The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 332: You Are Avoiding Me, Why?
Victor Vance staggered back a step.
Even though he had been expecting it, he couldn’t help but smile bitterly upon learning the truth.
"He doesn’t have a cuckold fetish. He wants to leave me with nothing..."
He recalled what Naomi Kenway had said—that Nathaniel Lynch had likely been cheating on him with Renee Jennings for a long time.
"And maybe to get rid of me so he could be with his new lover."
Victor Vance scoffed, but his eyes were ice-cold. "After what Nathaniel Lynch did to me, there’s no way I’m letting him off the hook!"
"Oh, by the way, Senior Brother, could you send me your friend’s contact information? To be honest, there’s something I need to ask him for help with."

After learning that Nathaniel Lynch had transferred one percent of his shares to Renee Jennings, Sophia Zobel called and scolded him.
"Nathaniel, Son, have you lost your mind? How could you give one percent of the shares to Renee Jennings? Even if she marries into our family, she’s still an outsider! It’s good enough that we provide for her. How could you transfer actual shares to her?!"
Nathaniel Lynch was at a photo studio for an endorsement shoot. It was a break, and people were bustling around him. Hearing this, he gave a cold laugh. "Mom, don’t worry. What’s one percent of the shares? Even if I gave her ten percent, she’d have to be alive to spend it."
He lowered his voice for the last part, and the ruthless look in his eyes was chilling.
"Son, are you planning to..." Sophia Zobel fell silent for a moment.
Nathaniel Lynch glanced around at the crowd. After making sure no one was paying attention, he spoke slowly, "I can’t stand her much longer. She’s like a ravenous wolf that can’t be fed, and she even dares to threaten me with what she knows. Mom, don’t worry. I’ll make it clean, no matter what. But now isn’t the right time. I need her to issue a clarification for me first."
Sophia Zobel breathed a sigh of relief. "It’s good that you have a plan. But taking a life brings bad karma. Why not just turn her into a vegetable? Spare her life that way. No matter what, our family’s shares can’t fall into an outsider’s hands. Your brother called me, and he feels the same way."
Nathaniel Lynch agreed. "Mona is with you, right? When are you sending him back?"
Sophia Zobel chided him from the other end of the line, "Mona complained to me, you know. He said you and that venomous woman, Renee Jennings, ganged up on him! Why should my precious grandson be bullied by you? You can forget about having Mona back for now. I don’t think your mental state has been very normal lately either."
"Mom..." Nathaniel Lynch said impatiently, "You’re getting old. You should send Mona back to me."
"No." Sophia Zobel was unusually firm about this. "You don’t seem like someone who has things under control. No matter what happens with Victor Vance, you can’t involve my precious grandson. What has my grandson done wrong? He’s only six and doesn’t understand anything! Mona will stay with me for a while. We’ll see how you and Renee Jennings behave later on."
Nathaniel Lynch had no choice but to agree, knowing in his heart that this was something Victor Vance had done on purpose.

"Nina, can you get me a towel?"
A lazy, sexy voice drifted from behind the bathroom door, muffled by the sound of running water.
Naomi Kenway got up from the sofa. After hesitating for a moment, she grabbed a new towel and handed it toward the door.
"Ethan..."
A large, well-defined hand reached out. Naomi Kenway held the towel out a little further. "Here it is."
The moment Ethan Shaw’s hand touched hers, Naomi Kenway suddenly let go. She cleared her throat. "I’ve passed you the towel. Take your time."
After saying that, Naomi Kenway got into bed and huddled under the covers. Her eyes were fixed on the tablet in front of her, but her mind was elsewhere, lost in thought.
A moment later, the sound of water stopped. The bathroom door opened, and Ethan Shaw walked out, having dried his hair.
He went straight to the bed, and Naomi Kenway reflexively scooted further toward the inside.
Ethan Shaw watched her without a word, then suddenly took out his phone and pulled up a photo. "This is a picture Ian’s teacher posted on her Moments. Look how cool our Ian looks dribbling the ball."
Naomi Kenway’s attention was immediately captured. She turned her head to look and saw that it was indeed a cool picture of Ian dribbling a basketball. A smile touched her lips. "Our Ian is so photogenic. He looks handsome from every angle. Teacher Hilton posted this? She posted on her Moments? How come I didn’t see it?"
"She posted it half an hour ago. Maybe you just haven’t noticed it yet."
Naomi Kenway nodded, took out her own phone, and started scrolling. Sure enough, she found the unread Moments post. "I see it now. Ian looks so cool."
As she spoke, she liked the post.
"Yeah, he is very cool."
Suddenly, she felt a warm, ticklish sensation by her ear. As Naomi Kenway turned her head, she felt soft lips brush against the shell of her ear. She froze as if she’d been electrocuted.
"Sorry, I didn’t realize you were so close to me." Coming to her senses, she scooted away.
She wasn’t sure if it was her imagination, but Naomi Kenway felt that Ethan Shaw had moved a little closer along with her.
Naomi Kenway’s eyes narrowed slightly, and she scooted further toward the inside of the bed again.
"You’re about to fall off," Ethan Shaw reminded her with a light chuckle.
"It’s fine." Naomi Kenway was just about to ask Ethan Shaw to move away a bit when he grabbed her arm. His eyes were dark and unreadable. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
"You’re avoiding me. Why?"
Naomi Kenway hadn’t expected Ethan Shaw to be so direct. She was stunned for a moment. "No, I’m not. You’re overthinking it. I didn’t mean anything by it."
"I’m overthinking it?" Ethan Shaw murmured, his gaze fixed on Naomi Kenway. He asked, "Did I do something wrong? Did I offend you? Why have you suddenly started ignoring me?"
By the end, his tone held a hint of accusation and grievance.
Naomi Kenway’s heart fluttered in a panic. "I’m not ignoring you. I just... I just..." She steadied herself and decided to be clear. "Why do you care whether I ignore you or not? To be blunt, we’re just in a partnership, aren’t we? It’s just for the sake of giving Ian a complete and happy family."
Though her words were harsh, Naomi Kenway didn’t dare to look into Ethan Shaw’s eyes. She didn’t know what she was running from, either.
’But it’s better to clear some things up to avoid unnecessary trouble. She really didn’t want to make the same mistakes again. A partnership without any romantic entanglements was the safest path.’
"A partnership... for Ian’s sake..." Ethan Shaw suddenly laughed, his eyes as dark as the night. "You’re right."
Naomi Kenway felt a strange pang in her heart. Hearing his words didn’t make her as happy as she’d imagined. But her reason was always one step ahead, suppressing the sprout of emotion. She said, "It’s good that you understand."
"But what if I don’t want to understand?"
Naomi Kenway looked up at him. "What did you say?"
"Do you really not understand? No, maybe you understand perfectly well." Ethan Shaw lowered his gaze, looking somewhat dejected. He suddenly raised his head and looked directly into Naomi Kenway’s eyes. "I don’t want to maintain a partnership. I want our relationship to go further."
Hearing him admit it, Naomi Kenway’s heart skipped a beat.
"Don’t be so quick to reject me." Ethan Shaw tried his best to keep his tone from sounding too devastated, but being rejected during his first-ever confession of love, the dejection and disappointment were written all over his face.
"Please, just give me a little time, okay? At least don’t resist me so openly. I can change anything you don’t like about me. If I was too abrupt, then let’s go back to how we were before. I won’t pressure you, but I hope you won’t push me away. Okay?"
Ethan Shaw’s gaze was sincere. He knew he’d just spoken a bunch of awkward, clumsy, foolish words, but he couldn’t help it. He had already fallen into the pit named Naomi Kenway, and he couldn’t—and didn’t want to—get out.
