

"Amadeus, the auction is more than halfway through. Arenโ€™t you going to make a move?" Richardo Fisher couldnโ€™t help but ask him.

Amadeus Yancey lifted his eyelids to glance below, not changing his pose in the slightest, and touched his thin lips, saying, "No rush."

Alfred Garland, standing beside him like a bodyguard, quietly explained to Richardo Fisher, "Mr. Fisher, the item Amadeus is waiting for hasnโ€™t started yet."

Richardo Fisher pursed his lips, wanting to ask what exactly Amadeus Yancey intended to bid on. But given his little brother-in-lawโ€™s significant status and their average relationship, he could only suppress the curiosity in his heart and sit down to continue waiting.

Seconds and minutes passed.

Finally, there was a change on the auction stage.

The auctioneer who had been in charge that morning stepped down, replaced by a young man.

The man, probably in his mid-twenties, had an innocuous face, but around his neck dangled a skull pendant that was completely at odds with his appearance.

"Next up for auction is todayโ€™s main attraction, which I believe many of you here are interested in. I wonโ€™t waste time with a lengthy introduction. Bring on the item."

Two beautiful models around 1.7 meters tall brought up a plate, lifted the red cloth covering it.

Something that looked like meat or a type of fungus appeared before their eyes.

"One kilogram of Flesh Ganoderma, consigned for sale by the owner. The starting bid is 2 million! Bids increase by 100,000 each time."

Having been around McKinney for quite some time, Richardo Fisher was seeing the legendary Flesh Ganoderma for the first time, and he stared in awe.

Just as he was about to ask,

He heard the man who hadnโ€™t placed a bid throughout the auction suddenly say, "Increase the bid, 4 million."

An increase of 2 million in one go?

He was startled, but knowing that Amadeus Yancey had asked him to come to bid on his behalf, he stood up to place a bid.
