The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 333: Ace Variety Show "Happy Saturday
Naomi Kenway’s mind was in a bit of a turmoil. Her gaze was suddenly drawn to the rose sitting on the table.
The once clumsily crafted rose had become increasingly perfect. At a glance, it looked even more vibrant than a real flower. Naomi Kenway knew this was the result of Ethan Shaw’s repeated adjustments.
The harsh words stuck in her throat, unable to come out. In the end, Naomi Kenway just nodded.
"Give me some time. I need to think this through."

After filming for "Youth" wrapped, a lot of promotional activities were scheduled. Mango TV’s hit variety show, "Happy Saturday," invited the main cast and crew to be on the program. Ruby Preston had called Naomi Kenway beforehand, telling her this was one of the pre-planned promotions and that her attendance was mandatory.
Naomi Kenway agreed. As Mango TV’s top-tier variety show, appearing on "Happy Saturday" could significantly boost her exposure and popularity. Previously, Naomi Kenway wouldn’t have been qualified for an invitation. But times had changed. She was no longer the target of online hate campaigns; she now had a loyal fanbase.
Ruby Preston wouldn’t be attending due to her busy schedule, but she had revealed to Naomi Kenway that the other main guests from the "Youth" cast would be Best Actor Jude Shepherd, Best Actress Yara Preston, and Wayne Wyatt.
The "Happy Saturday" production team had contacted Naomi Kenway in advance, so she knew that besides the "Youth" cast, the main actors from the "Whispering Spring" cast would also be guests.
Naomi Kenway knew a little about the movie "Whispering Spring." It was a modern urban romance about a male and female lead who parted ways in their school days, only to meet again in the workplace seven years later and rekindle their relationship.
Naomi Kenway knew the male lead: Nathaniel Lynch. She felt a subconscious revulsion at the mere mention of his name. However, it would be a huge waste to give up an appearance on a top-tier variety show just because she disliked him. Nathaniel Lynch certainly wasn’t worth that.
In the blink of an eye, the day of the recording arrived. Naomi Kenway had already received the script for the promotional segments and had spoken with the director of "Happy Saturday."
Naomi Kenway came out of her dressing room and saw Nathaniel Lynch after taking only a few steps.
Nathaniel Lynch had his own private dressing room, something he himself had requested. Given his influence and financial power, few people dared to comment on it.
Nathaniel Lynch walked out in a suit. The moment he caught sight of Naomi Kenway, his already grim expression turned even more hostile. He shot her a vicious glare and snorted coldly.
’If it weren’t for her teaming up with Victor Vance,’ he thought, ’how could I have been humiliated on the trending topics list with Renee Jennings, or even been forced to give away one percent of my shares?’
"What are you staring at? Stare again and I’ll gouge your eyes out!" Naomi Kenway’s tone was fierce, clearly unintimidated by Nathaniel Lynch’s glare.
The surrounding area was empty, with no other celebrities passing by. Nathaniel Lynch clenched his fists, veins popping on the back of his hands.
The dressing room door opened, and Yara Preston walked out. After filming together for so long, she and Naomi Kenway had become good friends. Seeing Naomi standing there stunned, she walked over and patted her on the shoulder. "Nicole, why are you just standing here?"
Her gaze shifted, and she greeted him with a smile. "Best Actor Lynch, what are you doing standing around here too?"
Nathaniel Lynch dropped his ferocious expression and forced a casual smile. "Best Actress Preston, long time no see. I was just wandering around." He glanced at Naomi Kenway, his eyes unreadable. "You two go ahead and chat. I won’t interrupt."
After Nathaniel Lynch left, Yara Preston’s smile vanished. She asked, "Did you two have a conflict? I heard voices just now."
"I guess so. It’s all his fault for being a scumbag."
Yara Preston smiled knowingly. "That’s just the kind of person Nathaniel Lynch is. He’s so high-maintenance. He looks all prim and proper, but he’s actually a player." She offered a bit of advice. "You should try to stay away from him. His favorite type is pretty girls like you. I’ve filmed with him before, and aside from running lines, I barely spoke to him. We were just cordial enough for appearances. You know how it is. He’s usually fine, but sometimes he just... flips out. And his gaze is so lecherous and sly, it makes your skin crawl."
Yara Preston shivered as she said this.
"Okay, thank you, Iris."
"It’s nothing." Yara Preston gave her a warm, brilliant smile. "I most admire dedicated actors like you. It’s easy for women to be taken advantage of in the entertainment industry, so remember to protect yourself."
"Hazel, the director says it’s time to gather for the recording," Yara Preston’s assistant said, running over.
Yara Preston nodded. "Let’s go. We’ll head over together."

Naomi Kenway sat backstage for a while. When she heard the cue, she went on stage with Yara Preston and the others. They had practiced this entrance many times.
The host, River King, was a top professional in his field. He stood in the center of the stage with the other two hosts and raised his microphone to introduce the show. "Welcome, everyone, to ’Happy Saturday’! I’m your host, River King!"
The two hosts beside him introduced themselves in turn. "I’m Yoyo!"
"And I’m Chase!"
River King, holding his microphone, said with a smile, "Let’s welcome this episode’s guests! We are incredibly honored to have invited several of the main actors from the casts of ’Youth’ and ’Whispering Spring.’ Come on, let’s give them a warm welcome!"
The audience below erupted in enthusiastic cheers and applause.
Naomi Kenway bowed and smiled along with the others beside her. She could faintly hear people in the audience shouting her name. Looking up, she was surprised to see quite a few light-up signs with her name on them. Naomi Kenway paused for a moment, then raised a hand to greet her fans.
The cheers from the audience grew even louder.
From the "Youth" cast, the male lead, Jude Shepherd, introduced himself. He was concise and, off-screen, always wore a serious, unsmiling expression.
Yara Preston went next. Compared to Jude Shepherd, her voice was much gentler.
Naomi Kenway followed right after, taking the microphone. "Hello, everyone. I’m Naomi Kenway, and I play Hugh Chandler in the movie ’Youth.’"
The host, Yoyo, who wore her hair in playful pigtails, smiled. "Ms. Kenway, I heard that your character, Hugh Chandler, is a character with a lot of contrast? I’m so excited."
Naomi Kenway nodded and added with a smile, "He’s a character who goes through a huge transformation. I really admire the character of Hugh Chandler, and I hope everyone will like him too."
"They definitely will," said the host, Chase. "I could stare at Ms. Kenway’s face alone for three hours straight."
Naomi Kenway gave a modest smile. "Thank you." 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
While Naomi Kenway was answering, Wayne Wyatt was staring at her from the side. He only snapped out of it when the microphone was passed to him. He faced the audience, his smile bright and cheerful. "Hi everyone, I’m Wayne Wyatt! I play Theodore Rhodes in the movie, and I’m the goddess’s love interest!"
His voice was full of pride and joy, like a fanboy who had successfully met his idol.
River King chuckled, amused. "I can see that Wyatt is a hardcore fan of our Ms. Kenway."
