The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 123: Found A Friend!
Asher finally reached the garden only to find Abigail sitting there, chatting happily with an unknown woman... No, not unknown. It’s the female lead of the movie, Rebecca Anderson.
Back when he had first seen this woman, she was already selected. She only nodded politely at him and continued onward, but he knew there was something off about her. She gave off a mysterious vibe, the kind that made him wary of her.
But since he had already decided to find Abigail for the villain role back then, he couldn’t just do whatever he wanted despite being an investor. He played politics and accepted Rebecca as the female lead despite feeling reluctant.
But his intuition especially went off against her when Abigail met the woman during the meet-up. Rebecca deliberately talked across the table, even exchanging cheers.
What the heck was that all about?
Asher frowned upon seeing this woman. Even he didn’t know why he had this feeling that something going wrong because of this female lead. Thus, he instantly butted his head and grabbed Abigail’s wrist, saying anxiously, "Where did you run off to?! Do you have any idea how long I’ve been searching for you?"
Abigail quickly turned into Olivia and got up, nodding at the man with an indifferent face. Of course, there was indeed a trace of softness spread on her cheeks upon seeing Asher.
Thus, even if Olivia had bipolar disorder, the current scene didn’t really raise suspicions for ordinary people. Unfortunately, Rebecca wasn’t an ordinary woman. She already knew of Abigail’s real identity.
But she had no desire to point it out. She quickly nodded at the investor and walked away without saying a single word.
Asher released the breath he was holding as he whispered to her, "What were the two of you talking about?"
"Uh...." Abigail felt awkward about her identity being nearly exposed, but she didn’t feel like troubling others about this issue. After all, she still wanted to stay away from these two emotionally.
But.... She still ended up blurting out the habit "I accidentally revealed my real nature in front of her because of.... Some other things."
She had thought that Asher would angrily rebuke her or something, but contrary to her expectations, the man only nodded and smiled, "It’s fine. The killer already knows about your identity. So it doesn’t matter."
"Oh..." Abigail let out a sigh. She should have known that this man would be understanding. He wasn’t like Nicholas who only knew how to find faults in her.
She pursed her lips and said, "But I think I misjudged her."
"Who? Rebecca?"
"Yes!" Abigail became excited upon thinking of the conversation they just had. "She was so understanding! Despite finding out about bipolar, she was patient! And most importantly, I finally found someone who’s similar to me in thinking! We both like so many things!"
"I’m glad you found a friend."
Despite feeling reluctant, Asher let Abigail believe she had a friend now. His intuition that something was off was enhanced even more after seeing the two of them meet one another already.
But he didn’t say a single word. At the very least, he wasn’t a single bit like Nicholas who liked forcing this woman into things he didn’t want to do. He was reasonable. He knew there was danger and it couldn’t be avoided.
Wouldn’t it be a better choice for Abigail to have a few friends to take care of her better and keep an eye when he wasn’t looking? Even if danger was from Rebecca herself, Asher would better increase the security around Abigail.
What was the point of forcing her into doing something she didn’t want to do at all?
Thus, he led her back to the room. By this time, Nicholas had long calmed down and was having a conference with his shareholders. He seemed to bush to notice that Asher had entered the room with Abigail towing behind him.
But when the latter noticed the conference, he instantly turned to Abigail and put his finger on his lips, whispering, "Let’s go. We should just stay downstairs."
"Okay! I’m hungry anyway!"
Thus, the two of them walked out of there and went to the restaurant area to have some food.
Downstairs, a table was arranged for several people all together as the guests came forward and sat, having their meals. Abigail glanced around and once she found a table, she stepped forward only to have her wrist grabbed by the man.
Thus, she accidentally missed a step and fell back, only to lie directly into Asher’s arms. The man chuckled into her ears as he whispered, "Looks like you’re too eager to fall in my arms."
Abigail’s face turned red after hearing those words. Her ears felt hot at the moment as she felt his warm breath fanning her skin, caressing her ears. She rubbed her ears and turned around, glaring at the man.
"Your fault! Why did you have to pull my hand like this?!"
"Okay, okay." Asher raised his head as a smile hung at the corner of his lips. "My fault. Now, don’t rush and sit among others. Remember, this face of yours is going to be famous. So you’d better take care of yourself."
"Then..." Abigail scratched her head in confusion. "Where exactly should we eat?"
"Leave it to me. Just follow." Asher looked mysterious in that smile as he turned around and whispered something in the waiter’s ears. The waiter’s eyes lit up as he nodded.
After he was done, he turned toward Abigail and said, "We should go and follow him."
"Okay."
As they walked, they were both led into a private VIP suite full of luxury. It was just that this suite wasn’t of medieval setting. It had a futuristic setting and they had to sit inside a capsule to eat.
What was even more surprising was the shape of that capsule: it was of a heart shape. Once enclosed inside, you wouldn’t be able to get out so fast. The glass would be locked up until you ordered the waiter to open it.
Of course, a waiter would be at the back to wait on the VIPs, but he wouldn’t be able to hear or see anything up until the guests allowed. Thus, the ones inside the capsule had a hundred percent privacy.
Sure, Abigail didn’t know this. She only thought that a heart-shaped seat was too weird. Were they in a romance movie or something?
